Xander Redent
I parked the car right beside the beach and I got out first from the car. I walked towards her side and opened the door for her. She got out and I held her hand walking towards the beach. We sat on the beach looking at the sea and Athena is still not saying anything.
I looked around me to find something that could cheer her up. I found an ice truck but I don't think it can cheer her up. I got up from the ground and started to walk towards the side.
I saw what I like and walked back towards Athena. I took her hand and pulled her towards the pier.
"Are you hungry?" I asked and she shook her head.
"Okay." I said and I pulled her towards the edge of the pier to see the beautiful view but still she's not interested. I wanna make her happy so bad. I looked around and found one thing that she will enjoy.
"Athena." I called and she turned to me.
"What?"
"Let's go on a zip line." I said and she looked at me confused. I pulled her towards the zip line and bought 2 tickets for us. She went up with no expression and I know she's not afraid of this kind of thing so I doubt that she will hate it.
The staff put the safety gears on and I saw Athena looking at me. I raised my eyebrows and then she shook her head. We both got ready on a different line and I turned to her.
"Let's race.. If you win, you can decide what's for dinner and if I win, we will eat on my house." I said and Athena crunched her eyebrows together.
"Whatever you say, Redent." She said and yes she's still wearing a mask so people won't recognize her. I smiled and then we got ready. The staff started to countdown and when he said start.. We both let go of our hands and rode the zip line. It was fun and it's not important who's winning this but I want to see a smile back on her face.
Athena opened her arms completely enjoying it and guess who wins? Me! I think it's because my weight is heavier than her.
I smirked and she saw it. She rolled her eyes and then the staff helped us to get out from the safety gear. We walked away and I put my arm around her shoulder.
"I win.. so you have to come to my place." I said and she shook her head.
"Are you feeling better?" I asked and she shook her head again. I decided to walk first to get her ice cream but I felt something fell on my shoulder. I looked turned to my shoulder slowly and looked at the bird poop in horror.
"What the!" I looked up and saw all the birds flying over me and I heard a laugh coming from the back. I turned and saw Athena laughing. I can't help but smile hearing her laugh.
"It means you are so unlucky, Redent." She said, still giggling. She walked first leaving me alone and I took off my blazer and wrapped it into a ball.
"Well.. you laugh so.. I did it!" I said cheerfully and she looked at me flatly.
"The bird did it.. not you."
"Okay then." I pouted but I don't really care. As long as she's happy, I'm okay with it.
"Let's go, I'm hungry." She said and I nodded. We walked back to her car and got inside. She put her seatbelt on and I put mine.
"Thanks.. even though it's only for a few minutes." She said and I smiled hearing it. I started the car and start driving towards my house in Brighton.
"So.. is it mean that I can get my wish?"
"What is it?" She asked.
"I just want you to spend a day with me doing whatever you want that can cheer you up." I said.
"Wow.. never thought that you will ask for it."
"What do you think I would ask?" I asked her.
"I don't know.. a kiss.. or maybe things like that." I turned to her laughing.
"I never thought you will this naughty, Athena. If you want a kiss, all you need is ask." I teased her and she looked at me disbelief.
"You're annoying Xander." She hissed and I just smile like an idiot. I mean I never even imagine that she's here with me in a car in Brighton. I never thought that I can spend time with her like this because when she was going to marry Jacob, I thought my whole world will be over.
But I'm so glad that the both of them didn't get married. I'm so happy and grateful for it. Athena.. now it's my turn to prove that I'm good enough to be with you.
"So what.. do you want to eat for d-" I turned to her but she's asleep. I smiled seeing her sleep, she slept on the train and then she slept again now.. I guess she's so tired.
When we arrived at my house, I got out first and tell my maids to open all the doors towards my room so I can easily carry Athena. I opened the door at Athena's side and slowly carried her bridal style. I walked slowly towards my room completely afraid to wake her up.
I put her on my bed and took off her shoes. I put my blanket on her and turned on the air condition on. I turned off the lights and I laid on the other side just looking at her. I'm completely admiring her like crazy because how can someone be this beautiful when they're sleeping.
"You are mine, Athena. I'm going to prove that.. I promise." I said in a small tone and I kissed her forehead. Not long after that.. I fell asleep too.
