I noticed Sadie's mood when I and Edde walked hand in hand out of the stage getting all the attention in the world. While we sat and drank I noticed her constant glare at me. I must say she's even more mad at me now than ever.
Literally everyone in the table smokes apart from me and Melanie. Well that doesn't stop Melanie from being the bad bitch she was, Melanie was more into drinking than smoking and I am very sure that she would be leaving this party wasted.
Wyatt's wife Rue is also a smoker and I found it weird seeing couples smoke together but they seem to be cool with it.
"Elizabeth, won't you take anything? There are soft drinks here," Ray said as I smiled lightly.
"I'm okay" I said as he nodded and sipped his drink.
I couldn't tell them to stop smoking and there is no way I'm leaving the party back to the room without endless questions.
Soon Sadie left the table and I could tell that she left because of me, she can never like me.
My eyes drifted to Luca and Melanie, the space between them was obvious.
After f*king my friend for years he is suddenly disgusted by her presence because she is pregnant, why are men so cold hearted. All I wanted to do was rip his heart out of his chest in defense of Melanie, Mel helped me to humble Edde so I don't mind doing anything to make her happy.
I bit my lip slightly looking away as Ray left the table.
Edde and Wyatt were lost in the 'How many shorts can you drink' Game while Rue did nothing but smoke, I was already feeling bored and Queasy.
"Luca, please can I talk to you for a few minutes?" I asked as they all turned to me curiously. "Privately" I added as he shrugged.
"Fine" he said standing up as I faked a smile at him.
"Betta, is everything alright?" Edde asked curiously as I nodded and led Luca out.
Getting to a secluded spot I aggressively hooked Luca on his shirt and pinned him to the wall. Watching him treat Melanie like trash hurt me badly and I couldn't hold back the urge to confront the scumbag.
"Elizabeth, what's the meaning of this, let go of my shirt, you're rumpling it!" Luca shouted as he tried pulling off my hand but my hand held him too tight to be able to pull off easily.
"Elizabeth let go, I don't want to push you!"
"Oh, try it! Let me show you the stuff I'm made of. I ain't Melanie that loves you so much that she doesn't want to teach you a lesson…now tell me, What's going on between you and my bestie?" I asked harshly as he hissed.
"I will reply to you if only you let go of my expensive shirt" he said as I scoffed and left his shirt.
"Listen Elizabeth, whatever issue I have with Melanie we are gonna settle it between us" he replied as I bit my lip trying hard to swallow my anger.
"Settle issues by beating my bestie up after impregnating her?" I asked with a curved brow as I faked a smile. "You will go out there now and you will apologize to Melanie in front of the audience" I said as he scoffed.
"No way I'm doing that miss"
"Oh Yes way you're doing that else you wanna get your ass whooped by the guards!" I yelled and spat on his face as I giggled loudly walking back to the party floor.
"We will be waiting!" I called out as I could hear his loud grumble.
I sat back on my chair as my eyes drifted to Mel who kept whispering words to me with her right hand covering her mouth, I simply flashed a wink at her and turned to Sadie. She was back but her face was still looking stern.
"Hello ma'am, I got you your favorite drink. Chapman" one of our very familiar maids offered as I smiled at her generosity, indeed I love Chapman but I don't want to drink at all.
"Come on Betta, it's my birthday and the least you could do right now is drink please" Edde said as I rolled my eyes heavenward.
"Fine! I will drink" I said and took the drink from the maid more like a waitress at the moment as she bowed and left.
I made to place my lips in-between the fragile glass cup as… "Elizabeth, don't drink it!" Ray's voice shouted loudly making my hands wobble out of shock as the glass shattered to the ground.
He was already creating a scene as the music was turned off and all eyes were on us.
"Why did you have to shout so loudly? You got me scared, and why shouldn't I drink" I asked curiously in a furrowed brow.
"Sadie here poisoned your drink!" Ray said as everyone in the room gasped in shock.
"I won't let you embarrass me Ray! Where is this coming from!?" Sadie yelled, standing up from her seat angrily.
"Come on Sadie, don't act dumb! I caught you red handedly and I got video of you poisoning the drink and also giving it to the innocent maid" Ray said going through his phone as my jaw dropped in shock, Sadie was shaking in fright and couldn't say a word.
"You…you have a video? That's insane Ray you're just lying" Sadie said in a cracked voice letting out a guilty laugh.
"Oh, let's see to that!" Ray said, showing us his phone screen as Sadie made to snatch it.
"Don't you dare!" I growled and stood up from my seat, I was still shocked that Sadie hated me so much to the extent of poisoning me.
"You're such a desperate bitch! What did I do to deserve so much hate from you!?" I yelled as tears rolled down my cheeks, camera flashes were coming from every angle but this time I don't care, I need the world to know who she really is.
"Such a snake!" Rue Muttered
Everyone was shocked, Edde couldn't say a word he was dumb founded by the whole situation and I could tell that he was also embarrassed.
"I knew it from the start that she hated Elizabeth and would want to hurt her"
So many shades thrown at Sadie…
She stood embarrassed as tears rolled down her cheeks, she couldn't raise her eyes out of shame and was probably hiding from the camera.
"What are you waiting for!? Call the cops!" Wyatt said, I was expecting Sadie to beg for her freedom but she never did.
"Do whatever you wanna do, I don't regret what I did and if I have the opportunity to do worse, I definitely will!" She groaned loudly as I smiled.
"We will see if you can survive this, Ray please call the cops"
In less than five minutes the cops arrived and took Sadie away, the party was cut short and all the guests went back home leaving us all alone.
Wyatt and Rue were still on the Sadie issue while the rest of us were quietly recovering from the shock of Sadie's toxic action.
"Huh!? Luca ran away Etta!" Melanie screamed, getting all our attention. That was when I remembered that I asked Luca to come beg Mel and he hasn't been back since then.
"I simply told him to come beg you in front of the guests and that was it, was it that hard for him?"
Everyone was speechlessly watching us as Melanie cried, I felt guilty for even doing nothing. I have never seen her cry and it hurts to see her cry because of a guy.
"That dude doesn't look like the lovey dovey type, he looks like a thug and with the way he acted towards you during the party I could tell that he doesn't like you" Rue said nonchalantly. "You smoke?".
"No she's pregnant and she doesn't, thanks for the offer Rue" I snapped and turned back to Melanie.
"Mel, come with me, we need to talk" .

Days turned into weeks and weeks into months, I stood by the mirror staring at the reflection of my baby bump. Soon my baby will be born in less than two weeks according to the doctor.
Once my baby is born my days in Edde's life are numbered.
For the past two weeks Edde has been busy with a new contract at work and barely comes back home early neither does he have my time, I can't remember the last time I saw him because he goes out early before I wake up from sleep in the morning and comes back late at night when I already slept.
I was also kept busy by a doula who gets my mind ready for childbirth and she really does well in helping me emotionally just that she's too serious and doesn't make jokes.
And when I do? She doesn't laugh!… Insane old lady.
"Ray! I don't really get what's going on, neither you nor Edde cares to know how I feel… Do I smell now!?" I yelled into the intercom system not minding if the message might get to someone else who isn't Ray.
Just then a slight knock was placed on my door. "Come in," I said as the door opened.
Ray walked in with a twinkle on his face. "You look so pretty today Elizabeth," he complimented as I smiled.
"Thank you" I Muttered grinning from ear to ear.
"Now let's get you ready" he said and clapped dramatically as two men in purple tight glittery pantsuits walked in with purple faux fur rabbit ears on their hair.

"Who are they?" I asked curiously as I watched the men keep their boxes on the floor.
"Oh, They will be dressing you up for our family dinner… Yeah, you weren't supposed to know about the plan so don't get mad" he said and winked as I shrugged. "Guys get in the work" he snapped and left my room leaving me with two weirdos.
