Damon’s POV
I threw my phone to the floor when I saw what article has been running in the internet. How dare that asshole announced the public that he’s Sunny’s boyfriend. Didn’t I tell him too before that Sunny is my girlfriend?!
And that woman, how dare her agree to that? Does she really like that moron?!
“Damon honey, have you read the news?! It’s all about Sunny and Jared Knight! Did you guys break up? Why didn’t you tell me?!” Mom came running inside my room freaking out while showing me her phone with the damn article again.
“We didn’t break up, mom.”
“W-What? Then what is it? Why is she with that man?”
I heaved a deep sigh. “I don’t know. I’ll talk to her later, okay? That news is probably fake. Maybe the paparazzi just made it up. Sunny is my girlfriend.”
“Oh Damon, please make it clear. Don’t let Sunny be taken away from that Jared Knight. She’s the only woman that I want for you.”
I put on my coat and reached for my phone from the floor. “I’m going now, mom.”
“Take care, honey. Please don’t forget to inform me about it, okay?”
“I’ll go now.”
Sunny’s POV
I caught Damon crumpling a newspaper in his hands as I stepped inside his office. “D-Damon.
I don’t know why but I really feel so nervous if he hasn’t spoken yet. For sure he already knows about that article. After all it’s all over the internet. Even Mira kept on calling me this morning just to ask me if that was true. “Have a seat.” He said without looking at me.

“Wagging your tail to another guy while I’m not around, huh?” he finally looked at me.
“W-What?”
“Do you know that the media also know you as my girlfriend? Every one in your class, in your university, knows me as your boyfriend.”

“Have you forgotten our agreement already? Why are you flirting with somebody else while I’m not around? Is it really fun to be with him? And guess what? You even kissed in a public place! Don’t you really have shame?!”
I looked at him with my brows furrowed. “K-Kissed? Who told you that? We didn’t even kiss!”
“Oh, so just because you didn’t really kiss, already means that you didn’t make a mistake?”
“I-I didn’t say anything like that…”
“You haven’t payed me yet, Sunny. I hope you still remember that. And as long as you can’t pay me, you’ll have to pretend as my girlfriend.”
“I know that, okay? You don’t have to remind me about it. Can you just let me explain first?”
Damon heaved a deep sigh before putting his ass down on his swivel chair again.
“Jared and I are just friends. He just asked me to go to the amusement park and since I was bored, I decided to go with him too. We didn’t know that the paparazzi were able to follow us there.”
“Are you dumb? Of course, they will follow you because you’re with a celebrity! And why didn’t you stop that asshole when he announced that you’re his girlfriend, huh? Because you liked it too!”
My blood boiled by his accusations. “Fine! I liked it! I like Jared! Are you happy now? And by the way, why are you so mad about it as if you’re jealous? I’m not your girlfriend, Damon. We are just pretending! You know what? I don’t even know why I still have to pretend as your girlfriend when my sister is all that you want, right? What’s the point of pretending?”
“That man is just fooling you, nerdy. For sure he doesn’t really like you. He just wants to get you because he finds you interesting. And because you’re gullible, you’re already believing him.”
“How can you manage to say awful things like that to someone? Is that how cruel you are? Because you’re rich, because you’re handsome, because you can fuck any girl that you want, you already think that I don’t deserve to be loved too?!” Tears started to fill my eyes as I looked at him. “Oh well, how can someone be in love with me anyway. How can someone love an ugly nerd like me, right? Is that what you want to say?!”

“Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to clear it all up. I’ll make sure to let everyone know that Jared would never want me someone like me to be his girlfriend if that what makes you happy.”
I took my backpack as I ran outside his office.
“Hey nerdy, c-come back here! We’re not done yet!”
Tears kept streaming down my face while I was walking towards the elevator.
