CHERRY'S POV
I come outside and find Mark my driver, sitting by the door. "Hey Mark." I greet with a weak smile and he springs to his feet immediately.
"Good afternoon ma'am, are you going out? He asks while also greeting me, "Yes I am...but don't bother yourself, I won't be taking the car. Just rest." I say briefly, placing my palm on my forehead and rubbing it softly.
"Okay ma'am, thank you and take care." He says, with a slight bow, "And you too." I reply walking away.
I get to the main street and start walking along the road, fixing my air pods and listen to some cool music on my iPad.
I misplaced my phone earlier and I think it was yesterday at the restaurant, well I'm not ready to go back for it now.
I have many spare phones, and thank God the one missing is not my main business cell line.
Reaching the mall, I decide to eat something cause I'm starving, so I walk to a nearby restaurant, take a close seat at the edge of the restaurant windows which are transparent and overlook the city.
Shortly a waiter comes, "Good day ma'am, what can I get you." He asks me, "Um yeah, get me some french fries, ketchup alongside a strawberry juice or smoothie, to wash it down smoothly." I say smiling and the waiter jots down my orders in his notepad, smiles and leaves.
My stomach rumbles, and I sigh, God! I'm so hungry. I think to myself.
The waiter comes with my orders so fast, and he arranges them neatly on the table.
He gives a slight bow, nods and moves to leave, but I call him back, hands him a very nice tip, and after thanking me profusely he leaves.
I start eating, and in no time showing the extent to which I'm famished, I finish my french fries and ketchup.
Relaxing, I bring out my iPad changing the playlist, currently blaring in my ears, and picking up my drink, I start sipping it.
A lady comes to my table and forcefully bangs at my table, but I don't move an inch, as I think it is a mistake, and I keep pressing my iPad.
"Hey, cute rat." She smirks while facing me, arms akimbo, standing tall, 'Wait, what did she just call me? Is she even speaking to me?' I mutter to myself, while looking up at this mysterious lady, who has come to destroy my peace.
I maintain a straight face, still acting oblivious, sipping from my juice, not wanting to attract any unwanted attention and keep the trouble maker mum.
I calmly tamp down my anger, because if I should retaliate without thinking, this restaurant would be forced to throw us out, and considering my public image, I definitely wouldn't want that.
"I am talking to you, madam." She says again and I finally say something.
"And who are you by the way." I say looking at her, "Shut up you bitch, you think you can slut your way away with my boyfriend?" She says with annoyance in her voice, and i become confused.
I start thinking if this is a case of mistaken identity, cause I don't even know what she's talking about.
"I can see the ignorance on your face, well let me just come straight, cause I don't have time to waste here. I'm Talia and I know the name Jayson is not new to you. I am his girlfriend and you don't have......." She keeps talking and now I know she must really be insane.
Where did Jayson even pick this one from? Does she think I have anything to do with her so called boyfriend? Someone I just met some days ago after a long time?
Everything she says falls on deaf ears , and I just tune her out and keep doing what I'm doing.
My indifference seems to annoy her and the next thing I know, she taps the table while my hands holding my drink is on it and it spills on my face.
This is definitely the height of it all, and I think I've had enough. I stand up, give her a hard slap, which sends her falling in the nearest seat.
Yeah, talkatives like her need to be put in their right place, nonsense!
"The next time you walk in front of me or someone else, and start spewing and ranting nonsense without making enough research to support and back your claim, showing off how foolish you are, that day I'll make sure I crack your skull." I say, and with that I pick my bag, the mini napkin placed on my table, drop some dollar bills to pay for my meal and leave her still on the seat dumbstruck.
She doesn't even make an effort to follow me, or fight and I see that she's just words and no action.
Such an ugly thing! Putting on my shades, I enter the mall, and begin shopping.

JAYSON'S POV
I am told by one of Cherry's workers that she wouldn't be coming in today, and of course I know the reason why.
I groan and take a look at the time on my wrist watch. I look round my almost empty office, and think of bringing things in here to fill up the space.
Picking my car keys, I go outside, get in my car and drive to the nearest shopping mall.
Getting there in few minutes, I get inside, pick a trolley and start shopping for office essentials, at least the time spent here will be useful and help take my mind off things.
I go to the stationery area, and pick some interest books and stationeries.
Moving away, I keep on pushing my trolley and something or someone catches my attention.
Cherry! Cherry is here, and she's also shopping. God! I take a moment to stare at her beautiful but serious face as usual and I chuckle slightly, I so much miss her.
She looks so sexy in her hoodie and shades, and dam nit she has really grown into one beautiful lady, that is for sure.
She moves to the food section, particularly going to the chocolate area and picking lots of them. If I can remember correctly she always ate lots of junks especially chocolates whenever she was angry, and this just shows that she's still angry at me.
Still watching as she wiggles her sexy ass, clad in tight jeans I don't even know when I push my trolley into the kids section, Dam nit.
I mentally curse myself, swearing and taking my trolley out of there.
