They say hot spring baths are the best way to relieve fatigue—far better than healing magic—because they relax the body, mind, and soul.
But if you take a bath with an ancient demon rumored to have been a ruthless terror in the past, the experience becomes something even greater.
Rin still looks young and fresh—almost the same age as Anna—despite being centuries older. The fact that she follows me everywhere and has absolutely no shame in bathing with me makes me forget about the grueling training I endured all day.
Relaxing in the warm water, I began washing Rin’s long blue hair, running my fingers through it before gently cleaning every inch of her.
She giggled when I touched her sensitive spots. After I finished, she returned the favor, washing me just as thoroughly.
This was my first time bathing with a woman without being forced into it by my troublesome sister, and it felt really great.
After the bath, I retired to one of the spare rooms in the castle. As expected, Rin stuck to me like a shadow, refusing to leave my side.
As I lay on the bed, finally at ease, a notification from my system popped up.

The system had a point—I didn’t want another situation like when Ivy tortured my mother with the GM. To prevent that, I needed to tame them.
Especially Rin. Given how powerful she is, there’s no telling what she might do. If I tame her, she’ll become bound to me like a servant, unable to act against my will.
It felt like slavery, and I hated the idea, but... better safe than sorry. That didn’t mean I’d treat them like slaves—just that they’d still have their own choices, as long as they didn’t become a threat.
I tapped the [Tame] button for all of them—except for Kelly. She did say she had a husband, after all, and taming her would mean she would refuse to sleep with her husband and belong only to me.
With that settled, I drifted off to sleep.
The next morning was the same as usual—training. Convincing the air that I was superior.
Five days passed, and by now, I could barely lift myself a little off the ground without magic.
"Your improvement is painfully slow," Evelyn remarked, sipping her tea as she sat gracefully in the shade, watching me suffer. "But for a human, I suppose I’m impressed."
I groaned under the relentless sun. "At this rate, I won’t be able to fly anywhere! I can barely get off the ground!"
Evelyn set her tea down and walked over, lifting the edges of her long black dress so it wouldn’t touch the dirt. She circled me, observing my body.
"You have improved. Your physique is starting to look like that of a healthy man." She smirked. "Alright, as a reward for your hard work, I’ll tell you a secret."
I frowned. "A secret?"
"About all living things." She returned to the shade, and I followed, sitting beside her.
"Have you ever heard about spirits, human?" Evelyn asked.
"I guess? People talk about evil spirits and stuff."
She flinched as if I had insulted her.
"There’s no such thing as evil spirits!" she huffed. "Humans blabber nonsense without understanding how the universe works! No wonder you’re all miserable weaklings."
She sighed, composing herself. "Alright, listen up. Almost everything in this world has spirits—spirits of darkness, light, fire, air, and more. They don’t have physical forms; they just exist around us. Only those with strong resolve can communicate with them."
"Really? So... you can talk to them?"
She nodded. "That’s why I can fly. I don’t use magic—I simply show the Spirit of the sky my resolve, and it allows me to soar. The last few days, you’ve been proving yourself. I’m certain the spirits of the sky have seen your efforts. Now all you have to do is ask them to fly."
My eyes widened. "Wait... just ask?"
"In spirit language," she corrected. "You humans call it ancient or forbidden spells, but they’re actually the language of spirits that we demons use. The human world has changed overtime, forcing everyone to use magic by chanting the Goddess’s incantations and those who knew about ancient magic died, leaving this generation of fools."
I nodded. "I see. That makes sense."
"Listen, the stronger your resolve, the better the outcome. I’ll teach you the flight spell, and from now on, whenever you wish to fly, simply chant it."
After that, Evelyn taught me the incantation. I memorized it and finally gave it a try.
"Vah’Serath Elyndor, Zephir’an Sora’thal."
To my utter shock, my body lifted effortlessly into the air!
I hovered, weightless. My control was a bit shaky, but I managed to fly around the castle.
And the best part? It didn’t drain any of my magic!
As I reveled in my new ability, I noticed Rin taking off into the sky—without needing to spend an entire week convincing the spirits like I had!
She followed me into the air, wearing a black hooded jersey to shield her face from the sunlight. We flew around, having fun, but after a while, I descended, feeling as if I’d inhaled all the air in the sky. My stomach churned, and I ran to vomit!
Evelyn scoffed. "Humans truly lack manners." She turned on her heel. "Mphff."
I wiped my mouth and followed her.
"You might be annoying, but... thanks for the lesson. For a brat, you sure know a lot about magic."
"Brat? Brat?!" Lines formed on her forehead.
Before she could blast me, I darted away, laughing.
That’s when Rin suddenly stepped between us, her aura turning pitch black. Her cute eyes darkened with a chilling intensity.
"Kill?" she muttered, tilting her head as she pointed at Evelyn.
"Gosh—NO!" I yelped.
The fact that she still remembers the word "kill" after forgetting almost everything else terrifies me.
She really is dangerous!
Well, now that I’ve unlocked flight magic, it’s time to get to my mission.
And this time, I’m not alone.
Rin is by my side.
