Melvin's car stopped in front of a building, with several people ready to greet him. Melvin stared at Danas, making the girl's body stiffen. As if the man's treatment of her, made an impression, and made her body react when the man made his heavy voice.
"Don't do anything to embarrass me, or you know the consequences," Melvin threatened. Danas nodded slowly. "Good, be a good boy, or you'll know the consequences," Melvin whispered, again giving Danas goosebumps with the last sentence Melvin said.
Someone had opened the car door, making Melvin get out first. The man, instantly stood by the car door, extending his hand.
There was a hesitation when Danas tried to grab that burly hand, even Melvin smiled, making her a little scared. She clearly knew that the man was forced to smile, to cover everything, and didn't want to get gossiped about their relationship not being okay.
Melvin signaled for his hand to be grabbed by the girl immediately, making Danas alert even though her hands were shaking.
"Be careful, you'll fall," Melvin said softly.
Danas was silent for a moment, her heart throbbing with Melvin's soft voice, even though she knew he was obviously acting.
"I wish you could be like this with me, when it's just the two of us or, can I stop time for a moment, I want to savor moments like this. A moment that is clearly, very unlikely to happen again."
Danas' hand held Melvin's arm, following the man's steps into the building where the party was held.
"Don't even think about it, if I'm really interested in you."
Danas swallowed like she had been taken flying and released from such a high altitude. She was overthinking what was happening.
"I knew it!"
"It's good if you're self-aware."
Several pairs of eyes looked at Danas who was holding Melvin's hand. There were a few whispers, one glance from Melvin made them fall silent.
Their footsteps stopped at a red door. The two people who were in front of the door now opened the door for them.
Everyone stared at the door, wondering who was coming.
The long dress worn by Danas instantly made everyone stare at her. Some of the people who were holding glasses decided to take a sip of their drinks.
"Who's the woman with Mr. Melvin?" someone whispered.
"She's his wife!"
"Wow, so gorgeous. The perfect couple."
"I didn't even know that Mr. Melvin was married."
"He had a private wedding, only a few people were invited by him, so it is normal that not many people know that he is married."
"I see!"
The gaze was fixed on Danas alone as if the girl's charm attracted the attention of everyone in the room. For a moment, the room fell silent, due to Melvin's arrival.
A satin dress, with a cleavage, with straps that hooked over the shoulders, made the girl's upper body visible.
Melvin glanced at Danas, then immediately took off his suit when he realized that several men were staring at his wife.
"Next time, don't wear revealing clothes like this. Only I am allowed to see your body," Melvin said as he put the suit on Danas.
All the men who looked at Danas strangely were now downcast, no one dared to raise their faces, because the man's gaze was so cold, his hazel eyes that were so intimidating to the opponent, so powerful with just his gaze alone, everyone was so afraid of him.
"If anyone still looks at my wife with that kind of gaze, that strange and mischievous gaze, as if they want to strip her naked, I will not hesitate to bankrupt the company."
Everyone could neither argue nor comment on what the Hazel-eyed man said. For all of them, Melvin was very important, not the least of which was the tongue-twisting to get the man's heart and make the man the company's investor.
For a moment, Melvin looked at Danas. "She's so charming today," he thought.
Without realizing it, he began to recognize his wife's beauty. The clothes worn by Danas did print the girl's posture, especially the long dress used made of satin made all eyes stare at Danas.
The rows of drinks that were lined up on the table, some cakes as a complement were neatly arranged, and several waiters gave the drinks brought by them to the invited guests.
Danas took a juice drink, she didn't dare to taste the wine or beer that was offered to her.
The party that was going on, was very luxurious and big, let alone the inauguration of a branch company in which Melvin was an investor.
The man was chatting with a few people, occasionally glancing at Danas who was standing alone near the balcony, his suit was still worn by the girl, and when the wind approached Danas' hair would flutter, revealing the girl's long neck.
As a Javanese descendant, Amber-eyed Danas looked different from the others. How not, the color of her eyes was so beautiful, like copper.
Several men approached Danas, making Melvin who had been watching his wife, choose to leave his client and pull Danas into his arms.
"Don't you know how dangerous it is to stand on the balcony alone, with clothes like this?"

Danas swallowed her saliva, the voice of the man in front of her raised, but there was a tremor of concern there.
"I-I just don't feel at home inside, it's so loud."
"But, I can't see you. What if that man does something bad to you?"
Seeing Danas who was looking down, made Melvin grumble and then pulled his wife's wrist to come with him. Just as they were inside, the lights went out making everyone inside wonder what was going on.
There was a song that now echoed throughout the dark room. A lamp was turned on, making the room appear dimly lit.
All eyes were on Melvin and Danas who were in the center. A host gave directions that the couples were given the opportunity to dance in the center of the room. Nothing happened for a while, between Melvin and Danas. They could only look at each other.
Until Melvin pulled Danas' slender waist closer, demanding that the girl slowly follow the rhythm of the song being played. The distance between them no longer existed.
Danas' heartbeat was erratic, she just put on a tense face, for the first time for her to dance with Melvin Mahameru. The lights dimmed, making the man stare at Danas' amber eyes that had been staring at her.
"What do you see?" whispered Melvin in Danas' ear, making the man sniff the scent of his wife's body.
Melvin didn't know what made his sense of smell want to linger there. Her neck looked so enchanting, with the scent of citrus. Melvin unconsciously kissed Danas' neck lightly.
