"We are not friends!" she cautioned pointing one of her fingers at him to shun his remaining words. "And I'm a whole lot of things you don't know." she said.
He held her hand tight as she tried unlocking the door. She couldn't meet his eyes, so she struggled from his grip. He wasn't going soft on her either.
"I know this is about the kiss and I'm really sorry about yesterday. I'm sorry for getting too close that I almost took you for granted..."
"You're sorry you almost kissed me or your sorry you left me hanging?!"
"I..I.."
"Marcus. We cuddled few days ago. There was a connection. It was different. I've not had something like that in months. There's this feeling I get when our skin touch. I feel so embarrassed that you don't feel the same. I like you Marcus and don't ever say we are friends. Cause we are not. How dare you apologize about trying to kiss me, when all you should ask is how much I want it. I clearly see how much you love her and I'm just an idiot for trying to get close to you. Look at you both, you both look happy, and your sex life is doing great already. I get it now, I'm the asshole, trying to make you get back to your wife just increases my feelings for you. I'm done, with all the lectures and everything"
He wasn't expecting that kind of breakdown from her. He was trying to fight the attraction he got from her after the cuddle and the intense touch and hard on he had from her yesterday and now she was openly confessing how much she had tried to fight hers too. All he was-was speechless. He wasn't expecting her tears too. He saw too much hurt on her face , words and eyes. He didn't know how to console her. Whether he was to loosen his grip or tighten it. But he needed to give a response.
"I feel the same" he responded softly but Jenifer didn't find it genuine. She sucked her tongue on her teeth"Yes you do" she laughed sarcastically. She unlock the door and walk out on him slamming it to his face.
Marcus stood stiff as her response didn't go well with him.

Flora tiptoed slowly behind Allen, careful her heels didn't make any sound, she walked. She could see him squinch sometimes as he felt someone was behind him. He suddenly stopped and turned back at her. She shock and held her next step staying steady and staring at him, caught red handed.
"Do you want to talk to me"He rolled his eyes and funnily put his hands akimbo.
" Erhm.."she rolled her tongue and rub her palm nervously. He stared at her waiting for her to say something. He didn't know why she was finding it hard to talk. But she for sure had something to say. She had put on enough drama already.
"I'm sorry" she let out. Flora realised she was just being an ass passing her aggression on her boss. Yvonne was totally cool with it and infact is already leaving the company. She was left here with him and wouldn't be nice to keep conflict with him. Yes after their huge fight she was very angry. She was furious he shouted at her that way and was hurt inside, but he was her boss and if she was gonna continue this way she would be at great loss. She was delighted Allen didn't laugh or frown when she apologized. He didn't make her feel very bad for apologizing after the heated tension between them.
"Cool" Allen said to her and turned back to go.
"Wait" she stopped him and ran in front of him. "Cool does not sound real. I'm really sorry for the way i talked to you the other day and I want to hear a pure response from you Allen."she said.
He chuckle slightly at the way she called him and smiled. " Feels good to hear you apologize "he said and she squint her eyes and squeeze her nose as they both laugh.
" I..would only forgive you because I have a favor to repay "he said. She nod continuously as she remembered she clearly told him that night that he needed to repay the favor of driving him home.
" Its fine"she smiled. She waved him a bye and turned to go.
"You hungry?" he asked her.
"Starving" Flora grunts hungrily like she was expecting him to give that offer. He ushered her to his own car this time around and drove to the nearest restaurant on their way home. They kept each other company by saying random things and laughing at each other sarcasm. They played with words and left all their differences aside.
When she asked him to stop at her front door, she gave a huge sigh.
"What's wrong?" he asked at her sudden change of mood
"Yvonne left today. I'm probably going to cry through out the night. Gosh I feel so lonely already. Thanks for tonight boss. I'm grateful"
"I could sleep over you know, even give you a massage when you wake up at night."
"I would make you coffee in the morning so we would both be late to work"
The satire in their words was very obvious and they both laugh hysterically to their jokes. They ended their laugh at the same time and she removed her seat belt. "Thanks again" she opened the car door, got down and closed the door.
He looked at her from the mirror and smiled at her. Her other part was very nice, he wondered why she didn't show that side of her from the beginning. She turned over to his own side of the car.
"Am I supposed to watch you leave or vice versa" she asked him.
"Its like a norm to watch you girls go into your house, but its okay to break the rules right?" he laughed
"I like that" she snorted and hit his car with her palm. "Tata boy, hurry up now" she said and Allen click a wink and drove off. She laughed watching him turn to another street and she entered her own house and kicked the door.
Allen reversed confirming her stay and gave a soft partly suppressed laugh.
