“You think she would love it?” Landon asked Ruby the eleventh time as they walked out of the store.
“You have asked me that for the eleventh time now Mr. Landon. I know you are so nervous about this but trust me she would love this. No doubt.” Ruby said and Landon nodded excitedly.
“Fine. If you say so.” He said and Ruby laughed as she opened the door.
“You said that eleven times too. I won’t want you to ask the same question again.” She said tiredly and Landon chuckled.
“Okay. I won’t repeat it.” He said and Ruby breathed out in relief.
“Now that is a different line.” She said and they laughed as he ignited the engine and drove out of the compound.
“So how do you plan to propose to her?” Ruby asked, and Landon shook his head.
“I am yet to know that. I haven’t even thought of that, I just needed to get this first.” He said and Ruby nodded.
“I understand. But can I be of help to you? I mean, I could help you cook up something for proposal.” She said and Landon took a glimpse of her.
“I would be so grateful if you helped me.” He said and Ruby nodded.
“so what do you want it to be like? I mean the proposal. What are you picturing in your head? I would help you furnish and implement it.” She said and Landon sighed.
“I want something special, not too noisy. Something between the two of us, no other person. I want it to be so emotional. And…” He ranted and Ruby sighed heavily.
“I get it okay? I do understand. And I know what is best for you.” She said and Landon looked at her again.
“And that is?” He asked anxiously.
“You would be using a restaurant. It would be reserved for only both of you that particular day. There will be decorations and all. A beautiful table will be set and lights all around. I hope I am not talking nonsense.” Ruby asked and Landon nodded.
“I do get what you are saying. You are speaking sense, I am picturing it in my head already.” Landon said and Ruby nodded.
“that is good. So you invite her to the dinner like a normal dinner date. You can tie her eyes and walk her in carefully. You should know what is next.” She said and Landon nodded.
“Yes. Thank you so much.” He replied and Ruby nodded smiling.
“It’s nothing. I am happy you are making this decision. I never thought you would make this decision at this time. You never made me believe you would be engaging anytime soon.” Ruby said and Landon smiled shyly.
“I never thought I would think of marriage at this stage of my life. But that changed when I met Kimberly. I don’t want anything else.” He said parking the car next to Ruby's apartment.
“I am so happy for both of you. You are a perfect couple.” She said and he stopped the engine.
“Thank you so much.” He replied and he highlighted from the car. So did Ruby.
They both walked to the house and when they got to the door, Ruby turned to face Landon.
“you should go back now. Please don’t forget to send my greetings to Kimberly.” She said and Landon nodded.
“of course I would. Thank you so much for today.” He said and she shook her head.
“it is nothing.” She replied.
“So good night,” Landon said approaching her to hug her.
“It was nice having you around though,” Ruby said and Landon moved away.
“Same here. Bye.” He said waving to her and walked down the pavement and to his car.
He got to the car, hopped in, and drove off. Ruby stared at him till he went out of sight.

He walked down the street, watching the pictures he had taken. He pulled out his phone to call Alex.
“What do you have for me?” Alex asked from the other end.
“I got some very nice pictures of them hugging.” He replied and Alex laughed.
“Beautiful! This is very good news. Make sure you make the prints out and get it to me in the hospital as soon as possible.” He ordered and he smiled.
“Copy that. See you soon.” He said and he hung up.
Alex smiled widely, loving how things were falling into place for him. After just an hour with Kimberly, he knew he could win her back without stress.

“Are you sure Landon is okay? I am yet to see him.” Kimberly said and Peter bobbed.
“He is alright Kimberly. I know you are worried, but he would be back. I promise. It’s just an hour.” Peter stated and she nodded.
“I know but I wished he was the first person I saw when I opened my eyes,” Kim said and Peter bobbed.
“I understand. But please don’t worry baby. He would be back.” Peter said and at that same moment, the ward door opened and Landon walked in.
“My love, I am so sorry for staying too long.” Landon apologized before even getting to her bed.
“Where did you go? I missed you.” She mumbled and he hugged her.
“I went to attend to something at work, okay? I am back now.” He said and she smiled.
“I am happy you are.” She said, and Peter smiled looking at how cute they looked.
