TAKEN forty- two
"I love how you make me feel" she held him tightly not allowing him to leave the room. He wanted to push her away, but he was being careful, he didn't want to hurt her too. He cried for help inside of him but he didn't receive any answer. Who would save him from this drama. Yes. he caught feelings on the way, but he can't do this anymore. He was tired. This wasn't right. Now the feelings is long gone. He couldn't do this to his brother, not Flora too.
Luckily, Marcus had left the house early this morning. Stella uses the opportunity to see Allen about what was on ground. She needed him to know that the baby was his. His expression would determine if he would accept it or not. If Marcus was back, she would do the same. Someone must accept the baby. Presently, she didn't care who it was gonna be. As far they go through it together.
"You're taken!" he bellowed at her. His sudden outburst made her stiff at first, but when his countenance became softer, she relaxed. She looked at her hand and pulled out the ring on her fourth finger. She pointed it at him and her voice broke.
"I don't want this anymore, I..would sacrifice this for us!"
"NO!" his rage filled the room, this time fear gripped her, she felt weak and nervous. He wasn't listening. She wanted him so bad, and presently she didn't care how any other person feels about the situation. She could tell from his expression that he was frustrated. She has made him go through a lot for the past few months, was this payback. As much as she felt like threatening him. She has caught too much fear to do so. Moreover, he had the upper hand now due to her condition. She felt she was losing. Marcus was doubting her, he was doubting if he put her in this condition. He had always wanted a baby, and now that one was coming, he wasn't sure it was his. She needed to take action. If Marcus was not going to believe her. She needed Allen to be on her side. She couldn't lose both ways. Not at all.
"I would never do this to him!" his voice broke too, he had betrayed him, more was expected from him. Why did things go sideways. He wanted to leave the house. Leave all this behind. But guilt gripped him. He stared at her eyes and his heart skipped, he didn't know what he was doing wrong, leaving or staying. He hated that he was one of the main reason this conversation was happening between them. He was at fault and so was she. They both had to figure it out. But he wouldn't take the blame for her condition. He was certain he didn't go that far.
"No one has to know" she whimpered holding his hands tight.
It was her usual rhyme. From the first time 'they' started till now. He couldn't believe she could utter those words again. Although with much concern and fear, the words hit him and he blamed himself for being in this gullible situation. There were so many reasons why no one had to know and all were negatives.
He didn't know if he was able to take this risk or not. She looked ready to bare all this. But he couldn't believe someone could go this far for him. He loosen her grip on his hand, took her wedding band and placed it back in her fingers.
"I'm not responsible for this Stella. Just settle things with Marcus. I'm sure he is...you told me you guys had sex -he wanted a baby -he might have done it."he stammered. Stella took a deep breath as she stared at Allen. To figure out who the father of her baby was has been the hardest thing she has been going through, since the day Marcus confronted her about the baby, she has not been in her right sense. She had tried thinking of who and when. But she was blank. And she didn't want to lose both brothers. She had to play smart. What if she ended up pushing the baby to Marcus and it was Allen's. He would kill her when he finds out. And what if she gives Allen, Marcus baby. Everyone would find out they've been sleeping together. This was one thing she didn't want Marcus to know about. Although he already has a eighty percent doubt. But she was certain the twenty percent would go a long way in convincing him otherwise.
She puts her ring back in her hands.What if she was making a mistake by trying to choose Allen instead. He really has nothing to offer. Marcus was her husband, she knows all that it is about him. She could lure her way into his head. He had no other woman aside him. She could still get the better of him and save her marriage. She really needed to. She couldn't face any more embarrassment and go to level one.

That was her only solution presently. Aside Allen's sex, presently he seemed useless to her. She walked out of his room and met Flora at the door step. She hissed and brush her shoulders against her. After all, that was the girl that made Allen come back to his senses.
Flora entered Allen's room and moved to where he was. The tension in his eyes was killing, it was complicated. He had failed his brother! She doubted how they were going to get through this. Marcus was angry in the house. Everyone can feel it. It would be a blood sentence if his predictions were true.
"Let's leave the house"Flora offered. Allen look up at her. It didn't sound like a good idea to him. His brother would think he was running. All arrows would point him guilty. He wouldn't do that. Not at all.
"No.."he nod his head repeatedly. "I just have to prove that I wasn't involved in this. I know Stella. She's cunning. We have to play her game with her. She would do anything to destroy my image. I just have to prove that I don't own that baby. Flora please help me."
Flora wasn't sure how that idea would work. That was like removing Allen from the whole situation. She wasn't sure Stella would want that. They all had to be smart. With the anger Marcus was letting out in that house. They couldn't risk losing. Stella was smart, so was Marcus. They had to be too.
"I have an idea" Flora said. She walks round the room once. "Let's talk to mum about this"she said.
"What mum! Flora seriously. That wouldn't happen. Mum can't be involved in this. No. I don't like the idea"
"Wait. I really think it would work out. I heard Mum and Marcus talking about Stella cheating with a guy at a club. All we just need to do is get the name of the club and search for the guy. We can work something out, I'm sure Stella really had something to do with him"
"Stella cheated on Marcus?"Allen spat, he was starting to realize what his mum was driving at the day she told him to stay away from Stella. He honestly wished he hadn't gotten involved with this. He didn't want to disappoint his mum. She was going to be mad at him for allowing a reoccurring event to take place. He need to go with this idea. Of they could find the guy, he could scale through this. The worse they could do was push the blame on him. He wasn't wicked. He just didn't trust Stella's move. He gave a very huge deep sigh as his eyes met Flora.
"You're back?"He asked her. It would make him happy if Flora said she was choosing him over Yvonne. If that was the only happiness he needed presently, he would be happy to hear it.
"Let's settle this before we talk about me"Flora replied him.
