"Don't you think that this is too much?" My uncle stood beside me as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. I turned to him for a second and looked back to the beautiful view of the sunset.
"And why do you think it's too much?"
"She's innocent, Andre. She doesn't know about this and if she knows about this she will-"
"Leave me.. She will give me the divorce paper right in front of my eyes and I'm going to sign it." I said knowing what will happen sooner or later.
"She will hate you.. to death."
"I don't care." I said confidently.
"You should invite her here sometimes to have dinner with us." He said and I turned to him disbelief.
"You want to have dinner with your brother's killer's daughter? Are you nuts?" I asked him and he sighed. He put his hand on my shoulder and scrunched it a little bit.
"She innocent, Andre. She's not her father." He patted my shoulder a few times and then he walked away.
"I'm going back."
"Okay.. drive safely." He said and I sighed. I looked back to the sunset view and yes.. the sun's gone now. I walked back to my car and got into it. I sat for a few minutes thinking about my uncle's words from earlier. I started my car and drove back towards my house.
I opened the top of the car and put my sunglasses on. I love the feeling of the wind hitting my face, it's refreshing and sometimes it helps you to push all your thoughts away.
When I arrived at my house, I got off from my car and walked into my house. I found Tatiana sitting on the balcony sipping her tea. She turned to me when she heard the door open. I walked out to the balcony and sat on the chair beside her.
"Where were you?"
"My uncle's house." I simply said.
"You okay?" She suddenly asked and that made me turn to her.
"We are married to each other but I don't like it when you're asking something like that. It's my life and my privacy. I don't care about yours so you can do whatever you want except cheating or being with another man. I don't want my reputation to fall down just because my wife is with another man." I warned her in a cold tone and she crossed her arms looking at me glaring.
"Wow.. Reputation is important to you huh? If I can't cheat.. you can't be with other girls either." She said and I smirked.
"Whatever you say.. I'm going to have dinner, if you want to eat come, if you don't.. suit yourself." I said as I got up from my seat. I walked back into the house and walked out from the front door.
"Wait!" I heard she said. She got out from the house and then ran towards me, she stood beside me and I turned to her. She put her hand on my shoulder and slipped her shoes on. Suddenly she lost her balance and I just caught her back.. I pushed her back so she could stand up straight again.
I walked first and then she followed me. We walked side by side but none of us talked which made me more comfortable with me. I need to make a distance with this girl or else I know what will happen if I don't make a really big distance.
"Did you live here? Right.. sorry." She apologized right away after remembering what I said earlier.
"It's a habit of mine to ask a lot of things.. remind me of that." She added and I just stay silent. I heard a car honking behind us and I gestured to her to go to the side more. I gestured to her to go down the stairs and she gestured to me to go first. I walked down first and walked into the restaurant.
"Andre? Is that you?"
"Flore! Hey how are you?" I smiled widely and hugged her. Flore is the owner of the restaurant and she's in her 60s. She's really kind and really sweet. I love her restaurant the most here.
"I'm good so.. who is this beautiful girl? I'm glad that you bring someone.." She said and then she turned to Tatiana. Tatiana shook her hand and Flore hugged her.
"I'm Tatiana."
"She's my wife." I said and Flore's eyes widened.
"Oh really? Aww you two are so perfect. Just call me Flore and please sit down." She said as she dragged the both of us to the outdoor tables. We sat down and she looked at the menu.
"You know what I love.. as usual.." I said and she smiled widely nodding her head.
"How about you Tatiana?" She asked her. I turned my head to Tatiana and she ordered roasted lamb and grilled cheese.
"The two of you basically order the same thing. I'll be right back!" Flore said and she left. I turned my head to the view and yes I miss Santorini a lot.
"I guess you used to live here for a long time.. God.. Me and Eric used to talk about going here for our honeymoon and even buy a house here. He loves Santorini too." She said and I bet she still can't move on.
"Still want to marry him after he cheated on you?" I asked looking at her.
"I hate that fact but if he really apologizes and swears that he will never do that again and beg for my forgiveness.. I think I can consider it." She answered and I laughed dryly.
"Forgiveness? How can you forgive someone easily?"
"Everyone deserves a second chance, Deandre." She said and I shook my head.
"Hey.. everyone makes mistakes and maybe you too. We all deserve a second chance." She said and I rolled my eyes. I do make mistakes.. marrying you is one of my mistakes.
"I can't believe I just married today and I'm already thinking about our divorce." She added.
"Me too." I said.
