I sneezed and turned my gaze to the front. My eyebrows rose when I realized it was a road leading to the creek.
"D-do you want to go night swimming?" I hesitated to ask him.
I saw how he suddenly looks at me in my peripheral vision. My whole face became hot. You're really random sometimes, Ana.
"I mean... we can cross the creek now. If you don't want to, it's okay—"
"Let's try," he coldly replied to me.
I smiled there. Suddenly, the fear that's enveloping my whole system is slowly fading out. I never spoke again until we reached the creek. I smiled when I saw the water was high and the raft was there too. It was not there when they first bathed here with Sir Anton.
When I put my foot in the water, the coldness it caused all over my body immediately rose. I smiled there. When I looked up for a moment, my eyes widened when Hector suddenly pulled me closer to him and hugged me tightly. His face sank into my neck and there I felt his hot breath.
"Fuck! I thought I'd lost you again. I don't know what I'll do when something bad happens to you again." I heard him whisper as if having difficulty. I can even feel the terror in his voice.
To my great surprise, I could not speak immediately. I just closed my eyes and felt his tight hug. This is why I don't want to see him for a while. Because I knew I would give up right away.
