Dense beams of Death raked across the sky and earth, peeling back the mirror-like fragments of shattered space.
As space continued to collapse, the Lava Territory became increasingly unstable. The frenzied rivers of magma surged skywards again and again, massive hands of ever-changing molten rock reaching to grasp the Millipede, offering it a warm embrace before viciously pulling it down from the heights.
The beams of Death converged, severing the molten hands.
Wayne’s thoughts were suppressed, unable to utilize the full authority of a Lord, left to counter the Thousand-Eyed Demon with only the small tricks he could scramble together.
He felt inadequate, but the Thousand-Eyed Demon didn’t think so, firmly believing that the talent of a Demon Bat was exceptional, naturally excellent material for a Demon King.
Should it be left to develop in the human world for a few years, its counterattack into Hell would certainly be overwhelmingly powerful.
Upon further thought, it was he who had personally elevated the Demon Bat to such heights as a Demon King, the Thousand-Eyed Demon’s hatred intensified, resolved to drag the Demon Bat into Hell, to avoid giving it any chance to awkwardly grow strong in the human world.
As for whether the Demon Bat could rise again in Hell, the Thousand-Eyed Demon wasn’t worried at all.

The Thousand-Eyed Demon concentrated ninety percent of its attention on the Demon Bat while gathering strength for a second self-detonation. Renata’s pressure plummeted, allowing her to arrive smoothly in front of the Hell Gate.
The dark vortex was chaotic and indistinct, requiring only a strong impact to blast open the door from the human world to Hell.
Once the Hell Gate opened, it was highly likely to attract a Devil to descend upon the human realm.
Although the possibility of peace existed, Renata dared not take the risk. Preparing for the worst, she speculated that the Thousand-Eyed Demon still had plans, behind the Hell Gate, the Demon King and his army awaited to enter the human world.
There was no time to delay; Renata dissolved the Holy Spear in her hand, stood amidst the Magic Array in midair, and her pure wings scattered behind her, transforming into more than a dozen chains. They plunged into the dark mist, blocking the reverse rotation of the chaotic vortex.
Chains alone weren’t enough, she needed to put an additional lock on this door!
"Gunther, recite the Golden Rule, let a fraction more of my Holy Power descend."
Renata spoke slowly, transmitting her voice to the Covenanter, Gunther, through the Golden Rule Bible.
Angels are servants of God, as are the Clergy, both being servants. Angels, by virtue of their proximity to God, have a far higher status than the Clergy.
But once a member of the Clergy possesses the Golden Rule, their status changes markedly.
Like Gunther, holding the Golden Rule Bible, he could summon angels to the human world and issue commands, with the angels unable to disobey the Golden Rule, and thus unable to disobey his orders.
From this perspective, Gunther’s status was higher than that of an angel.
Conversely, when possessing the Golden Rule, the Clergy in the eyes of angels was a tool, and when necessary, angels could sacrifice the Clergy to maximize their powers in the human realm.
Gunther did not refuse, enduring the dizziness from his drained mind, and recited the Golden Rule word by word.
All his energy poured into the Golden Rule, leaving Gunther with no choice but to retract his wings of light. In the high-temperature, arid environment filled with sulfuric fumes, Artley’s protection was the only thing keeping him from desiccating instantly.
Seeing the Archbishop prepared to sacrifice himself, Artley found it especially hard to bear, pouring his Magic Power into the other, easing the pain that Gunther suffered.
Unfortunately, what Gunther lacked was not Magic Power, so no matter how much Artley gave, it was of no use.
The focus returns to Wayne, who, in order to stop the Thousand-Eyed Demon’s suicidal behavior that was detrimental to others yet unhelpful to itself, piloted the Demon Bat up into the high sky.
Its long tail, wielding an unbreakable altar, weaved through the dense net of Death beams with unbelievable agility and ever-increasing speed, unmatched by any.
As the authority of the Lord gradually awakened, the Thousand-Eyed Demon grew even more wary, determined to drag the Demon Bat down to Hell with it.
Thousands of demonic eyes focused on the Demon Bat, as the beams of Death merged into a huge column of light. It thundered, shattering space, and bore unimaginable destructive force as it struck the Demon Bat.
Wayne awaited this very moment, hovering in midair, vigorously flung the altar with a swift motion of his long tail.
The seemingly delicate tail possessed astonishing strength, as the throttled angel could attest; for a moment, she nearly left her head behind, her neck cleaved as she took flight.
The altar, like a cannonball, flew toward the high sky, colliding with the pillar of Death in midair. As the altar shattered completely, the pillar of Death also disintegrated, ceasing to exist.
The Thousand-Eyed Demon paused, this altar...
Seemed even higher-grade than he imagined, far from being a simple instrument for reincarnation.
Wayne didn’t understand either, but he had too many things he didn’t understand and didn’t care. Flapping his wings to gain speed, he blinked and leaped to appear above the Thousand-Eyed Demon’s head.
He raised his hands high, commanding by the name of the Lord for his entire territory to submit. Air currents spiraled from all directions, and in the turbulent atmosphere, a Magma Greatsword, over a kilometer long, was brought over from the Flaming Sea.
The massive sword lacked an edge on either side, more like a red whip. As the Demon Bat’s hands ferociously drove down, the Magma Greatsword broke through the air with a thunderous noise, carrying infinite weight as it smashed down on the back of the Millipede.
At the moment of contact, the black chitinous shell turned scalding red, and the pungent stench spread rapidly in the intense heat.
The Millipede twisted its body and shrieked piercingly as a segment of its body melted and burned through, falling towards the Flaming Sea.
