Agatha’s POV
“Yes!”
I quickly covered my mouth after shouting out loud. With a bright smile on my face, I sat up while looking at the email I received just now.
[“Congratulations, Agatha Samson! You passed the review test for the Joyreed Review Center. Your study time will start as soon as you get your ID from the center. You can choose which time you prefer. Congratulations again! We hope to see you!”]
I put my phone on my chest and thanked God for giving me this chance. Now that I can review for the board exam, I will have the chance to take the exam next year.
“I can do it.”
All of the problems and worries which were bugging my head these past few days disappeared for a moment.
Who cares if Lanceil doesn’t fall for me? I still have time.
And Vincent? He cannot kick me out even if no matter how much he tries.
I don’t need to think about Brett too.
That morning when I was so optimistic about my future, I thought nothing would stop me.
But when night falls and I finished dressing up, I realized that I have forgotten the most important thing to consider.
“I didn’t ask my boss to allow me to study in the review center,” I mumbled.
Eight o’clock in the evening.
I was planning to go to the review center to get my ID tonight. My boss just arrived home, and he stuck himself inside his office.
‘Darn it. I have to ask for his permission!’
I exited my room and looked around the condo. It was quiet outside.
My heart was beating so hard when I reached in front of my office’s door.
‘How can I persuade my boss to allow me to study while working for him and while seducing him?’
I looked at my reflection through the small mirror hanging on the wall.
‘Maybe, beauty will work.’
I put my trust in my appearance and gathered the courage to knock on the door.
Tok. Tok. Tok.
“Sir, It’s me, Agatha.”
“What do you want? I am busy.”
“T-There something I need to ask, Sir.”
“Haa,” he sighed. “All right. Come in.”
I fixed my hair and stood straight. Opening the door, I peeked inside.
Lanceil was sitting in front of his desk. His necktie was loosened, and three buttons of his polo were opened. He looked at me with an expression that said I was bothering him.
‘I really don’t want to accept the truth. But my cold boss is freaking hot. Maybe, it was because of my ideal type. I love men who are dedicated in their works.’
But I knew I shouldn’t feel this towards Lanceil because he’s my target, and I must be the seducer.
“What do you want?”
Smiling from ear to ear, I tucked my hair behind my ears.
“Sir, I passed the review test for Joyreed Review Center School,” I said.
Lanceil didn’t react and only looked at me.
“I need to get my ID tonight. And also…”
“You wanted to study while working here?” he asked me before I could finish my words.
“T-That would not affect my work!” I reassured. “I will work hard in the morning. At night, I will study and come back before midnight. Can you… allow it?”
My boss picked up some documents.
Without looking back at me, he gave his answer.
“I pay you with the promised hours. I don’t see any reason to stop you.”
Eureka!
“Thank you so much, Sir! Thank you!”
“You are so noisy.”
I shut my lips and gave him an apologetic smile.
‘If he only knew my real personality, he wouldn’t think that I am a talkative person.’
I am only doing this to get to his side.
“Go now. You need to get your ID, right?”
“Yes, Sir! I promise to get back before midnight!”
He raised his hand and shooed me away. “Be gone.”
‘He looks like he was shooing a ghost.’
Anyway, let’s just be thankful.
I turned around and opened the door.
“Agatha.”
I stopped when Lanceil called me. Gradually I looked back.
What I saw next awed me. Lanceil was blushing!
‘Wait. Why is he blushing?’
After thinking so hard, I concluded that maybe I succeeded in enticing my boss.
‘Did the beauty technique really works this time?’
Smiling sweetly, I tucked my hair behind my ears again and answered him in a gentle voice.
“Yes, Sir?”
Lanceil looked away. “Y-Your dress. Fix it.”
My dress?
"The hemline of your skirt was up I could see everything. Please fix it," he explained.
I quickly turned around and saw that my panty was showing!
Holding my breath, I fixed my skirt.
“Sorry, Sir!”
Then I walked out.
Leaning on the closed door, I screamed without sound.
‘Shit! Shit! Seducing my boss? Instead of seducing, I made a fool out of myself!’
If there’s a hole right now, I want to crawl down!
“What happened to you?”
I put my hands down and looked at Vincent who was laughing while watching at me from a great distance.
“What were you doing inside my brother’s office?” Vincent, who was only wearing a bathrobe, asked.
