TAKEN fifty seven
Yvonne stared despondently at Flora. It was like a wasted effort like she thought. Her doubts were obviously cleared and she didn’t need a reason to be here anymore. But it hurts her that Flora wouldn’t be coming with her. She had read about sexual change in taste but never experienced. She knew Flora’s was bound to happen because of her previous relationship and because she was the one who took the first step. But she didn’t want it this fast. She was always concerned about her job, but she still wanted Flora to stay with her.
Flora was not happy she disappointed Yvonne when she had to fly down to pick her up, but she really wanted a life with Allen instead. She was more happy with him and wants to start a family in future. She had said sorry to Yvonne countless times. She knew sorry wasn’t going to change a thing, but that was what she could offer at the moment.
She had come to pick her remaining stuff from the house when she saw Yvonne waiting by the door, they had earlier fixed today as the date where Flora would make a decision if she was staying or not. And Yvonne tried her luck by coming to pick her girlfriend, but guess she had other plans of hers.
“I want you to understand that I didn’t choose Allen because of the gender. I chose him, because of the happiness he gives me, physically and emotionally and sexually. If any other person can give me that amount of happiness, I would surely stay”
“I-“
“-don’t get me wrong here. I was happy with you too. I loved you. You treated me with so much love I really do not know how to pay you back. But I’m sorry”
Yvonne gave a short smile as she gulped her spit and bit her tongue looking away.
“You don’t even look happy Flora!” she sounded rather angry
“I am. We’re just facing some issues at home right now. I would get over it. I promise. You don’t have to worry about me”
“That’s all I do everyday” she muttered under her breath. But Flora heard. She moved closer to her and pulled her into a hug as they remained like that for a long time. Tears roll from both of their eyes, as Flora never imagined that the boss she hated at first for the sake of Yvonne was the one separating them now.
Yvonne releases the hug when she sights Allen behind. “You even came with him?”
Flora turned to look at Allen with surprise look. “How did you know I was here” she asked him. She really didn’t come with him. She came alone.
“I saw your alarm this morning, it’s says Yvonne would be arriving today. I had to come check up on you” he said with dejected tone. What if Flora chose Yvonne finally. Or they get to talk and their feelings come back. And he saw them hugging too. Was he now at loss again?
Flora chuckled at his words. She could see how scared he was thinking she had gone already. “Yvonne came to say bye. It’s nothing serious” Flora said and gives Yvonne a kiss on the lips. “I’ll miss you” she said. “I’ll just get my stuff and be out” she told Allen as she goes inside her room.
Allen eyes met Yvonne’s and he smiled. “Oh fuck. I’m sorry” he apologized for smiling “I shouldn’t have-“ he muttered.
“Take care of her” Yvonne moves to him with a stern face. “Or I’ll be back to get her”
“Sure” Allen nod as he watched Yvonne walk out and entered the taxi she came in from. As she zoomed off, he joined Flora inside.

Marcus bought lots of things for his wife like they were newly married. He was really working hard on making the relationship as sweet as their early years and this time had promised himself that was going to be no mistake from anyone of them.
"You didn't have to do this" Stella said as she opened different box of gift from her husband. Who said she's not about to have a fun filled marriage? "You even got me a dress. That's so sweet" it really felt like the old days. When Marcus started to woo her, she was just one of the bad girls in school then and Marcus was one of the hottest catch. Even when she liked him before he asked her out, she still had to play hard to get. It was part of their girls rule. Their marriage was everything to talk about. Marcus was rich and is still rich. There was really nothing she lacked.
Marcus smiled at her happy gesture, he was happy this conversation was going on. He remembered the abortion party she threw, If he wasn't so angry that day, he would have really made a toast to new life like she did. Because that is what is definitely happening.
His phone suddenly rings beside Stella and she passes it to him, just before she did, she checked the caller. "Guess who?" she said as she turned the phone to her husband.
Marcus saw Jenifer calling and his mood changes. The fact that Stella knew they had something ruined it all. He dropped the phone on the bed without picking up.
"Why aren't you answering?" Stella asked him. He keeps quiet at first.
"There's really nothing between us anymore." he says. Stella nods continuously
"I know that Marcus. You don't have to explain to me. I trust you whole heartheardly" she smiles. "Now if you need to break up with her, do so now okay. Answer the phone" she said and shooed him out of the room.
Maybe because they were both guilty, but Marcus never knew Stella would be this nice.

Marcus answers the phone in anger. "Jenifer stop okay? Stop calling me. Just stop it!" he blurted. Jenifer was surprised at his first approach, but she understands what the situation meant and just kept cool.
"I called you for something else" she said her voice soft. At her office she wouldn't stop thinking about how badly her past relationships as affected her and how she fell too much for Marcus. Maybe relationship was not for her. She always got her self hurt always
"This is the last time I'll listen" Marcus told her.
"It's about Stella." Jenifer said and she went about on how Stella sent her a text on where they should meet that she wanted to talk to her. She told him about not being safe with that request, but Stella had insisted they talk it out instead.
"If Stella wants to talk to you, then it's just talk. It's about me." Marcus assured Jenifer. Or maybe he was just being fooled by Stella's new sincerity.
"I don't think so Marcus" Jenifer said in the phone.
"I don't want to know what happens between you two, but Stella and I are getting back together and I need space from you Jenifer. You were the same person who rumored about my wife and my brother"
"That part is still true Allen"
"Look at you." Allen was starting to get pissed. "Jennifer. I still like you as a friend and I don't want any rift between us. If you don't feel safe talking to her. Then don't go."
"Can I ask for a favor then" he heard Jenifer say. Maybe because they were on a call, but he didn't think he could talk to Jenifer if they were to have a face talk about this. But he needed to discard all distractions for his own good.
"I need you to be with your phone through out tomorrow. I'll see your wife and hear what she has to say, but if she makes any trouble. I'll call you immediately" she says.
Marcus pause for sometime, he didn't know why Stella wanted to see Jenifer but he didn't think it would be something dangerous. Maybe just jealous ladies talk. He hasn't done anything else with Jennifer than sleep with her and Stella didn't have a problem with it.
"Okay." he agreed and she whispered a thank you and immediately hang up. He gave a huge sight as to what he heard. Why do ladies do that. It's not just okay!.
He moved back to his room to his his wife trying out the dresses he bought for her and indeed, Stella was crazily sexy.
