CHAPTER 42

"Wait wait wait, don't tell me you made out with Sophia already" Elena said as Peter smiled and sat on the couch, next to Laura.
"Oh My God!" Alex said as they all burst out in laughter.
"Don't you think you guys are going a little too... Fast?" Laura asked as Peter shrugged.
"Yh, I thought of that too. But things happened just too fast. Before I could say Jack, we both were naked on the bed" Peter said making Alex laugh.
"Oh My God, I wonder how many people Bryan has told that we had sex. Seriously?" Elena said standing up from the sofa.
"Hey come on, we are best friends that's why he's telling us!" Alex said as Elena chuckled dubiously.
"Trust me, Bryan had best friends too. So you can imagine" she said not smiling at all.
"Yh, whatever, where's Bonnie? I've got a gift for her" Peter said as Alex pointed towards her room.
"So.. Are you guys dating already?" Laura asked Peter who huffed.
"Not yet. We're just taking things slow. And I'm sure the sex, was just a mistake. History won't repeat itself" he said walking towards Bonnie's room.
"She might be asleep, she was having a headache before she went up to get some sleep" Laura told him.
"I'll just drop what I brought on her counter then" Peter replied.
Fay and Alex kissed as Elena who was standing next to the TV scoffed.
"What now, are you guys like a couple now?" She asked but didn't get any response from them as they kept kissing.
"Ok? I'll take that as a yes" she focused on the TV as she changed the channels while Laura was taking out some drinks from the fridge.
"Shit! No soda!" Laura said and slammed the door of the fridge.
Peter knocked on Bonnie's door as she wiped her cheeks and sniffed.
"Come in" she said with a choking voice as she pushed the magazine under her pillow.
"I thought you would be asleep. Was told you were having headache" he said walking inside the room as he sat on her bed.
"Have you taken pills?" He touched her forehead to feel her temperature as she removed his hands.
"Just stop pretending you care about me" she said and sniffed as he observed her.
"Were you crying just now?" He removed the strands of hair from covering her face as she removed his hands again.
"It's about Sophia right? You heard our conversation didn't you?" He asked as she kept mute.
"Bonnie, please don't make this hard on yourself. Both of us can't just happen. You're just like a kid sister to me and besides. You're way too young for me. I'm 21 and you're just 9, what you feel for me is just a crush, you can't love someone that's way older than you" Peter said as she scoffed.
"I'm just like a sister to you? That's a lame excuse" Bonnie spat out.
"Bonnie, I watched you grow right from when you were a toddler" he said.
"Just cut the crab Peter, just stop it. And let me remind you, I'm not your sister. The last I checked, your last name is Parker and mine is Bennett, so can you please tell me how we are related?" he kept mute.
"Yh sure, you can't. You're just using the sister and sibling stuff as a cover up" she blurted out.
"There's nothing like cover up Bonnie, you're just too small for me" he said as she smirked.
"Age is just a number. It doesn't matter in true love" she said.
"True love? What do you know about true love?" He asked her rhetorically.
"At least I know true love never dies. I started loving you right from when I opened my eyes. Right from when I was 6 till now. But still, that feelings for you never goes away" she said and sniffed as he imagined himself being with her but he couldn't.
All his life, he had watched after her like a kid sister and not a girl. Why would she want to make this the hard way.
"Is it the makeup she wears? I can start wearing makeups too if you want" she said and cleaned the tears rolling from her cheeks.
"Bonnie please stop it. Just stop it. Stop making this hard on yourself. No one said anything about makeup, you're beautiful just the way you are" he said.
"Then why did you choose her over me? I've been there always, loving you. But.. But" she broke down in tears sobbing.
Peter stood up from the bed because he hates seeing her cry, if only she would understand things from his own perspective.
"Bonnie, youre too little and cute for this. Just stop hurting yourself and let go. Love should be a mutual feeling, not one sided" he said as he made to leave but stopped.
"Here's that lipstick from the mall" he said as he dropped it on her counter and walked to the door.
"Peter" she called out to him as he stopped and dropped his hands from the door knob.
"I hope it wouldn't be too late before you realize yourself. Because by then, I wouldn't be there anymore" she said without stealing a glance at him.
She just heard the door crack, and then he was gone.
She climbed down from her bed as she walked to the bathroom, she stared at her reflection on the mirror and washed her face.
"I'm going to let you go Peter. If you're mine, you'll come back" she said to her reflection as she walked out of the bathroom.
She went back to her counter and took some aspirin to reduce the pains she was feeling on her head.

"Hey, is she asleep yet?" Fay asked Peter as he walked down the staircase with a sad expression.
"Nope, she's wide awake" he said bluntly.
"Let me go check up on her" Fay said standing up and Alex wouldn't leave her grip.
"Hey you better let me go, let me go do my job" She said playfully to him as they both laughed.
He kissed her the last time before letting her go as she walked up to her room.
Bonnie was just staring at the lipstick Peter brought for her as a flicker of tears dropped from her eyes.
"Why is it so difficult for you to love me back" she muttered to herself as she heard a knock at the door.
She wiped her tears and dropped the lipstick under her pillow.
"Come in" she said as Fay opened the door, walking in, she closed the door behind her.
"Hey, how you feeling?" Fay asked her as she walked up to Fay and hugged her making Fay go numb.
"Can I stay like this for a while?" She asked with teary voice as Fay patted her head.
"We can stay this way for as long as you want" she said making Bonnie sniffed.
"Now don't cry ok? Whatever that's making you cry is gonna be ok" she assured.
"I hope so" Bonnie said sniffing as Fay placed her hand under the pillow as she felt something.
She slowly drew the magazine outside and read the title without Bonnie noticing as she got the clear picture. She now understands why she was crying.
"Can I come over to your place and stay for a while please?" Bonnie asked with choking voice making Fay go numb.
"I just wanna come clear my head off some things. I promise not to be a pain in the ass" she said.
"Ahh, it's ok by me and my Aunt Analice would be so glad to have you around. Even her children would so much love you because you're so adorable. But the thing is, your dad. I don't know if he's gonna like it" Fay confessed.
"Leave my dad to me. I'll deal with that" she said and disengaged the hug, picking up her phone , she dailed her dad's number.
"Then I guess I better start packing few of your things then" Fay said going to her closet as she brought out a mini bag that looks like a doll.

Alex was set for school, he doesn't know why he feels so happy and relieved.
Oh of course, Bonnie was gone, the pain in his butt. He brought his phone from his pocket to call his girlfriend.
After dialing her number, he placed the phone on his left ear.
#Hey babe. WhatsApp.
# Good morning " her voice spoke.
#Do you have any plans today?" He asked.
#Yh, my aunt would be away and I have lots to do at home with the kids" she said.
# Ok then, I guess next time" he said as she nodded.
# How's she doing? She's not giving you any trouble right?" she chuckled.
# Good morning to you too Alex!" Bonnie yelled from over the phone making Fay laugh.
# you never told me that twig was nearby" he said playfully.
#I heard that!" She screamed as he heard some crashing sound in the house.
#Sorry" Bonnie said to Fay and Alex happened to hear it.
#She's troublesome right? You want me to come pick her up?" He asked.
#Oh, no no no, she's just a sweet kid. Don't worry" she said stretching.
#You sure?" He asked.
#Yh. I've gotta go now. I think I have to fix this" she said.
# Yh, fix what Bonnie spoilt" he concluded.
#come on, don't be such a pain in the ass now would you?" She said as he breathed down.
#Ok, I've gotta go to school now. Love you babe" he said.
# Love you too. Bye" she said and ended the call.
A messages popped into his phone as he checked it out.
#Check out the photo I sent you. That project is cool right?"
From Laura.
He smiled and examined the photo and nodded his head.
"We're so winning the trophy in this science fair" he muttered to himself and smiled as he placed his phone back inside his pocket.
He walked out of the mansion as he started hiking to school. He got close to the mall as he heard the sound of running footsteps.
"Hey! Wait up!" Peter screamed from his back as he ran to meet his space
"Oh, hi Peter. What's up?" He asked Peter who nodded as they walked to school together.
"I'm good. Where's Bonnie?" He noticed she wasn't there.
"Ehh, she's gone on a vacation" he said smiling.
"Vecation? It's not even summer break yet" he said as Alex shrugged.
"Yh, the kid said she wanna cool off. Can you imagine? Bonnie of all people. I'm glad she's gone anyway" he said and chuckled whilst they walk to school.
(She left because of me) he thought as his face was casted down, feeling guilty and lost in thought.
