Sydney Marin Chapter 47

Queen Victoria fell on her knees when she finished reading it. It broke my heart too. How could Dorothy be cruel to her sister and kill her Daughter Sapphire? I should have not helped the Queen. Now no one could bring back her daughter and nothing’s going to change. It happened. Sapphire’s dead. Killed by Victoria’s sister. “I will never forgive her. I will kill her,” Victoria muttered under her breath. I never have seen her angry. Her anger is very reasonable. How can a mother bear this? This is a great loss. A betrayal. It’s like stabbing behind her back. Victoria loved her sister even though she didn’t return the love. This is what the Queen got back. Death of her own daughter by the hands of her sister. I didn’t realize Iam crying. Iam crying for her loss. I don’t know what to say. “Iam sorry,” that’s what I said silently. The Queen didn’t reply to anything. She got up furiously. I can see her anger and hurt look in her eyes. She tried to control her tears. A signal tear dropped, and she pushed the door open. “Are you coming with me?” She asked me without looking at me. I don’t know where we are going but I said ‘Yes’. Within a moment, we are in front of a class. Dorothy is taking the class to first year students. “Why did you kill my daughter, Dorothy?” She shouted from her throat. Her anger energy made all the electrical things, lights burst. The students all screamed, but Victoria didn’t bother about it. I feel like Iam seeing another face of her. “What?” Dorothy blinked, and her hands trembled within a minute. She tried to say something, but no words came out of her mouth. “You will die by my hands, Dorothy,” The Queen shouted. This time the lights in the whole corridor got burst. The whole corridor filled with darkness. I can hear the student’s muttering noises. “We shouldn’t talk about this here,” Dorothy muttered and glared at me. She looked at me with a mad look on her face. It’s like she knows I was behind this. “Then where should we talk? Where can we talk about your daughter who has got no royal blood in her? She’s everything like you,” Victoria purposefully said in front of the students. Everyone is already listening. “That’s a lie, aunt,” I heard Cassie’s voice but I can’t see her in darkness. “Aunt. Iam not your aunt. You got nothing to do with me. Stop using your fucking acting talent in front of me,” she said and I can feel Cassie is embarrassed in front of all students. “Stop talking, Victoria. Meet me outside of the Academy. I will talk with you,” Dorothy ordered, but her voice sounded like a request. “Why? Don’t you like this publicity?” Victoria refused to move from the class. All she needs is the answer right now. “Iam going to leave this room. Meet you outside,” Dorothy announced and opened another door in the classroom and went within a moment. Cassie followed her mother outside. “Iam calling Peter. This should end today,” Victoria told me. When I looked back, my friends were waiting for me. Noah, Jacen, and Amelia. “What happened, Sydney?” Noah asked. “I already told you about Victoria’s Dairy, guys. Dorothy killed the Queen’s daughter,” I told them angrily. “Take this key and come outside, Sydney. I need to find Peter,” Victoria told me, throwing Dorothy’s key. I caught it and told my friends to follow me. I don’t remember when we reached outside the Academy. But the tension becomes higher than before. “You don’t have any fucking proof? I didn’t kill Sapphire,” Dorothy started first. She spoke the lie like it’s true. “Yep. I believe in you. Then what’s the meaning of this?” Victoria told as I showed the key in front of everyone. “How did you... who broke into my room?” Dorothy shouted, defeated. “I did.” I heard a voice behind me. Noah. “Noah... how can you do this to me? I thought of you as my friend,” Cassie asked, looking at him. “I didn’t see you as a friend. You don’t deserve it. All you did was be terrible to others,” he said loud enough to be heard by everyone. “You are the reason. Why did you fall for a stupid boy’s trick and got me into a problem? Iam ashamed of you,” Dorothy showed her anger towards her daughter. “Stop it. You fucking killed our daughter and acting like it’s not an issue at all.” Peter’s loud voice made us all silent, and even Dorothy hesitated to talk back. “It’s not an issue. It’s been sixteen years. It’s all over. No matter how much you scream and shout, nothing’s going to change,” Dorothy spoke back, without any emotions. Of course, she won’t have. She’s back from hell. All she got is dark magic inside her, which consumed her. “Maybe what happens next won’t be an issue in the next sixteen years,” Peter said as he raised his sword and moved forward to kill her. Dorothy got no weapon to fight back. She used her dark magic to fight against him. Iam seeing it real. Her powerful black light blasted out from her palm. She seemed much stronger than I imagined. “Maybe the king has the sword but I have a gun.” I heard an evil voice in front of me. “It’s time to say goodbye to everyone, Sydney,” Cassie said, and pulled the trigger. Immediately, I dodged the bullet, landing on the ground. “Why are you attacking me? What do you want from me?” I shouted as I stood up from the ground unharmed. “Nothing. I want you dead and you will never get to know the reason,” she said, pointing the gun at me again. But someone behind grabbed both her arms. “Let me go,” she screamed as they tightened the grip. “You are going to kill my girlfriend. Can you?” Jacen told her as the gun slipped from her hands and Noah took it away. “What’s your last wish?” Noah asked Cassie, pointing the gun at her. “Why are you doing this? I was so nice to you,” she didn’t scream or shout. She asked as a request when it comes to Noah. “So what? You tried to kill Sydney many times and literally killed Leona. Why should I let you live?” Noah told with a smirk. “Everybody stop it,” I heard a new harsh loud voice, which made the ground tremble for a moment. The voice I didn’t hear for months. The voice is so familiar to me. The voice hides many things from me. The voice which made me stay in my house for many years. “Aunt Lydia,” I murmured under my breath. Everyone stopped their arguments, fights, literally everything. “I hide many things from you, Sydney. Please, no one has to kill anyone now. I want to confess the truth,” Lydia told breathlessly.
