"Do you think he would do it?"Allen asked Flora.
"After all that money?"Flora replied.
Flora and Allen lay beside each other in his room both pondering on what Spencer's decision would be. They hoped he didn't plan on returning the money. But Flora strongly believed after all those threat Spencer would definitely give in. And she has also fone her part trying to convince Allen's mum about Marcus going over to Spencer's place. Flora prayed her hard work didn't go in vain. She wasn't just doing this because she was naturally a good person or Allen was a good person. No. She did this after carefully making up a decision that night with Yvonne. Although she has tried having second thoughts on staying with Yvonne, but Allen's shaft was a mind changer. She wanted more and and more of it often.
She looked over at Allen's side. He has never been these weak and tensed. She knew he was wrong in all kind of ways sleeping with his brother's wife, but not all wrong people get punished for their sins. If you had a good lawyer. You would go scott free and she was here to boldly help him.
"STELLA!"A loud banging sound from the sitting room was heard and it definitely sounded like Marcus voice..Allen and Flora jumped on the bed as they dash out to the living room. They could see Bella coming out too. Obviously Marcus shout woke her up too. Stella joined in with a confused look as everyone comes out to see why Marcus was shouting.
Marcus charge at Stella and grabs her arm tight as Stella scream in pain and discomfort. "I am going to ask you for the last time! Are you cheating on me!"
The silence in the house was understandable. Everyone were shook by Marcus tone of voice and at the same time waiting for an answer from Stella herself. Stella couldn't believe Marcus anger had gone this far. She couldn't believe any of this was going to escalate to this point. All she wanted was a couple settlement. But Marcus was overboard. She got confused. Now all he wanted was to know if she was cheating and who she was cheating with, and also the father of the baby in her.
"No. I'm not" she answered. She really wanted to make peace with Marcus. He had no evidence,if she owned up to her mistake, there was high chance of them separating. And he had earlier threatened her about a divorce, she would be at loss and would not be able to handle what honest of it.
Marcus hated that Stella lied to his face again. How could she just keep lying over and over again. He didn't like every bit of what comes out of her mouth. How could she find it so hard saying the truth.
"How could you lie? Since you've decided on making me look like a fool. I'm going to do the same to you!" Marcus rushed out and when he came in, he was dragging Spencer into the living room. Stella's leg wobbled as she saw Spencer.Did Marcus just stop suspecting her and Allen and find out about Spencer instead? What was going on. How the hell did Spencer suddenly come into the picture. When did Marcus discovered she had actually had something with him. Why is all her secrets out now!
"I would ask one more time Stella- Have you ever cheated on me?" his rage was nothing to lie about again. Stella nod at his question and he only grew more frustrated.
"So you've been sleeping with him!"
"It's been long Marcus. This was long time ago. I've had nothing to do with him in a long time. Spencer tell him the truth"Stella was on her knees this time, in tears. She didn't understand how Spencer was in trouble instead of Allen. She had discarded him, why was her past hunting her now.
"Oh. So you have really been sleeping with him and now you tell me it's been long you guys had something? So have you been sleeping with someone else! Who owns that baby Stella!"
"It's you, I promise,you own the baby. I would never do that to you Marcus, please believe me"she cried
Allen suddenly starts to feel pity. Although Stella didn't tell him who owns the baby yet but he felt horrible leaving her out of this. Especially blaming her for whatever happened between them. Well, literally.
Marcus turned to Spencer and urged him to say all he has said to him at the club this morning. Spencer didn't know if hurting Stella was the right option, but he had gone too far with the deal. He had always done all he did in his life for a payback. It was business, he didn't think she should be upset about anything.
"I've been sleeping with Stella for a very long time now. I get paid for satisfying her and recently she told me she was pregnant"
"She has been doing it for long. I'm not surprised"Bella interrupted.
"I..told you?.."Stella stood up from her knees as she approached Spencer. "I..told you I was pregnant for you? Why would you do this to me Spencer! Why are you lying to my husband?" she get a hold of his clothes charging at his neck. Marcus moves to her and push her away from him
"You should be ashamed of dealing with little boys like this!"Marcus shouted. "It's not too late to tell you I'm fed up Stella. Because I really am. I thought you would be patient with me. Thought when you told me you're not satisfied on bed, you would wait till I improved. After all we started together"
"I am not pregnant for Spencer, Marcus! It's true that I've been sleeping with him, but that was a long time. I discarded him telling him, I'm not ready to hurt you. I would never think of hurting you Marcus"
"You've done enough Stella. Thank you. anyone objections to Stella and I divorce?"Marcus asked the entire house. Allen and Flora looked at themselves at these questions. Allen would not be able to answer that because Stella might make a scene about them too. He is even wondering why she has not said something about them. Was she saving him?. No, he knew Stella well, she would only do anything that benefits her. If she was not saying anything to Marcus about them, then it means she has something fishy going on with her.
Bella also didn't know if she would support her son on this one, she was a victim of cheat and she promised never to allow that again. She had deliberately waited this long in the house to make sure Marcus found out what she saw at that club that night. And now that he did, she wants to fully support him with his decision. But she didn't want to be that kind of mother. Coming from nowhere to ruin her son's marriage.
"Mother please!"Stella ran to Bella where she sat. "Please talk to Marcus about this. Marcus, please, we can sort this out!"
"Marcus"Allen's voice was deeming enough to gain attention. "Don't involve us in this. You and Stella should please sort it out like the couple you are"
Stella gulped her spit at Allen's words. She would have been mad if he hadn't said anything at the end of the day. Marcus as stopped supporting both of them, the best he could do was have her back in this situation with Spencer.
"Don't...say a word Allen"Marcus shun him. Although Allen never had something to do with his wife, but it doesn't change a thing about Stella's cheating.
"I would say what I should say Marcus. We understand that you're very angry. But you should not involve us in all this. You both love each other, take some time to talk about it. We would not help you make your decision. It's either you listen to your wife's apology or not!" he said. He walked out before Marcus could say a word. He hoped he had not said too much to him and he also hoped this does not provoke any suspicion.
Flora ran after Allen and Bella stood to her feet too as she head to her room. Spencer looked devastated. He didn't understand the drama. How Allen and Flora begged him to lie because Stella said so. How Stella looked so down when she heard him own the baby. No, her husband wants a divorce. Why did she pay him to lie then. Did she really want the divorce from him?
Marcus wiped his sweat off his forehead as his eyes met his wife's. Was he just making too much scene? Was he being extra in scolding her to this extent. Should it have been very personal between them truly?. No! he didn't think so. No man would be as hurt as him and still take the situation lightly.
