TAKEN eighteen
Jenifer wasn't welcomed with a very happy or normal face like the one Marcus use to put on. Instead, it was very obvious how sad and dejected he was.
She offered him a seat in her office and drags another chair to sit beside him. He didn't sound too nice on the phone and didn't look too nice either. She was certain it had something to do with his wife since that was the main topic and why he even met her, a fitness instructor. She offered him a glass of water and he gulped down in a rush as he arch a brow of anger too.
"I love my wife"he angrily burst out. Why was he so angered loving his wife. What was so annoying about his love for her, he couldn't figure it out on time.
"I know you do"Jenifer softly said holding his hands. "Let it out Marcus"she rubbed her hand on his back, giving him space to let out what he was feeling.
"I don't want us to grow apart. I want her back. Like when we first got married. I need her to like me again."he broke down
Jenifer heart skipped a bit to see an emotional Marcus and she cursed his wife for making him feel like this. Just like Jane said, Marcus was a beautiful soul. If Jane hadn't complimented him that day, she might also not realise it on time and immediately she did, she knew she wanted this man. For herself. Now he says he loves his wife, the one who body shamed him, the one depriving him of his sex responsibility, how could he still love her this way.
Jenifer had kept reminiscing last night with Marcus, the way they laughed so drunk and cuddled was one thing she hasn't felt in years. She loved his warmth, his touch and she didn't care about the body weight his wife talked about. She really loved what she was seeing and she hoped he was aware of that.
"I can help you"out of the love in her heart, she weakly said. She couldn't see Marcus like this, neither did she want him to seek help somewhere else. She wanted him around. She wanted him to stick with her. That way, even if she couldn't get him, she would be his friend.
Marcus seemed a bit overwhelmed at Jenifer's offer to help. He least expected it from her ,cause all he wanted was just a shoulder to lean on emotionally. He was suddenly comfortable with Jenifer's friendship even if it's just been few days. It was so nice to have someone who gets him. She has never looked down on him or insulted his body during the short time they've met. And he's so grateful for her help.
"We could work things out and she would fall back for you"she said again
He squeezed her hands tightly. "I'm in."
She smiled and then laughed at his desperate expression
"Well, we're not going to go on if you don't put on a smile"
He took him some seconds before his lips curved into a smile and they both laughed at his short delay. "You made a new hair?"he finally noticed her new hairstyle with a little weave at the side, packed in a ponytail with a clip at the other side.
"Well, that's sweet of you to notice"she flushed at his comment and stood to her feet as she moved to press his shoulders. Another star to the previous she gave him, for noticing her hair, he was such a darling.
"Now let's go on a lecture on how to be a more sweeter man"she chuckled at her choice of words and he smiled too.

Allen's infuriation didn't subsidise as his rage improved his driving skills. He had left work a bit earlier than usual today. It's been so long he felt this kind of incandescence and he was mad at himself for not able to control it. He was meant to over look Flora's childishness, but he didn't. He was too angry that she didn't understand the difference between business and rendering help. He sort of felt bad he shouted at her too. But she should be matured enough to understand she stepped on the wrong toe.
He roughly drove into the compound and stayed longer in the car.
Stella was surprised she didn't meet Marcus home when she came back from Rose's place. But it was all good, she had the time to try out all the new dresses she got from the mall. And she was wearing one right now. She was gonna go with the 'Lure him'Rose plan. She needed a baby to be born. Aside her huge profits, it's also a marriage blessing. This would hold Marcus down incase he started losing interest in her too like she is in him.
Seeing Allen come out of the car she wore a confused look, he was home alone. Again. Without Marcus. Has Marcus started drinking? Going to bars to spend his time? He doesn't call if he's not coming home on time nor give account of where he had been when he's back. What was wrong?.
She had to stop Allen by the door who wasn't ready to have any conversation with her as he was dashing inside the house. She held his chest back and comes in front of him. He had a no smiling mood and she was wondering what was up with him.
"Have you seen Marcus?"she asked him instead.
He didn't have to reply. His glare did it all. He really wasn't in for any conversation with anyone.
"Allen are you okay?"she asked a bit concerned
"I'm fine"it sounded like he wasn't. He slightly pushed her as he entered the house. She ran after him and held his hands again.
"You didn't have a good day?"she asked again
"Stella, can we just skip this tonight?"
"No, we ain't skipping anything. You've not been like this before and Marcus is not home yet. And I'm too hot for a snub"
"I'm not snubbing you Stella, I am avoiding you. I had a bad day and I'm not in for Us"
"There wouldn't be Us if Marcus was home. Is he gonna be late? Is he gonna be home. I need to know"
"I'm not in the mood Stella"he raises his voice. "I can't touch or satisfy you now"
He walked out on her leaving her agape as he entered his room.
Stella stood there staring, Rose really got her in the mood and she has anticipated so much for a night with someone.
Why was she at lost this night. She moved outside and check for Marcus car, she didn't see any sign of it. She locked the door as she also dashed into Allen's room.
She could hear showers running in the bathroom and could see how frustrated he really was,for him to take a quick shower to calm his nerves down.
She gently close his door and turn the key of the knob. She carefully tiptoed to his bathroom and stood at the door slide for some seconds her mouth wide opened as she admired him. All clothes off in the shower. The water poured on his face with his eyes closed and he wouldn't have a hint if she was inside, so she stayed a bit longer. She pulled her slippers and entered the bathroom, she locked the shower button and when water stopped dripping, Allen opened his eyes.
He was not able to utter a word as Stella locked her lips with his.
She didn't like that he pushed her lips away from his, so she went on her knees using her mouth to suck his cap.
He surrendered.
