The Goddess Made A Mistake Again Chapter 476

Chapter 476: Chapter 476 – Twin Katana’s “I hope that wasn’t discomforting for you guys.” The Announcer said, gesturing to the crowd, “Yes, yes, don’t walk quickly and sit down so that we can already begin…” The audience slowly walked, ignoring the announcer. They weren’t in a hurry as their minds were preoccupied with the betting tickets in their hand. Some grasped it tightly while some put it in their pockets with a nonchalant look but their hands kept on patting unconsciously over the pockets. All of them had one thought in their minds, ‘Did I make the correct choice?’ Those that did change their bets, started worrying whether they did the wrong thing and should change it and those that didn’t change it, are now thinking of whether they should have changed it. Because all thoughts calibrated towards the new change. It could either be something that was just a bluff and didn’t change anything literally or it could be something that would directly change the dynamics of the fight. Something devastating, something interesting… something satisfying. While all thought of many things about their money, Henry sat on the couch with Alice somehow sitting on his lap as he murmured, “How long are they going to take?” “Probably not long… but sir,” Barnical had a difficult look, “You sure you don’t want to change your bet? We can still change it if you wan-” ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ novel⸺fire.net A hand was raised that stopped him. It was Alice. She slowly motioned her hand down while turning her covered face towards Barnical, “My Darling doesn’t change his words, understand. He’s a true man of his words.” With that she turned around, lifted her cover so that Barnical couldn’t see and kissed Henry sultrily. Barnical gulped and turned around, ‘Why can’t I find a woman like that.’ The Announcer’s face finally showed relief as most of the audiences returned to their seats and he clapped. Everyone looked at him and the stage lights dimmed to only him, “NOW Gentlemen, ladies and other weird people, let’s talk about this change huh.” The Announcer gave a specific nod to a guard as he walked out from a corner. The viewers leaned closer as they saw the guard walking to the stage. In his hands was an item covered by a dark black cloth. They couldn’t see what it was but they could tell it was something long. The guard went inside the cage and stood in the middle. He looked at Bone Man to the right and Blind Monk to the left and went towards him. Blind Monk’s back straightened as the guard stopped in front of him, “A Chance for you.” Blind Monk stood calmly and asked, “Why?” “The Client said… ‘You must cut your bonds if you want to be free of them, kid.'” The hair on Blind Monk’s back went up as his body shook. ‘Is that a coincidence or does he actually…’ Blind Monk opened his mouth but the guard shoved the clothed item to him, “Take it, people are waiting for your fight to end. Don’t try to die, I bet a lot against ya.” Blind Monk said nothing as he felt the item through the cloth. He threw away the cloth, unveiling the twin katana’s on his hands. “Tha- That’s a sword?!” “Why is there only two swords?” “How can that be fair?” “Oh my… I- I just lost all my money.” A guy said with a deep gasp as his hand tightly tugged on his hair angrily, “DAMN IT!” Almost half the stage cried at the ‘fair’ change while the others smiled with glee. They thought that it was the right thing to not change their bets. Blind Monk ignored the audience’s anguish as he felt the twin katana’s. They were both long and felt surprisingly light. He swiped a katana with ease and felt the sharp edge cut through the air. “Hahaha… is that supposed to scare me?” Bone Man laughed hysterically, “Two fricking swords ain’t gonna do you any good… just give up an- oh no, don’t. I still want to kill you.” Blind Monk didn’t feel fear from the words but shock at the swords discovery, ‘Whoever it is… they know my identity.’ He grasped the katana’s tightly in each hand and prepared himself, ‘But right now, my only concern is, can I defeat him?’ Blind Monk thought for a moment before shaking his head. He tightened his grasp and felt confident, “With them, I will!” Bone Man grinned, “You got guts, good! It’ll make your death more interesting.” Bone Man tightened his knuckles as he remembered the announcer’s previous words. The change also cut his chains, he didn’t have to hold back anymore and could kill the guy if he wanted. “Alright!” The Announcer shouted, “Let’s continue the fight!” “Dong!” With the bang of a large bell, the fight started and something interesting happened. Blind Monk who was backing out from the fight previously, ran straight for Bone Man. ‘Stupid’ Bone Man smiled and aimed his index fingers. The fingers burst and two very sharp and fast bones shot out. This was his stronger shot, capable enough to penetrate through steel. Blind Monk would have quickly dodged it before, but now, he swiftly struck the bones with his swords and easily deflected them. Bone Man’s eye’s widened at that. But he didn’t have time to question as he stepped back to not get slashed by a katana. He was going to punch but Blind Monk’s left hand was faster as a slash arrived. A sharp screeching sound came as Bone Man’s eyes expanded again. Bone Man instantly pushed his opponent and stepped back. He looked down to his right and saw a deep cut in his bone armor. ‘H- He cut through my armor?!’ Bone Man looked at the Twin Katana’s, ‘Just how sharp are those swords?’ Blind Monk hands grasped the swords with excitement. He could feel how easily he had cut through the armor. Sure it was still tough, but from prior comparison, it was like using a knife to slice jelly. Blind Monk heard the disguised insult coated with fear and felt the slight tremor as he already guessed what was coming. Quickly stepping, spikes burst up from beneath and started followed him as he went for Bone Man again. He has the chance, now he has to grasp it and finish this quickly. A few bone projectiles with sharp fingers came flying at him which he either deflected or dodged as he ran. Bone Man quickly stopped the spikes pursuing and created a few tall spikes in front of him for defense. Yet, with a quiet slicing tune, the spike bone cut down with Blind Monk’s twin slash. Then another incredible thing happened as Blind Monk jumped up and walked over the cut spikes with ease. “NO NO NO!” Bone Man yelled as his outburst created tall jagged spike walls all around him and he shot off multiple bone projectiles towards Blind Monk. And his own actions cost him as a few bone projectiles hit the spike walls and deflected towards random places. One of the place being Bone Man himself as one of the three Sharp Finger Bones deflected against the bone walls and hit him right in the left shoulder. Bone Man cried as the finger penetrated easily through his armor and put a hole as fresh blood poured on the floor. Bone Man suddenly saw a tall shadow above him as Blind Monk jumped up and landed behind him. Before he could do anything, he felt one of the katana’s against his neck.
