"Alexa, wait."
Anderson called as he chased after Alexa.
"What do you want?"
Alexa asked in a tired tone.
"I just wanted to apologize on behalf of my Dad."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah."
"You brought me here without telling me the reason why, blackmailed me into accepting to marry you, pushed me to stand and give a speech in front of people I've never met in my life..."
Alexa gasped and paused a bit to catch her breath.
"... Not only that, I got insulted by your Dad and you didn't say a single word to him. Here you are now, standing in my face and telling me what? Sorry?!"
Alexa asked sarcasm resounding in her voice.
"Look, I couldn't do anything because I don't have the power to."
Anderson said.
"No wonder I saw some of your posters in a trashcan once. I guess the people who threw it there and I have one thing in common - seeing you as trash! Though they saw it before I did, huh! I'm with them now."
Alexa coolly said.
"Look, that's enough."
Anderson sighed.
"I wonder what you are. Daddy's little puppy? The puppy that wags its tail when daddy bids it wags?"
"Alright, that's enough!!!"
Anderson yelled sternly.
"What? You afraid of some little truth?"
Alexa taunted.
"See, it's not my fault. I'm treading lightly on this issue because my inheritance depends on it."
Anderson lamely explained.
"Oh... That means I'm right then. Daddy's little puppy. C'mon, wag your tail for me now... I'm your new daddy. Oh, I'm female! I mean new mom..."
Alexa spoke halfway before Anderson slammed her on the wall and put his lips on hers.

I was really mad when I walked out of that hell they called a conference room.
I had no intention of waiting on Anderson whatsoever, but when he started calling after me while chasing my heels ...
... I decided to play smart.
I figured during the little while I was in that room that Anderson barely spoke up and termed it his weakness, so 'I might as well use it against him.'
I thought.
And it worked.
Taunting him using his weakness and watching him struggle to stay sane was so delicious.
Not until he roughly held me and slammed me on a wall.
That hurt!
I thought he was gonna talk the living daylight outta me, but instead, he kissed me.
I was shocked, my eyes widened till they could widen no more.
Using that, you could imagine how big my eyes must have looked.
Gosh!
This fool was taking my first kiss away from me.
Gross!
I quickly pushed him off me when my head wrapped around the whole situation.
Sure, I've kissed and received lots of kisses from Jace and some little pecks here and there from my ex, but this idiot went full on me.
Realizing he stole my first kiss (I didn't give him a permit), I raised my right hand and swatted my palm right on his face.
"Hey b!tch!"
Someone screamed and I turned to know who it was, when alas, he/she's palm hit my face.
Looking up, I saw it was nothing but the human that didn't know her place.
"That's for hitting my Anderson!"
She yelled out.
Like I ever cared...
Duh!
"You have no right to hit me."
I looked her in the eyes and said to her sternly.
"Well duh, I do. Anderson's mine."
"Like I'd ever drag a man who can't stand up for himself."
I rolled my eyes at her and that made her furious.
She pushed forward her arms and immediately they got to me, I staggered backward and almost fell if not for...
Wait!
Who the fvck was holding me right now?
I turned and my eyes beheld the most handsome face ever.
It was Anderson!
I quickly brushed him off and settled on my legs.
This b! tch just crossed the damn line.
She fucking pushed me!
I lunged towards her but was surprised when Anderson lunged after her at such a speed I'd never seen before.
"You dare push my fiancée?"
He asked with such rage I had never seen in his eyes before.
"I'm sorry, Anderson. I was just trying to protect you."
She whimpered.
I stood still watching everything going on.
The b! tch was whimpering and begging while Anderson's hands were around her neck, giving it a tight grip and choking the life out of her.
The b! tch darted her eyes towards me and held out her hand, which was supposed to call out to me to intervene, because from the look of things... Anderson would kill her.
But I refused to help her.
Let her suffer!
I said inwardly and plastered a huge smile of success on my face.
"What's going on here?!"
Someone yelled and Anderson let go of Phoebe's neck... Out of fright, I guess.
I looked up to meet a guilt-panged and angry pair of eyes which I recognized immediately.
... Simon!
"Let her go!"
Alexa looked up and met Simon's eyes.
Instantly, Anderson let go of Phoebe and the latter ran to her father's side, gasping for air and trying to breathe.
"What were you trying to do? Kill my daughter?!"
Greg asked while shielding his daughter, making Anderson and Alexa turn to him.
"Oh, Mr. Patterson... If only you have the slightest idea of how badly I want to kill your worthless daughter!"
Anderson yelled, his eyes bloodshot.
Everyone gasped, save April.
She was still amused by everything going on.
What she was yet to understand was whom to stand tall with.
The b! tch she never liked, or the b! tch, who was nothing but a simple commoner?
"Anderson, how dare you?!"
Simon yelled after his son.
"What? I only said the truth, or am I not allowed to say what's on my mind anymore?"
Anderson asked weakly.
"You're not allowed to!"
Simon yelled.
Gosh, this family sure takes delight in yelling at each other.
I wonder if this floor was soundproof, because if it wasn't... Their private issue was already known to their employees.
They yell way too much!
"Well sorry to break through your walls, but I'm not a puppy you can command anytime you wish to."
Anderson said rudely, but coolly.
What happened next placed a pin drop silence and tension in the hallway.
Anderson was holding one of his cheeks.
Did his... Did his Dad just imprint his palm on Anderson's cheek?
"Did you just hit me?"
Anderson asked, anger resounding in his every word.
"Yes, I did. Wanna hit me back?"
Simon challenged.
"What'd you do that for?!"
Anderson yelled, very angry, the heat radiating from him could warm a small-bodied man for about half an hour.
"You were rude! You were never rude! But since this tramp came along... You lost it!"
Greg answered on behalf of Simon.
"I didn't ask you old geezer. I was talking to my Dad and you had no right to interrupt or call Alexa a tramp. The real tramp is the one beside you!"
Anderson fired at Greg, making him shudder a little.
"Shut it, Anderson. Just shut it!"
Simon shut Anderson.
"You know what? Coming to think of it, I quite agree with Greg. You were always obedient, but since that good-for-nothing girl behind you showed up today, you turned opposite."
"Yeah, I did. If what you want me to do is continually wagging my tail to your every whim like April is doing and what Mom did which later pushed her to her death... Sorry old man. Forget I'm your son!"
Anderson talked back boldly.
He spoke with boldness, and Alexa's eyes widened in surprise.
April was surprised too, but immediately she ran over what Anderson had said in her head once again, her face knotted in anger.
"Hey!"
April yelled, to no one in particular, which made everyone turn their faces to her, their brows raised.
"I mean you, Anderson!"
April yelled once more.
"Yes? Sis...!"
Anderson said sarcastically.
"I kept quiet throughout, trying to avoid mentions and stay on my own, but you..."
April said, taking slow dramatic steps toward Anderson.
Stopping right just an inch away from his toes, April rasped on.
"But you always look for a way to get me involved and make me mad."
"Oh does that bother her lady?"
Anderson mocked on.
"Of course it does."
"And you didn't realize it when it was my turn and you were pissing me off?"
Anderson rolled his eyes and chuckled.
"Then, it was fun."
"It's fun to me too."
Anderson said with a huge grin plastered on his face.
Irritated by his grin, April edged closer to Anderson, stood on her toes, placed a hand on his shoulder, and whispered in his ear
"It wasn't fun when you pushed Peter off that cliff."
And with that, she let go of him and watched satisfactorily the pain he tried to hide on his face.
