“You are free to go Mr. Landon, but please know that you can be called upon anytime to the station for one or two things. Please make yourself available.” The cop said and Landon nodded standing up.
“I will surely heed to your call. Thank you so much.” He said collecting his properties from the cop and walking out with Daniel next to him.
“You are going to see Kimberly now right?” Daniel asked as they hit the road.
“Yes. I can never at rest until I see how she is doing.” He said and Daniel nodded smiling faintly. He understood how Landon was feeling.
“I understand how you are feeling Landon.” He replied as they got to his car. He opened the car and hopped in, and so did Landon too.
He ignited the engine after shutting the doors of the car and drove out of the station.
“You left your car at the hospital right?” Daniel asked and Landon nodded.
“Yes. Thank you for helping me get out of there on time, you saved my day.” Landon said Daniel scoffed.
“C'mon Landon, I am your lawyer. It is my responsibility to be around anytime you need me. So you don’t have to thank me.” He said and Landon nodded.
“And I am sorry if I disturbed you and Ruby.” Landon further said and this made Daniel laugh.
“If it is about that, yes you disturbed. But it is forgivable. You needed me badly, I had to let off other things, but she understands so it’s fine.” Daniel said and Landon nodded.
He looked out of the window while Daniel kept driving. He began to think and soon realized that tears were rolling down his eyes.
“Landon? Are you okay?” Daniel asked and Landon turned his head to look at him.
“I am okay. I just feel so guilty for what is happening to Kimberly right now. She is going through all these because of me.” Landon mumbled cleaning his face with his palm quickly.
“You don’t have to be so hard on yourself Landon, she did it of her free will. You didn’t force her to do it. I understand the guilt is there but crying won’t help. The only way to help her is to get her out of this situation.” Daniel stated and Landon nodded.
“Now that it. I don’t know if I would be capable to help her out. What if she needs a kidney like me?” He asked looking at Daniel as he drove.
“Landon, she didn’t sacrifice hers do you can die again. We would surely find a solution to the problem just like how she found a solution to yours.” He said driving into the hospital compound.
“I don’t want anything happening to her, and that is why I am so scared,” Landon replied releasing his seat belt and hopping out of the car.
“Nothing would happen to her.” Daniel also responded climbing down his vehicle.
They both headed into the hospital walking very fast. Landon was in front, he searched for Peter with his eyes and then spotted him close to the end of the hallway.
He ran towards him and Daniel followed behind him, and this pulled people’s attention to them.
“Mr. Peter, I am so sorry I wasn’t around with you.” Landon rapped on getting to where Peter sat.
Peter rose his head and Landon could see tears in his eyes. This made Landon even more scared.
“Oh, you are back. Thank God you were released. Hope you are well?” He asked cleaning his face and acting like everything is fine.
“Forget about me, Mr. Peter. I need to know how Kim is doing. I saw you crying, what is going on?” He asked in a shaky voice and Daniel placed his hand on Landon's shoulders trying to calm him down.
“Kimberly is fine, Landon, she is resting now, you don’t have to worry,” Peter responded but this didn’t satisfy Landon. He felt Peter was trying to hide something from him.
“But why were you crying then? You should be happy if everything is okay, right?” Landon asked in a more shaky tone and Peter found his eyes watering again.
“I am not crying because of Kimberly Landon. Kimberly would be fine, I promise you that. I am just thinking about my life and I didn’t realize I was shedding tears already.” Peter explained and Landon breathed out looking into the ward.
He saw Kimberly laying on the bed and her eyes were shut. She had all those stuff he had on his face on her face too.
“I am so sorry Kimberly. You would be fine, you would be alright baby. I promise.” He muttered and Daniel placed his hand on his shoulder once again.
“You don’t have to worry. Kimberly is a strong woman. She is going to scale through.” Daniel said and Landon nodded, having more faith.
“Yes, she is. She is going to scale through.” He repeated and Daniel smiled.

The doctor was still sitting in his office, studying some papers when his telephone rang. He picked it up and waited for the caller to speak.
“Good day Mr. Doctor.” A thick masculine voice said from the other end.
“Good Day, this is Doctor Chris. How may I help you?” He asked dropping the paper he held in his hand and paying more attention to the phone call.
“I would love to donate a kidney for Miss Kimberly.” He said and Chris arched his brows.
“Please can you introduce yourself? Who are you to Miss Kimberly? And how do you know about what she needs?” Chris asked.
“I would love to answer those questions when we see. I just decided to tell you this so that you would stop searching for a kidney for her. My kidneys are very healthy and I can still manage using one.” He said.
“I would love you to come down to the hospital so we could talk about this better,” Chris replied.
“Sure. I would be at the hospital very soon. Thank you for your time.” The man said and he hung up.
Chris dropped his phone and sighed heavily. He suddenly found himself so interested in this particular health issue.
“Who could that be?”
