The spear’s tip flashed instantly, severing the white wrist of the Corpse Demon that was clutching its flesh spear.
"Why did you take so long, was there a problem with the plan?"
Artley’s legs were numb, and with Gunther’s help, he struggled out of the deep pit to see the angel focusing all of the Holy Light’s power into the spear, aiming to eradicate the Corpse Demon in one fell swoop. He hastened to shout out.
"Don’t use the Holy Light, it’s a gluttonous Familiar, not an ordinary alchemical creature, it will devour the Holy Light as food!"
Artley was only halfway through his sentence when the angel’s mighty strike was already unleashed.
The radiance hit the Corpse Demon squarely, the Holy Light Array spread beneath its feet and a ten-meter wide pillar of light shot up into the sky, constructing a majestic Crucifix approximately a hundred meters high.
The Corpse Demon wailed pitifully in the light, calling for its mother in pain. With the prior successful attempt, it tried to devour the Holy Light to make itself stronger.

The Corpse Demon managed to swallow only a mouthful before its belly’s red lips disintegrated and vanished, its huge body blurring under the impact of the Holy Light.
By the time the majestic Crucifix faded, the Corpse Demon was no more.
After unleashing her powerful move, Renata looked at Artley with confusion. It seemed he had been speaking to her just now, but she had not heard clearly. Could he repeat it?
