CHAPTER 43

At Bonnie's school, Nicholas kept staring at Bonnie's empty seat, wondering why she wasn't in class yet.
Is she sick or something? He thought.
He concluded he'll go check up on her later to know what the issue was. The Bonnie he knew never misses school.

The students were in class as their Physics Teacher, Mr. Adams, addressed them about the science Fair which was to be held in few days times.
Some students were agitated while some, like Elena and Peter weren't ready at all.
Elena glanced back and stared at Sarah who was painting. Sarah raised up her face to meet her gaze too, they stared at each other for a while before Sarah finally buried her face back to what she was doing.
Sophia kept stealing glances at Peter who didn't take any notice of it.
#Your new girlfriend has been staring at you all through the class.
Alex texted Peter as Laura tried to peep at what he was texting but rather, he covered his phone so she wouldn't see, making her scoff.
Peter's phone beeped as he picked it up, checking it out. He turned to glance at Sophia who was still smiling and staring at him.
Mr. Adams stopped talking as he went out of the class to meet their form master with a boy in his early 20's. They talked outside for a while before their form master, Mr. Adams and the boy walked into the class.
"Hey guys, you have a new classmate, Chris Liam.
"Say hi to him" their form teacher said as they said hi to him whilst he introduced himself.
"Oh my God" Laura said staring at his grey eyes and pink full lips, seems he's been doing some workout because his biceps and muscles gave him away.
"Hmm, so hot" Rhoda muttered as he walked inside the class, finding it difficult to decide where he would sit.
"Please sit here" girls murmured as their Form teacher left the class.
"Can I seat here please?" He asked Sarah as he walked up to her sit.
Sarah stopped drawing and looked up at him, his curly black hair falling at each sides of his ears. She stared at him for a while and resumed what she was doing.
"That girl is a mute!" Thelma yelled at him as the class laughed.
"Hey guys! Stop it!" Mr. Adams scolded them.
"Yh, why don't y'all admit it that your mayor's daughter is a mute?" Thelma added making the class laugh while Mr. Adams sighed out of frustration.
"Just leave her alone please, she just doesn't like much people around her" Elena told the boy who nodded.
"Ok? Maybe I should just seat next to you" Chris said and sat next to her as Elena shrugged.
"Yh, ok" she said and faced her front whilst Chris kept staring at Sarah.

It was lunch break and the Freaks were on their normal table.
"Oh my Gosh, is it just me or that new guy is a total demi god? He's so hot on that curly long hair. I hope he noticed me soon enough. I'll start putting on makeups from now on" Laura whined as Alex dropped the tray of cheese on the table with cups of cappuccino.
"Yeah, I must confess. He's cute" Elena said picking up a cup of cappuccino sucking from the straw.
"I can't wait to introduce myself to him" Laura squeaked as they saw Sarah walked up to her normal table. She dropped her books on the table and stared at it.
After some minutes, Chris walked into the cafe and went straight to Sarah, he whispered something to her that made her angry.
"Guys, look at that!" Elena said observing this as they all observed too.
"Do you think they know each other?" Laura asked feeling jealous.
"I don't know. But I think whatever he told her, she doesn't like it" Peter said as Sophia walked up to their table
"Hey guys" she said interrupting them.
"Hey Sophie"
"Hi Sophia"
They said not so interested in her except Peter.
"So, are you free today? Wanted us to start something with the project stuff" she said.
"Ok, sure" he said.
"So.. By 5 then" she said as he nodded.
"Yh, five" he smiled as she smiled too and left.
"I don't know if it's just me, but I think I don't like this Chris of a guy" Elena confessed.
"Hey come on. He's so lovable, just look at him and he's new. Remember you can't build up Rome in one day?" Laura said as they watched him leave the cafe through the back exit door.
"Ok, that's strange. He just came to this school today and he knows where the cafe secret door is. Great!" Alex said sucking from his cappuccino.

School was over that day as Elena prepared to go meet Sarah so they'll talk about the science project. They had few days left, she doesn't know how they were gonna do about it.
The taxi stopped at the front of the Bellos apartment as she knocked on the gigantic gate.
The gate was opened by Agent Zoe who smiled at Elena.
"Nice to meet you again, little miss" she said.
"The pleasure is mine" Elena replied as she entered the building.
"Miss Sarah awaits you in her room" Agent Zoe said as she led the way inside.
Elena walked into the fancy sitting room and met Mr. Bellos, for the first time in her life.
Agent Zoe bowed at Mr. Bellos and left.
"Good day Mr. Bellos" Elena said to him as he dropped the glass of liquor he was holding on a mini stool.
"And you are?" He asked trying to recall where he met the little girl.
He walked up to her, placing his right hand inside his pocket.
"Elena Gilbert" she said as he smirked.
"So I finally met Ruth's daughter huh? It is you" he said as he walked round her.
She doesn't know why she felt so terrified at how the Mayor talked.
"You're friends with my Sarah?" He asked as she nodded.
"What a coincidence. Sarah never makes friends" he said as they heard footsteps from the staircase close to Sarah's room.
They looked up, seeing Sarah climbing down the staircase with a frowned expression.
She walked up to Elena and her dad as she frowned at him.
"Hey what? I didn't do anything" Mr. Bellos said to Sarah who eyed him seriously.
Sarah held Elena by the hand and went upstairs with her. Elena was shocked too, because that was the first time Sarah is ever holding hands with her.
"Nice to meet you Little Miss Gilbert" The mayor said and smirked as Sarah banged the door behind them.
"Hey Sarah, what's wrong? We were just talking, he doesn't mean any harm" Elena said to Sarah who wasn't even listening to her.
Sarah handed her a picture which she took and examined.
"What? You want us to create a time machine for the science project?" Elena asked looking at the picture Sarah showed her.
"How are we gonna do it? It would take months to make a time machine and that stuff is meant for experts and genius not some high school teenagers" Elena complained as Sarah opened the stuff she covered with her duvet, revealing a halfly built mini time machine.
"Oh my God" Elena said as she stared at it.
"You've been working on it all these while?" Elena said touching it as she saw some stuff encoded in languages.
A knock was heard from the door as Sarah went for it. Agent Zoe handed her a carton which she took and went back inside.
She dropped the carton on the floor and opened it, revealing some tools that were needed to complete the time machine.
"Whoa, way to go" Elena said as she watched Sarah built the time machine.
There was some moments of silence as Elena knee hugged herself beside Sarah who was working tiredlessly on the time machine.
"Sarah, i know you were drawing something in class today" she started but Sarah kept doing what she was doing.
"I mean no harm, but I don't know if you would--" Elena stopped as Sarah pushed her drawing book to her.
"You want me to open it?" Elena asked Sarah who wasn't paying attention, rather, was busy with the time machine.
"Ok, I'll take that as a yes"
She opened it and flipped to the last page as she saw the picture of a man in his late forties with bald head, and the suit perfectly fitted on his shoulders.
Beside the drawing was the name, JEFFERY LOGAN.
