Chapter 15: Enzo wants everything as it was.
My life here is pretty good, I quickly got a job here, and although the salary is not as good as my previous job, I don't need much. Min also goes to a small school in the village, she also talks more than before and also hangs out with other children after school.
I thought that the decision to leave the city and move here was the right choice, here I am not bothered, or pressured by life, and I have even less need to think about how to deal with the tricks of Enzo.
Because the school is quite close to home, Min often goes home with her friends without me coming to pick her up. But everything will be fine until Min returns home holding hands with a man.
As usual, when she returned home, she shouted:
"Mom, I'm back!"
"Come here, mom has already prepared dinner..." My words stopped when I saw the man holding Min.
It's Enzo!
I was so scared, I ran fast and snatched Min from his arms, I frowned in annoyance at Enzo. I tried to leave the city to move here with the sole purpose of getting out of Enzo's sight but now he's here, in my house, so my decision to come back here is actual. is silly.
I shouted,
“What are you doing here? After all, what are your goals? Why do you have to constantly stick to us?”
Enzo looked at me and then scanned everything in the house like a professional appraiser assessing real estate. He watched for a moment, then nodded and said,
"This place isn't bad, this must have been your house before, right?"
I was annoyed with his casual tone:
"So what, if there's nothing else, get out of my house at once!"
“Why do I have to get out of here?” Enzo still said arrogantly.
“I don't want to see your face, let alone your presence. Why do you keep chasing me like that?"
The atmosphere in the house suddenly turned strangely tense, and I stood up straight in a stance wary of Enzo. Enzo's appearance means that he is trying to take away my important things or destroy my house as he did before.
Enzo didn't answer my question, but turned away from another matter:
“Did you cook dinner? Can I stay for dinner?"
I replied emphatically, “No! Get out of my house at once!”
Min heard that and looked up at me, sparkling eyes and an innocent voice:
"Mom, Dad has come a long way to visit us, he hasn't eaten yet."
“How do you know that?” I was annoyed but didn't show it in front of my daughter.
Enzo said, "Yes, I haven't eaten yet and have come a long way to get here."
I'm trying to get this bastard out of the house but my daughter wants to keep him and cooingly says he brought her home. I had to fight mentally for a while, no matter how determined I was, I had no right to stop Min from caring for and seeing his father again even though his father was an asshole and a terrible person.
But in the end, the three of us still sat at the same table and had dinner together, the food on the table was simply not too different from before, nor was the food as delicious as in the high-end restaurants that Enzo frequented. Come, I don't want him to eat what I cook.
In my mind right now, I just hope he gets out of here quickly and never comes here again, the food I cook is delicious but I find it difficult to swallow. Seeing my daughter and Enzo chatting happily like that is very uncomfortable in my heart, if it was before, I would be happy because Enzo took care of her but now is different. The closer Enzo got to Min, the more I feared he would take her away at any moment.
Enzo's gaze suddenly turned to me and he smiled as if nothing had ever happened between us. Enzo's look only made me more disgusted and annoyed, because I had a different view of this man, after all the bad things he did to me I was no longer blindly in love with him and It was he who killed my love.
After Min went up to the room, only Enzo and I were left in the room. I glared at him and got straight to the point:
“What do you want from us, anyway? How did you find this place?”
Enzo sat across from me, looked at me for a long time, and said,
"I put the tracker in Min's pocket and I knew you were here a few days ago."
He smiled and said as if he knew everything I had done and was doing, including wanting to get out of his sight.
I smirked, "Damn it, are you the perverted stalker type?"
But contrary to my speculation, Enzo wasn't angry at all, but just smiled at me cordially and lovingly which made me get goosebumps and upset.
“Can we go back to the way we were before? You're still my wife and I'm still your husband, let's start over, we're still a warm and harmonious family."
I remember he told me the same thing before, I laughed:
“What? Do you want to give me a chance to get back with a rich man like you? Unfortunately, I don't need this alms."
Enzo heard that the smile on his face suddenly became more forced and unnatural:
"I don't give alms, I don't want us to part like this. I think if we keep breaking up like this, Min feels that she doesn't have enough parents."
The more Enzo said one sentence, the funnier I became, it was so ridiculous, I couldn't stop laughing in front of him, laughing at his outlandish statements.
“Enzo, something like you said can never happen. Do you want everything as it was? Funny, I would never let that happen once. You didn't love me before or now, you just wanted to win and that was the only way to satisfy the feeling of possessing and controlling me."
I didn't feel any sincerity from Enzo, his words made me laugh and feel disgusted.
Enzo looked at me without expression, he said nothing but sighed.
I was so fed up with being constantly bothered, I continued:
“Perhaps what I said last time you took it lightly, but I have never changed my mind, you have a lot of money and a lot of boxing. there's no shortage of girls around who don't need to waste time on an insignificant and poor like me. I also want to get rid of you and have a normal life.”
