Lucas
I am in the office. It was already 5 pm. I brought Luke here because I didn't have time for him. I always drowned myself to work.
Luke was with Rosaline, his nanny. She was guiding him to walk cause my baby was starting to learn to walk now. He needed protection in case he falls.
I was just finishing this paperwork and contracts. Leticia texted me that she is going to meet me here. She will introduce me to someone. I didn't know whom but I didn't care at all.
Some cheap girls... I guess.
After I finished my errands. I pressed the intercom and called Rosaline to bring Luke here.
A knocked echoed in my office and I told them to come in.
Rosaline came in with Luke in her arms.
"Let Luke walk up to me," I ordered. She nodded and guided Luke to step on the floor.
"Come to daddy, baby," I said softly.
Luke smiled slightly, walking towards me. He was about to reach me but he got out of balance.
“O-oh…”
I am still glad he reached me half of it.
I got up and went over to him then picked him up.
"How's my son doing?" I kissed his forehead and he clapped his little hands.
I knocked interrupt my bonding with my son.
Sabrina peeps at the door; I raised an eyebrow for her to continue.
"Sir, your sister is here." She informed and I just nodded while soothing Luke's back.
I heard my sister stilettos tapping on the floor becoming louder and louder.
She looked at me teasingly. "How are my dear brother and my baby Luke?" She asked sarcastically.
I looked at her but someone in her back caught my attention more. I cannot fully see her yet, Leticia was blocking her I knew it was a girl.
"What do you need? " I snapped not wanting to talk playfully.
I am tired.
"Your soon to be wife is here." She said and moved out of the way.
"You can take a sit," I said blankly.
I saw the girl had long black hair, Black eyes twinkling, and looking sexy as damn.
Did I think that? I shook my head quickly.
Darn.
"Girls are gold-digger. Remember Lucas? " I scolded myself inside.
"Stop drooling," Leticia said and winked at me.
"I did not." I huffed. ‘I just looked at her to be sure, she is decent.
Looks are deceiving.
"Sure you are not." She replied sarcastically while eyeing me you-are-.
"What do you want?" I snapped. She is not going to let this go if I did not stop.
She put her hands on her hips. "Yeah so... I am here to introduce to you, Aria. You are going to marry her tomorrow." She said straight to the point. I looked at the girl named Aria. She was looking down.
"Whatever." I dismissed.
"Don't be like that." She growled and I glared at her.
"What do you want me to do kneel down at her and thank her. Hell no!" I bursted out.
I heard her sighed, rolling her eyes on me, and whispered something to Aria.
Luke changed his position looking at them and clapped his hands.
"M…mo-mmy…" He squealed and clapped his hands. He rarely does this and the smile he was wearing was reaching up into his ears.
He really needs this.
"Hi, Luke." Aria's voice making me look at her unwantedly. A very heavenly voice of her.
Not bad.
"See," Leticia said and grinning at me. I rolled my eyes.
"Aria that is Luke's father. Lucas Wighten." She said, pointing at me.
I gave her a curt nod.
"Nice to meet you, can I hold Luke?" She said politely.
I nodded.
"Rosaline give Luke to her," I said sternly. Rosaline stood up and got Luke from me.
"Aria, that's Rosaline." She pointed to Rosaline. "Luke's nanny. In case you needed her, she is with you and will do what you said, " she added.
I huffed. My sister was really getting on my nerves. She is letting a girl rule my son's nanny.
Aria picked Luke from Rosaline and carried him in her arms. Luke giggled and smiled. I never knew my son could smile like this and for the person, I didn't know.
"M..mo-mmy," he spoke cutely. Aria cooed him and kissed his forehead.
Luke circled his arms to Aria's neck. She is really pretty.
"Aria, excuse us, we are just going to talk. Me and LUCAS." Leticia informed Aria and me, hardly saying my name.
She nodded and started to play again with Luke.
Leticia mouthed me "where". I mouthed her to “follow me”.
I stood up and walk past them. I could feel Aria stole a glance at me. I didn't turn to look at her. What for? She is like the girls who are in for money.
I walked to the conference room.
Once we enter, Leticia slammed the door shut.
"What?" I asked confusingly.
"Is she fine for you?"
"It's alright, I think she is good for my son," I said boringly.
"Good to know…get married tomorrow. She will stay at your house and she will not go to work. I already informed her about the things, she needed to do and not to do." She explained.
"I won't do anything further. It's already up to you, talk to her if any things you want to discuss like packing things or anything." She added.
I flexed my neck and stared at her.
"How much did you pay her? " I asked. I knew there is an exchange for this arrangement.
"I paid her father's debt." She said boringly like my tone.
See... I knew it from the start.
"Gold digger," I muttered under my breath.
"She is not and don't hurt her Lucas. I am warning you." She snapped seriously and I nodded irritated. "I am not messing around with you."
I loosen my tie and opened the two buttons of my suit.
"Fine, anything else?"
She shook her head no and I nodded.
"Let's go back."
We left the conference room and walked back to the office.
I heard Luke's baby laughs.
"You can go home and get ready for everything, after the event tomorrow. You will stay with me." I said harshly. I opened up my arms to get Luke but he hugged Aria tightly.
"Go to your daddy, Luke. Mommy will be back tomorrow." She said softly, kissing his forehead.
Thanked God. Luke let me pick him up. She is not that bad.
"I am going." She said softly and stood up.
"Let's go Aria. Let's party first before you get married tomorrow " Leticia said, changing the mood.
She already planned again.
"Bye brother and bye Luke. " She walked and kissed Luke's cheeks.
I nodded at them and they left in no time.
I sat on my swivel chair.
"Are you happy baby Luke? You have a mommy already." I asked my baby.
He smiled in return and clapped his small hands.
"Sir, Luke needs his milk. " Rosaline reminded and I offered my hand for her to give me Luke's bottled milk.
I laid down Luke in my arms and he started sucking his bottled milk. He never experienced breast milk.
I ran my thumb through his forehead lulling him to sleep.
