Athena Lemiere
"So how was your day, honey?" Jacob asked as he cut his steak.
"So busy, there's a lot of things that I need to take care before I go to London." I said as I took a piece of meat with my fork.
"How about you?" I asked as I munched my meat.
"Well it has been busy, I need to go back to London tonight. Are you sure you don't want to go with me?" I shook my head right away.
"I'm sorry, I can't. I have to take care of the invitation first. I will see you in 3 days." I smiled at him and he nodded.
"It's okay, beautiful. So how was the lawsuit going on?" Oh why do you have to talk about Xander in this situation? Why?
"I gave him the lawsuit but he still hasn't responded to it, instead he wants to buy the land." I said a little bit pissed.
"So you will give the land?"
"I need to discuss it to my dad first and besides I don't think he will give it to him." I said and Jacob looked at me raising his eyebrows.
"I know this sounds so rude but can you tell me why Lemiere and Redent suddenly have this weird cold fight when they used to be friends and partners?" It's not the first time he asked about it but this time, he's quite curious.
"Redent wanted to unite with us so badly, they wanted to kinda arrange us with his children." I said and Jacob's expression changed.
"So they were going to arrange you with Xander?" He asked.
"Yes but my dad cut the relationship before it happens." I lied because I don't want him to hate Xander too. Jacob nodded.
"Before I forgot, I want to remind you that you need to try the wedding dress around next week. My mom called me earlier this morning to remind you."
"Don't worry, I got it on my note." I smiled at him and he gestured to me to put my hand on his. I put my hand on his and he held it tightly.
"I love you so much and I can't wait to be with you forever."
"Me too."
"We will rule the country together and you will make a great queen."
"I mean.. I'm nervous. I hope they will like me." I said and he chuckled.
"Athena, they love you already. Since our engagement news came out, everyone loves you and they can't wait to know you even more."
"I'm glad to hear that." I said and he nodded. We continued to eat and talked about politics that's happening and about the concern of the people in the UK. Suddenly Jacob's phone rang and he showed the screen to me, it's William Cesantio a.k.a his cousin. William is the son of Daniel Cesantio and Olivia Camery.
"Hello." Jacob answered.
"I'm with Athena now having dinner. Yeah.. I'm going to London tonight, you can. See you at the airport around 9." He ended the call and I looked at him with questioning eyes.
"He wants to go to London and I think my aunt told him that I'm going to London tonight so.. he's coming with me." I chuckled because William is a one free kid. He might have a bit of royal blood but in his heart.. he's just a true American.
"I don't even want to know what is he going to do in London." Jacob said and I shook my head.
"He always cause trouble." I said because William does, even sometimes I have to take care of him.
"Ever since, he broke up with that girl.. what was her name?" Jacob looked up to the ceiling trying to remember William's ex girlfriend's name.
"It's Jenn with double N." I said and Jacob nodded as he pointed his finger at me agreeing that I'm right.
"Trust me.. he will move on." I said and Jacob looked at me narrowing his eyes.
"Don't underestimate guys, babe. We can't move on that quickly, especially when we already fell in love." He said in a dramatic way and I laughed. Jacob has this funny and hilarious side that always keeps me entertained. He might be the future King of England but can be a stand up comedian as his part time job. He's good at being dramatic.
"A guy like William doesn't even know that a 'Love' word exists."
"Oh he does.." I pulled my hand away from him and started eating again.
"So.. I will go to London in 3 days and then I will stay there for around 2 weeks. I will try on the wedding dress next week and.. I think that's it." I tried to memorize my schedule in London.
"You forgot something.." He said and I raised my eyebrows.
"Huh?"
"You need to spend time with me, babe."
"Jacob, that's a must. I was talking about the wedding related things.. silly." I said and he chuckled. He got up from his seat and he walked to me. He leaned down his body and kissed my lips. I slipped my hand to the side of his face to deepen the kiss.
It will be a lie if I say.. that I don't like Jacob. He's a really sweet guy that every girl has ever dreamt of. I like him a lot and we dated for 2 years. He was my first boyfriend and now I'm going to marry him. I really like him but something about him that.. doesn't give me that burn. I've been with Jacob for 3 years and started dating 2 years ago but he never gave me that burning and excited feeling.
When it comes to Xander, all I need is one look from him and I can feel the burn and the excited feeling all over my body. But now.. I can't talk about Xander or even be with him because I'm marrying Jacob. I love him.. I like him and I think that burning feeling and the excitement feeling will grow after I'm marrying Jacob.
"I love you, Athena. I love you so much that I can't even describe it with words." Jacob said as he looked straight into my eyes. I gave him a peck on his lips.
"Love you too."
