Lora have been spending her time mostly in a library she found in the city, she is amazed at how huge and magnificent the library is and she is really enjoying her time there since reading books is her hobby.
She has occasionally thought of Michael and at some point, she had considered going to his apartment to pay him a visit since he is the only guy that has moved her so far in this city, but the problem is, what is she going to say to him? Because asking a guy out isn't her thing.
She has met a few other guys in some other clubs she has been to, but none of them has moved her the way Michael did, although she is really not interested in starting another relationship as she has given up on love and friendship, besides she don't want to look desperate as it turned out she was being desperate in her past relationship, which ended up giving her nothing but a broken heart.
Lora resulted to going to this library she discovered more often than going to the club’s, besides she find more comfort going to the library than going to the clubs.
It was on a day such as this one that she had seen a familiar figure at the library and she was amazed herself that she could recognize the figure of a guy she had met once, someone who is practically a stranger to her.
She quickly hid herself behind a book shelve but it was already late, as she heard the strangers voice, sounding so familiar too to her, call out her name.
“Lora?” Michael called, not really sure if she is really the one, or have he began to hallucinate, he thought.
Michael slowly walked to the other side of the book shelve, he is hoping that the person he saw is really Lora.
“Lora.” He called again, when he saw that it was really her he had seen.
“Hi.” Lora said, turning to face him immediately, braising herself as she does not want it to be obvious that she was trying to hide from him.
“What are you doing here?” she asked almost immediately, looking up at him, the last thing she wants is to look shy in front of this guy, who she is obviously older than.
“I often come here to read.” He replied, looking at her. He couldn't believe that the girl he has been going to the club to look for all this while, is right in front of him and also in a library, he knew it, that there is something different about this girl, he thought.
“Really.” Lora replied. “ I recently discovered this place and it has become my favourite hide out you know.” She continued, looking up at him briefly and then around the library.
“That's good, I love this place too, you know it's also my hide out.” Michael said, looking around the library as well and then back to her.
“This means you love books.” He continued, looking closely at the book in her hand, he was amazed to find that she is holding one of his favourite books.
“You know that's my favourite book you are holding.” Michael said pointing at the book in her hand.
“Really.” Lora replied hold the book up a little. She is really surprised that a guy like Michael loves books, not to talk of being interested in her kind of books, and he really didn't look like it. Alfredo never liked books, let alone having interest in the kind of books she reads, he would always play with his phone rather than read any of her books. She thought, glancing at Michael.
They sat down at a table and discussed at length the book Lora had picked from the book shelve. She could really see that he wasn't lying when he told her that, the book was one of his favourite, to Lora’s amazement, he can really quote most of the lines the author used in the book.
They were both marveled at how they got along with each other, and they were carried away by their discussion that they did not realize how much time they've spent in the library.
“It's really getting late.” Lora told Michael when she looked at the time on her wrist watch.
“Yeah, sure it is.” Michael replied, looking at his wrist watch as well.
"Can I see you again?” He asked, gazing at her, he wished that he has the power to make the day stand still, because he did not feel like leaving just yet.
“Yeah, sure.” Lora replied, feeling happy inside that he asked, she have never enjoyed the company of a guy like this before, she used to think that she enjoyed Alfredo’s company but this is nothing like it, it's as if they can read each other’s mind, they interacted just fine and she doesn't feel shy or whatsoever, in fact she is being herself in the presence of this handsome fellow, she thought.
“Okay, can I have your phone number?” Michael asked again.
“Sure." she replied. And they both exchange their cell phone numbers and with that Michael promised to call her.
Outside the library, Michael watched as she entered the taxi she had called earlier, he wave her goodbye as the taxi drove off.
“Today is sure a good day, because of Lora.” he thought and smiled at himself. Finally he has found her, he is going to call George to cancel the appointment they have with each other.
George had agreed to take Michael to some other clubs in town, in search of Lora, based on Michael's request.
He smiled to himself again at the thought of Lora, she is nothing like the woman he first had sex with.
“Lora is really different from Brenda.” He thought, as he stopped a taxi too that would take him to his own apartment.
