Hearing the steady footstep matching on the Stairs I could tell it was angry Edde so I quickly hurried back to the bed, lay down and covered myself pretending to be asleep.
He Swung the door open and for some seconds everywhere was dead silent. "Stop pretending to be asleep Elizabeth, I can see your reflection through the mirror" he said calmly as I bit my lips nervously, I totally forgot we have a wall mirror by the bed.
I pretentiously yawned and sat up now facing his angry face. "What's wrong?" I asked as he sighed deeply and fell on the couch.
"It's nothing serious" he replied almost in a whisper as I rolled my eyes heavenward…I heard every damn thing punk!
I watched as he clicked on his phone, obviously engrossed in whatever he was doing. I yanked off the bed cover from my body and sat at the edge of the bed glaring at him scornfully, he raised his head up looking at me as he shrugged his shoulders.
"What's wrong?" He asked as I bit my lips tightly that it definitely turned red.
"When were you gonna tell me about your birthday?" I asked harshly as he furrowed his brows.
"How did you know About my birthday?" He asked curiously as I scoffed.
"Of course I'd know! I have kept track of it for 5 years now!" I yelled as he shone his eyes in shock making me realize what I said to his face as I quickly shut my mouth with my palms Melting in embarrassment.
"Five years?" He repeated in shock as I slowly let my hand slip down my mouth as I signed. I have overgrown this, I should stop being unnecessarily shy. He knows that I had a crush on him before we met.
"Yes, five freaking years Edde! That isn't the issue… When did you plan to talk about your birthday with me?" .
"Well, I planned on surprising you but hence you're mad about it I will just say it".
He planned to surprise me? That's the least I expect from him. Should I tell him not to bother telling me or…
"I invited Luca and Mel and I also booked a flight for them" he said as I gasped in shock.
"You invited my bestie!?" I felt my heart beat increase in joy, I didn't expect such sweet thing from him! Now I feel bad for letting him tell me.
"Why are you shocked? I thought you would like to see your friend again?" He asked curiously as I smiled.
"No I'm really happy, I am just surprised that you did that for me".
"I equally invited your mom but she said that she isn't in New York and can't come for my birthday" Oh goodness my mom! Where has she gone to and who knows the old man she is with now?… She didn't even bother telling me.
"Thanks so much for inviting Melanie and Luca, I planned inviting them too" I said in a smile, if only I could just hug him and kiss him like couples freely do.
"You're welcome" he said boredly and took his laptop on the table.
"Uhm, Edde…" I said as he raised his eyes, giving me a questioning look. "Never mind" I said and picked my phone. It was so annoying to be in the same room as Edde but still can't have a nice discussion with him. I feel like a robot because ever since my belly bump increased he stop touching me or even looking at me sexually he would rather sleep with Sadie who Always seemed to be ready to have him.
For Four months I have been a virgin, no sex no nothing all he tries to do is take care of my cravings which he complains too much about.
"Betta, can you please choose a suit for me, there are lots of beautiful suits here and I seem to like them all" he said as he handed the laptop to me. I could feel happy butterflies dancing in my belly. I couldn't hold the happiness of Edde actually asking for my opinion.
I nodded at each suit I saw, indeed they were all classic but I prefer grey on my men. I have seen Edde in grey suits and he looks hot in it. "This Grey Armani will look good on you" I said, showing him the screen as he nodded with a cold smile.
"I like it, order for it" he said as I clicked on the order button and kept the laptop back on the table just then Edde's phone rang.
"Hey what's with calling me by this time?" He Answered coldly in-between gnitched teeth. "I am coming" he said worriedly and stood up about heading out.
"Where are you going?"
"Sadie is in the living room, she's complaining of a slight fever" Edde replied, sounding worried as I scoffed. I knew that Sadie was faking all of this to get close to Edde tonight.
"Why is she here instead of the hospital?" I asked as he sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "Because I don't know you as a doctor or, are you?" I pointed with a furrowed brow.
"Elizabeth, let's keep the long talks aside, she is already here let me just see her" he said as he made to dash out.
"Uhm, Edde I am having that usual back pain again I was about to tell you before your girlfriend called" I said, faking a pale face as he sighed.
"Elizabeth, just give me a few minutes. I will be back to take care of you" he said hastily and dashed out as I rolled my eyes falling back to the bed.
Why does he seem so worried about Sadie that he chose to attend to her before me?
"Why is Sadie trying so hard to come back to Edde?" I Muttered and sighed as I dressed myself into the bed and stretched my hand to the intercom system lying on the wall and clicked the button. "I need a glass of milk" I messaged.
I shut my eyes waiting for my order, it's been minutes and yet I haven't received my milk. I sat up and glared at the door. Edde or Ray is supposed to get me the milk hence the workers ain't around and I'm sure Ray is still pissed from his argument with Edde so … Why hasn't Edde brought my order?
"It can't be because of Sadie!" I said in-between gnitched teeth and shoved my legs into my slipper as I matched out of the room.
Stepping down the stairs I sighted Sadie laying on Edde's laps comfortably which even got me more pissed.
"Edde! Is this why you left me alone in the room? You heard my order but you choose to ignore me because of this slut?" I yelled as Sadie sat up immediately glaring scornfully at me.
"How dare you! How dare you call me a slut you low life cheap whore who forced yourself to get pregnant for Edde" she said back Making me want to strangle her at once.
"Elizabeth I told you…".
"Spare me that Edde, does this witch look sick to you? I mean isn't it obvious she's tryna get close to you?… Or even if she's sick why didn't she just go to the hospital, wait- Speaking of that, I'd like to help" I said as I walked over to Sadie and pulled her hair dragging her out to the exit.
"Ouch! Edde, get your crazy wife's hand off me now!!" She squealed as Edde tried holding me.
"Don't you dare!".
"Elizabeth, stop this Please!" Edde pleaded as I pushed Sadie out and locked the door.
"You will regret this Elizabeth! I will call you out on social media!" She yelled, making me chuckle as I opened the curtains to see her crazy ass on the floor.
"Call me out on socials and also explain to them why you came to see my husband by this time of the night… Bitch!" I yelled and closed the curtains as I turned to Edde giving him a hard glare…such a cunt.
"Elizabeth, you didn't need to act wild," he said softly.
"Get me the glass of milk I ordered".

Sadie Squealed in pain as she entered inside her house, her whole body was bruised due to the hard fall and her body ached badly. "That girl is a witch! How dare she touch me! And Edde couldn't even fight for me" Sadie cried as she sat on the couch.
"Welcome ma'am" Sadie raised her head to see one of her maids.
"Get out of my sight!" Sadie yelled as the maid hurried out. "I have an interview next week and Edde's birthday is in two days' time. How will I go with these bruises?" Sadie muttered and sighed as her phone rang out.
"Nat" Sadie hissed as she swiped to the answer icon "what is it Nat?"
"Hi Sadie, with the sound of your voice I can tell that you're upset or…"
"Nat, why did you call?" Sadie asked impatiently.
"Well, I am in London now so, if you need my help just call on me" He said letting out a husky laugh over the phone.
"The last time I sent you on a simple task at the club you got everything messed up and were beaten up so…I don't need you" Sadie said and hung up.
