Delilah's POV

“My family?”, I asked.
“It’s fine with me as long as you pay the rent.”, Though he said in a serious tone. I knew he didn’t mean it. But at the same time, I wasn’t planning to make my family stay at his house without paying him. After all, I earn enough to take responsibility for my family. In fact, I was doing the same past year.
“Don’t worry about that, Mr. Hayes. I will talk to you later.”
“Sure.”, With this, I disconnected the call and looked at my home from outside. Instead of entering through the door, I climbed on the wall and then entered inside the house through the terrace, and I slowly walked in.
“...I’m keeping my child.”, I heard Mia’s loud, hoarse voice. “I’m not aborting him or her.”
In no time, I unlocked my phone and started recording the video.
“First, you did something because of which your husband left you, and now this baby. No one will marry you with this baby, so you will have to abort it whether you like it or not.”, Dad shouted.
“That shouldn’t be your concern whether anyone will marry Mia or not. It’s not that you handle our expenses.”, It was Nova who spoke.
Great! Now my sisters learned to answer back those jerks.
“Novaaa,” Dad raised his hand on her, but it never reached her cheeks because Mom held it in between.
“Dare you to lay your hands on any of my daughters.”, Mom said, coming in between. “You can’t do the same to my daughters that you did to me.”
BINGO!
Even Mom learned to stand in front of dad. It wasn’t that I could interfere in between at this moment, but I wanted to see what was how my family was going to handle everything now?
“Maya, Andrian, Handle these three while I end the story of this unborn child.”, Dad said, and my stepmom and my stepbrother came into the picture.
While Andrian reached toward Nova and Zoey, Maya walked toward Mom and My so-called father toward Mia.
“Dad…I won’t spare you if you dare to harm my baby.”, Mia threatened, moving back. And soon, the fight started. I needed some proof. That was why I unwillingly stayed back for a while to make sure to record that part of the video where they would be hitting and abusing, not the part that would happen next, because whatever was going to happen next was not good news for them.
I dropped my bag and started going downstairs, wrapping the sleeves of my shirt.
Yes, shirts!! I prefer boyish clothes rather than dresses. Everyone was so busy that no one gave a damn to my heroic entry.
Seriously? What was I? An invisible person?
Asher, my so-called dad, was about to hit Mia’s stomach when I grabbed him by his neck from the back.
“Hello, Everyone,” I said with a wicked smile, waiting to see the paled face of everyone. The boy who was hitting my sisters until now quickly hid behind my sisters, and Maya left my mom’s hair and stood near her placing her on her shoulder like a sister.
“My favorite daughter!!” Maya beamed with a fake smile.
“I wish I could say the same.”, I said, returning the same fake smile.
While Asher started wiggling in my grip angrily, ready to fight with me, I pushed him away, leaving him. He wanted to fight, so I will give him the same.
“You bitch!!” he launched on me and started hitting back to back continuously, and I dogged all his attacks swiftly. If I wanted to show him my knowledge, I would have used magic already, but I wanted to beat him in that field in which he was good. And he was good in just hand-to-hand combat.
He was getting frustrated because of the failure to hit me, and that was when he showed his first weakness.
The more frustrated he would get, the more chances of my success he was giving me. When he was finally drained, I gave a tight slap on his face. Though no one slapped anyone during the fight, I wanted to insult him. That’s why instead of punching, I slapped him, and I did that again and again.
“I’m your father.”, he roared in anger. But I kept slapping him non-stop.
“Delilah,” Mom tried to stop me, but Mia held her. I picked up the chair beside me and broke it on his back.
“Delilah, please stop it. He is your father.”, Mom said, holding my arms when I was about to hit on his head with the remaining parts of the chair.
I threw those parts away and glared at Asher, Maya, and Andrian.
“Everyone pack your bags!! We are leaving, NOW.”, I said, more like order. “Mom, including you.”, I added, showing her how serious I was with my words.
She looked at Asher and then at me, and then after a while, she nodded.
One by one, everyone left the room to get their belongings. While I stood there, daring them to do something.
“Come here!!” I said, looking at Andrian, on which he reluctantly came near me in fear. “Bring the backpack from upstairs.”
He nodded his head and quickly ran away from there to get my backpack from upstairs and returned back in a few seconds and gave it to me.
“So, how is your training going on?” I asked him, making him sit beside me.
“Trai.. Training is going well.”, he stuttered.
“That’s why you were using your learning on Nova and Zoey, huh?”
“_____” He looked at me in fear. I saw small beads of sweat on his forehead. I grabbed my bag pack and pulled out PS5 that I had bought for him.
