Clara and her friends settled in just fine. After a few hours of unpacking, They decided to go out to get some groceries. they needed to stock the fridge and all.
Clara stepped out with her friend Raya, leaving Gina alone to sort the rest of the things that needed to be sorted. They boarded a taxi that Raya ordered and they both headed off to the grocery store.
Clara stared out from the window, she could see the beauty and serenity of the environment. It was calm, the weather so warm, the air was fresh and free from toxins.
Clara could already feel herself enjoying the warmth and comfort this place brought to her, the feeling of home and security, she felt all her worries slipping away along with the wind.
The grocery store is located at the center of the town, Making the drive a bit lengthy, but they soon highlighted from the cab and walked into the grocery store.
Clara was so engrossed in picking items from the shelf and throwing them in the shopping cart that she did not realize someone was standing right in front of her until she bumped into her with the shopping cart.
Ouch! Exclaimed the figure.
"Ooh! I'm so sorry " Clara blurted out in panic, thinking she must have hurt her in some way.
It's okay, I'm alright," she smiled.
Are you sure? " Clara asked, a little worried about this person.
"Totally, you don't have to worry, it's just a slight bump, '' said the figure.
I'm mira" said the figure, extending her arms out for a hand shake And Clara did the same.
"Clara, " she said, taking her hands and shaking them.
You are new in town " asked mira.
"Yeah, on vacation with my friends'' Clara said.
What about you? Asked Clara.
"Oh! I live here on the east side of mystic falls," said Mira, her eyes widened as she caught a glimpse of the blue butterfly tattoo on the side of Clara's neck.
Alright! Enjoy your stay here, I have to go now '' see you around" she smiled before walking away.
Clara stared at her retreating figure with a complicated look, she could tell there was something obviously wrong with that person.
Clara! Raya's voice sounded.
Yep " replied Clara.
Who was that? Raya asked, gazing at the direction in which the stranger had just disappeared.
Her name is Mira, I bumped into her mistakenly" she explained.
Oh" Raya said
And Clara continued to push the shopping cart. Shortly after, they headed back to their rented apartment.
Walking away from Clara, Some unknown Emotions flashed through Mira's eyes. She was in doubt, but at the same time very sure of what she had just witnessed.
Hastily but steady she made her way to the nearby woods and shifted into a raven before flying away.
At the east side of mystic falls, a certain group of women in Black cloak were seated around in circles, they chanted spells only they could understand, Small coloured candles were lit and the atmosphere was dense.
Mira had arrived at the place, she shifted back to her human form and stormed into the room where the other witches were.
My lady! My lady!! She called, only to receive silence in return, she paused her steps upon seeing the people in the room. She walked to the side and got seated on the ground like the rest of them. waiting for them to finish with the chantings.
Few minutes passed until the dark witches were done. And the high priestess turned to face Mira.
"Yes Mira, what is it that couldn't wait until we are finished?", The dark witch questioned.
"My lady, I saw something I mean someone at the grocery store today. She was"…
"She was what Mira? Speak up, we don't have all day" the witch asked, impatience Clearly evident in her voice.
"She was carrying the butterfly birthmark on the right side of her neck". Explained Mira and the room fell silent,
"Are you sure of this"?
"Yes, she had green eyes and dark hair, " Mira further explained.
"I see," the dark witch smiled.
"I want you to keep an eye on her, follow her everywhere, I want to know where she lives, who she meets,I want every single detail" the witch ordered and Mira nodded before turning into a raven and flying away to carry out her assignment.
"Carry on sisters" I have someplace to be" said the dark witch named Annette to the others before disappearing into thin air.
Annette materialized inside a room and a long hiss could be heard.
"I thought we agreed that you should never show up unannounced" Xander hissed, clearly annoyed by the witch's appearance.
"Even when I bring interesting news?" She asked.
What news? Asked Xander
"What if I tell you I found a better way for you to claim the throne and gain more power?" questioned Annette.
"Get to the point already" he said.
Annette, who was standing, walked past Xander and went to take a seat opposite him.
"How about mating with a banshee? I mean the very queen of the wailing fairies?" Annette said.
What queen?
"Everyone knows the wailing fairies are without a queen. You killed her, remember?" Xander spouts.
"I did, but sadly her child managed to escape and has now returned, still unaware about her Origin I assume.
So? Xander asked impatiently, he was obviously not in the mood for Annette's cunningness.
"I suggest you make her your mate and you know the perks that come with mating with a banshee". Annette chuckled.
"And what happens to my true mate, when I find her?" Xander questioned.
"Oh please drop the act" Annette said.
You have to make sacrifices, if you really want the throne of the lycans, you already have your brother locked up somewhere, why would taking a false mate be of any problem to you? Annette said, Rolling her eyes.
"Besides you can dispose of her when you find your mate". She added.
