(The Wedding Party)
CHERRY'S POV
"Come on, pick one already." Jeanne says to me, eyes focused on her phone, operating it.
"I don't know which one. They both look so pretty." I say, "Don't be ridiculous, Cherry, pick something or else you are going to be late. If you can't pick one, then you can make a difference and make your wedding a unique one, by putting on a bikini.” She scoffs.
"Now you are just being silly. Why would I do that?" I frown playfully, "You look beautiful." She tells me and I just scoff.
"You are going to do your makeup, hope you know that?" She asks me and I just nod a yes.
"Good, now that that's settled, let's pick a gown."
"Oh gosh, Jeanne, just help me do the picking." I say and I think she finally relents because she shows me one, putting it on my face.
"This one, looks like the one that would sweep the floor." She says her eyes beaming proudly, "Stop being playful and be serious for once, just choose one for me."
"Okay, I think this is the one. Let's go for the second one." She says pointing at the one that has being in my eyes since, and I smile, I really like the silver lined wedding dress.
"Yeah, I like that one too." I say and she claps excitedly.
"Nice, nice, let's get to makeup business, I'll call the makeup artist to come create a magic on your face, one that will make Jayson loose his senses." She says and I chuckle as I go and sit down.
Today is the day I get to answer Jayson's name, we've not even began anything yet, but I'm already tired.
Fuck! I need a sleep, I think and I don't even know when but I doze of on the comfy sofa.

JAYSON'S POV
"No, I'm not wearing that, it's too big, It'll pull of from my butt and embarrass me in public." I say, and Robin my best man just scoffs.
"Come on, wear it first before you complain, we've tested it before right and it fitted you perfectly fine."
"It's looking big today." I say, I don't know but my eyes can't deceive me or is it anxiousness.
"Really, Jeanne just called and told me that they are almost done, and here you are you are not even dressed up. Come on man."
"Okay, okay enough with the rants." I tell him, picking up the tux and putting it on.
Luckily it fits perfectly fine, and Robin arranges my collar and helps me brush my hair.
Wearing my gold wristwatch, I put on my shoes and arrange myself.
"I'm nervous." I say, to Robin and we stand at the mirror looking at ourselves.
"You don't have to be nervous okay, be your self okay, today's the day Cherry get to be yours finally, so don't let any thought get into your head and make you nervous. Man up, okay." He tells me and I just nod.
Fixing a white and green flower into my breast pocket, he pats my shoulders and smiles at me, and I get some courage.

I stand in front of the altar awaiting the love of my life.
Taking a deep breath, I look straight as a slow music starts playing and wedding bells start ringing, announcing her presence.
She walks in accompanied by Cherry who's holding her wedding gown.
She looks like an ethereal goddess, breathtaking and so gorgeous, I still can't believe that she's going to be mine.
Her wedding veil covering her face, I know she must look so happy and beautiful underneath.
Finally, she comes and stands at my side, and the next chapter of my life begins as the priest starts reciting the vows.....

"Mr Jayson Harris, do you take Miss Cherry to be your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, in truth and lies......." He finishes and I say a quick "Yes, I do."
Looking at Cherry he says, "Miss Cherry Collins, do you take Mr Jayson Harris as your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, in truth and lies....... Till death do you part." He finishes and she says a silent yes.
Robin comes forward with the wedding rings and I carefully take out her engagement ring and place the wedding ring, as she does the same to me.
After successfully exchanging wedding rings, the priest announces, "With the power of God, vested in me, I proclaim you Husband and Wife. You may now kiss the bride."
The moment I've being waiting for, I think as I lift the veil and stare at her beautiful face.
Although she is heavily made up, with eye lashes and mascara, the makeup artist did a good job of not putting any colored lipstick on her lips, allowing me kiss her, without having to stress myself, and I make a mental thought to pay her handsomely later.
Taking her lips in mine, as she smiled, I kiss her slowly and passionately, amidst shouts and cahoots from the audience.
I'm now a married man, married to the love of my life.
Love is a sweet thing, I think to myself as I continue kissing her not wanting the moment to end.......
CHERRY'S POV
"Congratulations babe." Jeanne tells me, her face beaming with smiles.
"Thank you so much Jeanne, I'll be forever indebted to you." I say and I mean it because it's actually true, without her I wouldn't be here today walking down the aisle to Jayson, she made this all possible.
"You are the best sister, friend and lifeline, one can ever ask for." I say emotionally and she laughs and hugs me while replying, "Aww, but you forgot to add business partner too." "Yeah and that too." I say and we both chuckle.
Releasing her from my embrace, I watch as Robin comes to her side and hugs her while calling her baby and I just clear my throat acting oblivious to whatever they are doing and they both turn to look at me.
"What?" I ask and Robin just smiles and says, "Congratulations Cherry, thanks for stealing handsome Jayson's heart, and for real with this kind of beauty and love radiating all over you both, I'm sure you guys are going to make pretty babies and a happy home."
"Thanks, thanks so much." I say and he nods and taking Jeaane's hands together tightly, they walk together away to the dance floor, but not before I see Jeanne's flushed face and blushing cheeks.
'What's going on between this two?' I ask myself.
Looking around I spot a familiar face, and another strange one, it's Tamara and a guy I've not seen before.
"Congratulations ma'am." She says and I wave her off as I take her in my arms.
"Enough of the ma'am stuff, you can just call me Cherry, we are way past that." I say and she smiles.
"Well how are you, how's your baby and who's this handsome young man here." I ask her and she blush profusely.
"Well, I miscarried, my baby didn't make it." She begins, "Oh, oh, Tamara, I'm so sorry about that." I say and she just sniffs and continues, "Well, kind of relieved and at the same time it hurts but I thank God for my life. This here is my boyfriend turned fiancee some hours ago, his name is Martin."
She waves her finger and that's when I see the shiny beautiful engagement ring on her finger, "Wow, Tamara I'm so happy for you." I say and envelope her in a hug and she melts on my embrace.
"Take good care of Tamara okay." I say to Martin and they take their leave while he responds by giving me a mockery salute.
Everything and everyone is doing fine, I think as I sip my champagne and greet my guests at the reception.
I mean look at I and Jayson, Tamara and Martin, and Robin and Jeanne, even though she has not yet told me if they are an item, I know something is definitely going on between the both of them.
"Look who's here, my grown up baby." I hear someone squeal from my back and I turn to face Jayson's mom Mrs Harris, spreading her arms as I hug her.
"I always knew you were going to get married to my son, and on our impromptu leave back then, we are so sorry."
"Thanks mom, it's all in the past now." I say and she smiles, we continue talking about everything related to business, family and fashion and some minutes later Jayson comes to meet us standing by my side and I side hug him, even though my large dress serves as a barrier we still connect.
"Easy, easy love." He says smiling at me and caressing my arms softly, "Easy what, I've missed you, I can't wait for all this too be over, I need to be with you alone."
"Yeah right." He says giving me a sexy look and taking my lips in his.
"Awwn, you both have successfully excluded me now, I feel like a third wheel, I'll just excuse you two love birds and go and get something to eat, I'm famished." Mrs Harris say, and pecking me on my forehead, she takes her leave.

JAYSON'S POV
I turn and twist the love of my life in my arms as we dance to Ed Sheeran's perfect as it blast slowly from the speakers.
This is our first dance as husband and wife, and I whisper into her ears, kissing her neck in the process and she shivers.
God! I can't wait to get her alone, I'm going to show my love to her physically and in every other way.
"Let's go to somewhere more private." I say, "Where?" She asks me and honestly I don't know but I reply, "I don't know, I don't know, let's just go somewhere away from this noise, from this people who don't want to go home so I can have you all to myself, who knows we might not even come back again." I say and she chuckles.
"Okay. Your wish is my command, sir."
Leading her inside the mansion, I take her to the balcony, and turn her towards the sky, hugging her from behind as we watch the shining stars together.
"How many babies are we talking about here, wifey?" I ask her.
"What! We have not even settled in yet, and you are already talking about babies." She scoffs.
"That's because I can't wait to have little girls that will look like you and have my undivided attention, and strong soldiers who will take care of you, anytime I'm not around."
"Oh, how sweet." She scoffs and I turn her to face me as I look into her eyes, passionately kissing her lips.
"Thank you for forgiving me Cher', you've made me the happiest man alive, having you with me, to go on with life, is more than any gift I have ever received in life. You are the light of my life, you've brought hope to my soul. The way light switches on and off constantly, no matter the fights, temptations and all other things, because I know it's not always going to be rosy, my heart will always switch back to you. I love you Cherry Collins Harris." I say and I see her cheeks colorfully turn red as I hug her softly.
"I love you too, Jayson Harris, my world." She says and turning towards the stars, I rest my head on her shoulder as we stare towards the sky.
