The Thousand-Eyed Demon looked towards the red mountains in the distance and saw a black throne at the peak. A cold light shone in his eyes, "I am different. I will not miss any opportunity because of Pride!"
Then why did you bring me here, you could have handled this on your own.
"Bruce, you are my most excellent servant in the human realm, I will fulfill the initial promise and grant you the strongest power..."
As the Thousand-Eyed Demon slowly stepped onto the red stone steps, heading toward the direction of the throne, he said, "But before that, I want you to guard this place and let no one disturb me."
At this point, the Thousand-Eyed Demon harbored resentment quietly, damn Death Knight, waiting so long, yet not a trace of him.
"My master, your power is so great that even if someone breaks in, they could not possibly be your match."
Wayne raised an eyebrow, "Moreover, my power is too weak, I fear I may have difficulty fulfilling your task when the time comes."
The Thousand-Eyed Demon fixed his gaze on Wayne, waved his hand to shift the space, and placed Wayne on a mountain column opposite the red hills.
The peak of the mountain column had been shaved off, forming a flat platform ten meters wide, on which stood an ancient altar.
Around the altar were symbols and characters that Wayne had never seen before, eerie and indescribable. At first glance, the symbols seemed sacred, while the characters were filled with evil. Upon closer inspection, the sacred and the evil reversed, gradually blurring the two completely opposing concepts in the symbols and characters.
"The altar was established by Lord Pride. It is carved with both the Angel’s Golden Rule and the Seven Deadly Sins Melody. Its original purpose was to create a body that could house all of his thoughts, allowing him to defy the seal and walk the human realm. Because of Pride, he abandoned it,"
"Conversely, human blood can create new devils!"
The voice of the Thousand-Eyed Demon entered Wayne’s ears, "Drip your blood into the altar, imbue it with your thoughts, and the altar will reincarnate a flesh body for you that can walk in Hell. With that body, you can manipulate the magma here."
So, after all this time, this isn’t even your turf!
Your so-called plan is just mooching off of Lord Pride’s scheme!
"Master, I will begin now."
Wayne stepped forward, groping the altar, and let out a soft exclamation, suddenly feeling invigorated.
The Thousand-Eyed Demon arrived in front of the throne on the mountain, where an invisible mirror refracted human Hell, materializing his figure in Hell.
It was a massive worm lying in wait in shadow, over ten thousand meters long, each tentacle tipped with a black devil’s eye.
He waved his hand to touch the mirror’s surface, sensing his own Hellish thoughts, and slowly sat on the throne.
Surge of thoughts flooded into him, and the body of the Thousand-Eyed Demon burst open with stinking worm juice. He endured the agony of his soul being torn apart and fused bit by bit, accepting the power from Hell.
The Thousand-Eyed Demon narrowed his eyes coldly, indifferent to the flunkie in the distance.
Devils will not grant anyone power; if they do, it is only temporary. Devils can take it back at any time.
Jeliff hadn’t found a suitable body for him; the current modified body was only similar in form, lacking the essence and utterly incapable of bearing all thoughts. Once the altar reincarnates a fresh body, he would immediately take it.
"If not for the Death Knight, who has been slow to come, if not for the excess of troublesome insects, how could you benefit from this!"
Among the seven Great Demon Kings, Lord Pride, the strongest, had an altar specially made for himself. The thought stirred the Thousand-Eyed Demon, for the reborn body would undoubtedly be incredibly powerful.
Wayne nodded quietly to himself, the moment he touched the altar, The Book of Greed immediately woke, greedily feasting while gaining the power that represented Heaven and Hell.
Desire satisfied, desire ever expanding!
The Book of Greed never understood the concept of satisfaction. The Great Eyeball spotted a door, a wide-open Hell Gate, casting a look of intense covet.
Wayne’s chest quivered, nearly exposing himself on the spot. He subdued the longing of The Book of Greed, his gaze equally covetous toward the Hell Gate.
Fingertip wind blades sliced and frictioned to drop a trace of blood on the altar. He could hardly wait to enter Hell for a feast, completely forgetting the important task of transforming into the Death Knight and slaying the Thousand-Eyed Demon.
Wayne: No need to rush, first garner some benefits, only with a full belly will I have the strength to chop people down!
The Book of Greed: Quite hard not to agree.
Blood imbued with Wayne’s thoughts condensed on the altar, expanding into a lump, birthing white flesh, a pair of bat wings unfurled, wrinkled pale skin stretching over the entire body...
