Michael decided to follow George to the club today, weeks have passed after their graduation and he had a lot of free time.
Although he have considered looking for a job immediately but decided to take a little break, same with George.
“George will never change.” Michael thought as he watched him approach a girl they saw immediately they went inside the club.
“See you later man.” George shouted on top of his voice, because of the loud music playing in the club, as he took the girls hand and led her to the dance floor, he turned his head briefly, and winked an eye at him, feeling happy he got a date.
Michael, seeing how happy the girl looked, marveled at how easy it is for George to convince a girl to dance with him, George does not have a girlfriend, instead he preferred having different dates each time he goes to a party, and he seemed to be cool with it.
Michael walked to the bar table and sat down on a stool, he asked the bar tender for a drink on top of his voice as the music was loud in the club and he can barely hear himself.
He sat there looking around the bar, he took note of the girl sitting next to him, who seemed drunk to him because of the way she appeared.
The bar tender brought his drink for him moments later, he picked up the glass and took a sip. The girl sitting next to him looked rich though, and beautiful too, Michael thought, still observing her from the corner of his eyes, holding his glass close to his mouth.
“What!.” Lora shouted glaring at Michael, she has caught him staring at her and did not feel good about it, she wanted to party but after she got here she did not feel like it anymore so she decided to drink instead and was alright by herself as the people here seemed to ignore her, she was already used to being by herself so it was not a problem to her.
Michael paused his head immediately after Lora spoke to him in that manner, wondering if she was talking to her, he turned around to see if there's someone else sitting next to him, but found none.
“You, I am talking to you.” Lora shouted again still glaring in his direction, Michael turned again to see her finger pointing at him.
“Me?” He asked on top of his voice looking at her, a little surprised.
“Yes you, why are you staring at me like that?” Lora asked drunkenly at Michael.
“I am not staring at you Miss.” Michael replied putting his glass on the bar table, and briefly looked around to see if she is with someone because she seemed really drunk.
“Yes you are, I saw you staring at me with the corner of your eyes.” She insisted, standing up from her seat and staggered towards Michael who quickly caught her by the waist, as she stumbles and was about to fall down.
Lora quickly scrambled back on her feet still staggering a little. “Let go of me.” She shouted, and Michael let go of her almost immediately.
“Her skin is so soft.” Michael thought gazing at her, he is mesmerized by her beauty, her voice sounding like music in Michael's ears or so he thought.
“What's going on here?” George asked Michael, when he came from the dance floor with the girl he is with, to get a drink at the bar table, he saw what happened and gazed from Michael to the girl who seemed drunk.
“And who is this?” Lora asked pointing at George, who turned to look at Michael, a little puzzled at the way his friend stood there speechless, he seem not to notice him.
He turned again to face Lora who is drunk “I am his friend, my name is George.” George introduced himself, and then stretched forth his hand to her.
“My na...m...e is Lo...r...a.” She said rather slowly, stretching the words as she extends her hand and shook George, still staggering back and forth a little.
Michael just stood there, his gaze on her, he heard her say her name, which sounded like sweet music to his ears, or maybe it's the way she said it. He thought.
“What a beauty.” George said, and kissed her hand, and then he turned to Michael who still stood there speeches. “Mike, say something.” He shouted a little higher than the way they spoke because of the high music in the club.
“Yes George.” Michael said, recollecting himself, He turned and looked at George and then back to Lora, still unable to say another word.
“Are you best friends?” Lora asked again drunkenly, turning her gaze from George to Michael.
“Yes, Lora.” George replied winking an eye at Michael, who is still looking from George to Lora.
“And who is this beauty here?” Lora asked yet again drunkenly pointing at the girl who is with George, she’s also standing and watching Lora’s display just like Michael, the only difference is that Michael is mesmerized by her.
“This is my date and her...” George is yet to complete his statement when Lora cut him short.
“Are you fucking them both?” Lora blurted out and staggered close to girl, taking them all my surprise.
“What?” George’s date asked, feeling embarrassed by Lora’s question.
“I said, Are you fu...ck...ing them both?” Lora asked again, stressing the question this time.
“Hey! Watch what you say to me b*tch.” George's date said, moving towards Lora angrily but was stopped immediately by Michael and George.
“She’s a wh*re, she's a beautiful wh*re.” Lora shouted, clapping her hands together, as she staggered back and forth, laughing hysterically.
“Go to hell you crazy b*tch.” George's date said and walked away, mumbling some words to herself.
“Wh*re...” Lora shouted after her, still staggering and laughing hysterically now.
“Let go of me.” She shouted at Michael who tried to hold her still as she was about to fall.
George and Michael looked around again to see if anyone is coming for her, both no one is.
“Lora, you are drunk.” Michael said to her, trying to hold her still to keep her from falling but to no avail, as Lora still falls down, taking Michael with her to the ground.
“Shit.” Michael said. “George, give me a hand.” Michael said raising his hand to George, who took it and pulled him up.
“We have to go George, please call me a taxi.” Michael said to George who ran out immediately to get a taxi, and then Michael bent over and lifted Lora who had already passed out onto his shoulders and followed George out of the club.
