She kept looking at herself in the mirror for a while until she realized that she didn’t like the cloth that she was wearing. It was too many clothes on her body.
‘He could have got paired the shirt with hot pants or a skirt.’ She mumbled and looked around the room, which was in the shade of white and grey. The curtain and bedsheet were also in a mixture of these two colors. Grey, just like his eyes. Whoever had designed it, his or her choice might be great. Even the painting in the room was so beautiful.
She kept looking at all the paintings until her eyes landed on a painting of a garden full of various colors of tulips and a girl standing in the middle, wearing hot pants and a red shirt. She had left her arms open and was looking at the sun, and all she could see was that girl’s back.
Arabella touched that painting with her fingertips, “Beautiful.”
Whoever had painted that was beautiful. Since she had nothing to do for then, she decided to sleep again. She never knew at which moment she would get back to sleeping on the floor. At the same time, someone knocked on the door.
“Come in; It’s open.” A confident voice escaped her throat before she could have stopped herself.
“Hey!!” A beautiful girl in decent cloth popped her head inside. “I hope I haven’t disturbed you.” Arabella raised her brow, trying to understand whether she was really nice or acting to look nice. Arabella’s face was half burned, but not once did the girl in front of her make her look uncomfortable.
“I’m Freya, one of the nurses in the pack hospital.” She introduced herself, and that was when Arabella showed a box in her hand. “Alpha told me to change your dressing and give you the medicines.” She explained.
Arabella simply nodded and let her do her job. She observed Freya, who seemed like a nice girl to her. She gave her a warm smile every time their eyes met. “Until when will this be fine?”
“Maximum ten days, as you don’t have a wolf,” Freya responded. “Here!!! Your medicine. You will feel a little drowsy after having it. So, I will suggest you rest as much as you can.”
“Can we talk?” Arabella asked. She wanted to know where she was and also among what kind of people she was.
“Yeah!! Sure.” Freya said.
“Where am I right now?”
“You’re in Black Alder Pack.” Arabella nodded her head at her response. Short and simple. It made her realize that Freya didn’t have a habit of talking nonsense.
“And what are you? I mean, what is your rank here?”
“I’m an Omega.”
“An omega? And you’re a nurse?” Arabella asked, trying hard to digest it.
“Yes!!” Freya replied and looked at Arabella, who looked like she wanted to know more, “In our pack, Omegas aren’t treated as prey or a nobody. Though we are physically weak but Alpha Miller made sure that we will become strong enough to become independent people. Here, we are valued and treated equally and, most importantly, with respect.” She added.
Arabella could say that she was telling the truth; the glow, the happiness, the tone, everything was a big sign that this omega was happy in this face.
“No one force you to.. I mean…”
“No!! Not as long as you are interested. That’s an individual choice, so that say anything on that.” Freya said, making faces because she wasn’t fond of men or women sleeping around willingly like a whore. “But here is a still rule for all the omega. They have to work and earn money to stay independent if they don’t want to study.”
“They are allowed to study?”
“Yup!! This is heaven for a weak wolf like us. When you will be fine, then I will show you around.” Freya offered her.
