My eyes widen while I'm still laying in bed with Dickinson's arm around my waist and I love it. I haven't had such a great sleep for years now. I gently caress his arm while checking the time on his Rolex watch. The time shows a few minutes to five am.
He wakes out of sleep at my touch “Why aren't you sleeping!” he utters with a dizzy voice. I slightly chuckle “It's five a.m already!” I retort with my stare fixed at his handsome face.
We're laying in bed facing each other, but his eyes helplessly closes as we talk and he’s just so titillating. I can't even take my glance off his alluring face.
I gently caress the beards on his chin and his eyes widen as a cold chill goes down his spine. He shifts me closer as he grips my waist with his arm and his eyes are well open this time with he’s stare fix on me “Where are you hurrying to?” he wonders aloud. His charming gaze renders me vulnerable.
“To my mum!” I helplessly caress his beards from his chin to his jaw. I keep caressing once I notice that he actually likes though he doesn't voice it out. He simply shuts his eyes at my touch and gasps. This gives me a feeling of domination over him and I love it “I have to leave!” I add. Though I wish I can stay and spend the day with him.
“Fine!” he halts my hand off his chin and he gently kisses it. Then he hurries out of bed while I lay in bed and watch him “I expect you at the office today and on time!” he instructs, with that said he leaves. “Like seriously!” I firmly exclaim but he's gone already.
A few minutes later,
Jim knocks at the door with my clothes well dried and folded. “Thank you!” I rapidly seize the clothes and I try to lock the door behind me but he halts the door from shutting. I switch to him in surprise “Ma’am, I will be out waiting for you!” he eventually speaks
“Why? Where is Dickinson?” I frown. “Locked in his office and he insisted on no disturbance. Ma’am, as I said, I will take you home!” with that said, he leaves as soon without giving me the time to ask more questions.
I'm done dressing, I walk to Jim who has been out waiting for me. He opens the car door as soon as he perceives me coming. I comfortably seat in and he drives me home.
Once I step into the house “Where were you last night? And don't you dare lie to me!. Carter was here last night so worried clearly showing you weren't with him and he didn't want to tell me much. So where were you?” she steps closer
“I was with Er…” I try to lie “Shut up!. I called Erick last night and asked about you. As usual, I knew he was going to lie so I told him you had an accident and he told me the truth. He had no idea. So for the last time, where were you?” she gets bitter with her hands ready to slap me.
“Oh, Carter!” I murmur in a groan.
“Will you speak before I get aggressive?. I couldn't sleep all night because of you and I couldn't phone you. Carter dropped your phone. Emile, how could you be this careless?” she yells as if I'm still, a baby and this seriously pisses me off.
“Mum, I'm sorry about last night. The most important is that I'm here and alive, right?. Thank you for always worrying about me but I'm a grown-up now and I have my life to live.” I calmly explain.
“Bull shit!” she yells “Bull shit, you mean! You're forever my baby and I won't mind if you phone me every time and especially when you plan to sleep out with strangers. Something you know I strongly despise!” she yells halting me from moving.
“Okay, fine, mum! I will always call you. Can I get some rest now!” I walk away but she unexpectedly halts, tightly clenches my arm “Who is he?. I hope it isn't that married?” she utters in a very cold and disgusting tone. This makes me feel evil. “No! Mum!” I immediately nudge off her grip and I run-up stairs to my room.
“I hope so, young girl, I hope so!” she murmurs as she watches me disappear in guilt.
I fall in bed with my heart pounding hard. Everything hits differently now and I feel so ashamed of my life. How could I spend the night at his place like we’re good friends, meanwhile I know what he wants of me?. “Oouurrr!!” I hit my head in the pillow and I scream in.
After blaming myself for minutes I unconsciously fall asleep without releasing it.
Later, I shudder out of sleep with a blurred vision. I gently rub my eyes as I step out of bed and I stroll downstairs to have something to eat; my stomach is aching with hunger. I find Mum dressing the dining table. I glimpse at the big clock hung in the living room’s wall and the time shows past 12 p.m “Shit!” I yell at myself since it's past time for work and Dickinson insist on my presence at work today. Yet, I feel so dizzy even after this many hours of sleep “Strange!” I tell myself.
“I was about to come and wake you up!” she utters when she sees me approaching. “Is the food ready?. I'm damn hungry. I have to eat and hurry to work!” I walk to the pot and I try to taste the food on fire. But she hits my hand off her pot “When you want to eat on time, you help in the kitchen!” she recklessly exclaims. “Wow!” I take a few steps away while she stirs the pot.
“And you ain't going to work today!” she warns without a glance at me. Her stare is fixed on the pot though her mind seems away. I halt at her words, turning to her with a deadly look “Mum, I can't miss work today! If so I might be fired and you know how much we need this money!” I tightly clench my fists not to yell at her. I hate when she acts this way.
“If so, then so shall it be!” she carelessly exclaims “Mum!” I cry. “Yes! Since you started work there you’ve changed. I don't recognise you anymore!” she keeps stirring her pot. “Mum it's called growth!” I walk back to her crying.
“Don't you dare touch me!” she unexpectedly stops stirring and she turns to me like a robot “Now; you will take a seat and quietly eat!” she firmly instructs that I find myself running to take a seat with a cold chill moving down my bones. Her sudden change of mood is weird. I better stay calm not to pisse her further.
“Good Girl!” she gives me a gentle squeeze on the shoulders as she drops the plate of food in front of me “Now, eat!” she seats by me and watches me eat “Okay...” I pull my word. Her weird reaction scares me rendering me speechless.
“Mum…” I cry “What will I be doing home all day!” I frown. “Spend some time with your mother!” she caresses my jaw.
“It's not done!” I seriously cry. “Shut the hell up and eat your food before it gets cold. You keep acting like a spoilt brat and it seriously hurts me after all the education I gave you!” she speaks with so much disgust in her tone. “What is this?. So you lied to me earlier!” she flings my phone on the table, yet I don't get it.
“This phone has been ringing all day!” I look at her with a stun glance of confusion “Unluck your phone and tell me who the caller is?” she stops me before I can offer a word of resistance. “Unlock it!” she shouts and this horrifies me.
“Okay! Mum!” I yell in guilt and I unlock my phone to see “40 miss calls from Nate and 5 miss calls from Carter” Mum helps me recite, accurate. “I took a count!” says she with a malicious grin on her face. Despite all the coldness of the room I began to sweat.
“Now! Tell me why your Boss will give me 40 miss calls if you didn't spend the night with him?” she shifts closer with a fork in her hands which she presses so hard. I remain speechless searching for an adequate lie and my mind goes blank as I get hypnotised by the fork in her hand.
“Mum, please put that folk down it annoys me. And more to this, I'm not a child!” with this said, I pick my phone and I run into my room.
“You can't run forever!” she screams as she watches me go away.
