Alexa walked back to Anderson's room with her heart thumping loudly and started working.
Preoccupied with the sheets, her mind drifted off to what Anderson had muttered before she was completely out of earshot.
...
"But I'm gonna wife you soon"
...
"What the heck did he mean by that?"
Alexa thought as she dropped the bed spread in the hamper she found in the bathroom.
Taking a bucket in her hand and filling it halfway with water and powdered soap, Alexa drifted back to her thoughts.
After hearing what she was sure Anderson hadn't intended her hearing, she was scared, but happy at the same time.
She could understand why she was scared, but why the fvck did she feel happy partly?
'Oh Lexie... You're falling for him.'
That familiar voice erupted from within her, but this time excited.
"Shut up! I don't."
Alexa said in defense as she washed the sink in the toilet and poured clean water on it to rinse the lather away.
'But the fast thumping of your heart says otherwise.'
Her mind argued with full conviction.
"Keep quiet!"
Alexa mumbled firmly.
'No, I won't.'
"Why's it at moments like this you keep popping in my head and saying stuff?"
Alexa bitterly asked.
'Because I'm that part of your heart that deals with your emotional life, and the one that's taking a huge chunk of your emotional life currently is your love life.'
That voice replied.
"Ha! Love life? You don't know what you're saying."
Alexa huffed trying to convince herself with all her wits that she wasn't falling for any damn person.
'Yes my dear... Yes. You're at a stage in life when your hormones begin to attract towards a person, and I'm here to guide you through it.'
"And what makes you believe confidently that Anderson is the one I'm to be attracted to?"
'To be? Oh no hunny, you're attracted to him already. Just that you don't see it yet.'
"Thanks for realizing... I don't!"
Alexa said as fast as she could.
'Don't forget... I'm you, and you're me.'
"Hush! Get off my mind."
Alexa commanded and removed her mind from that voice, before focusing it on something else.
Holding a soft sponge soaked with lather water in her hand, Alexa turned to one of the walls to scrub it, but she'd cleaned the whole bathroom... Including the bathtub without realizing it.
"Wow... I'm done with this."
Alexa muttered amazed.
Looking back at the interior design of the bathroom, Alexa realized the bathroom was big and wide.
How she'd finished it up without realizing it was surprising and she didn't fail to show it.
"Wow!"
Then she realized suddenly... She owed this fast spirit to the voice that had kept her company.
"Thank you!"
Alexa muttered and smiled before going back into the bedroom to arrange it.

Noting when Alexa left my play station room, I removed my headset, turned the chair I was seating on around, and sat... Facing the door she'd left from.
A smirk settled on my face as I allowed my mind drift back to when she first arrived here this morning.
I was happy when I saw her standing in front of my house, but when she said she was going to leave and turned her back to me, making her way towards the exit door... I got mad.
Remembering that particular incident, my smirk disappeared and a frown replaced it.
I certainly don't know why, but I hated the thought of her leaving, I don't even want her to leave my house ever again... But then again, there's her sick brother.
You may be asking how I knew about her Junior brother right?
Well, since the time we met in that restaurant, I had the urge to meet her again, and coincidentally, we bumped each other in the cemetery.
After that meeting in the cemetery estate, I took it as a sign that fate had given me the chance to right my wrongs, and I so wanted her, I got one of my men to start stalking and reporting everything she does.
So that day she'd come to my house telling me she'd accepted to work for me, I already knew she was coming.
Everything that happened later on that day, I got the info from the guy I placed in charge of stalking her.
I went to the hospital the next day and went to meet with the doctor in charge of Jace.
She told me Alexa hadn't dropped any phone number when leaving, so I dropped mine, paid for his surgery which was scheduled next week and left.
Yesterday's evening, I ringed the hospital up and told the nurse to deliver Jace's drugs to their house today.
But things aren't turning out quite like I thought.

I stood facing the big glass window in my room and a smile crept up my face as I gazed upon the beautiful scenery in front of me.
My house was built on an island, and the scenery here was so wonderful.
"Hey my little munchkin."
Someone called out to me, and startled I turned to the direction of the voice.
Seeing it was my dad, I breathed out in relief and plastered a smile on my lips.
"Hey dad."
"What're you doing here alone?"
My dad asked dressed up in a blue tuxedo, which pointed that he was leaving for work.
Oh did I forget to tell you?
This isn't my house per se.
Its my Dad's.
"This is my room, dad."
I rolled my eyes at him playfully and a laughter erupted from him, it was so infectious... I had no other choice but to join him.
"I always forget that. I'm not used to having my little munchkin around looking so grown up."
He said.
"I know dad. You'll get used to it."
I replied him.
"How's your mom doing over there in Britain?"
My dad asked.
"She's doing well Dad. She sent her greetings."
I said and the smile on my dad's face faded, but he replaced it back fast... Though this time, the smile was hurt.
My dad and mom got divorced over five years ago, and my mom being a British lady went back to her country and settled there.
Dad was still obviously hurt from it all, but I'd suggest he move on because mom was already dating another man before I came back to America.
"Alright. I'll be leaving now."
My dad fixed his glasses on his eyes and smiled at me.
"Be well at work Dad."
I wished him sincerely, then crossed over to him and gave him a kiss on his cheek.
Just as he turned to leave, he turned back at me.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you. I'm meeting with Simon Green today."
"You mean Anderson's father?"
I asked surprised.
"Yes. See you later."
Dad said and with that, he was out.
"Well, since Dad is meeting with my soon to be dad, the daughter shall also meet the son."
I said with a triumphant smirk on my face.
Hurriedly, I went to take a shower.
