As soon as she got off the bus, she ran back. Until finally, she arrived at the school gate, and she saw Gale putting some boxes in the trunk of her car. Tears flowed and wet Natty’s cheeks. She couldn’t help herself one bit. She’s been able to get the girl she’s been missing for the last few days. But the girl was preparing to leave without even saying goodbye.
Natty walks while dragging her already swollen right leg terribly. From that distance she could see Gale’s sad face as she put in box by box. Natty knows very well how much Gale loves her job as an art teacher. The girl she loves always smiles the widest, brightest and looks happiest when she’s teaching.
Natty hugs Gale from behind and lets her tears continue to flow and wet Gale’s back. Gale remembers Natty’s warm embrace, and she realizes that the person hugging her is Natty. She also let Natty hold her longer while rubbing Natty’s grip around her waist. The tears Gale has been trying to hold off have fallen, too.
Gale releases Natty’s grip around her body. She turned around and looked at Natty’s face, already wet with tears. Gale then hugged Natty until the two of them burst their emotions with tears. Tears flowed endlessly replacing goodbyes and other parting words.
Gale also cries out loud, but from the look of her blurred by those tears she sees Natty’s right leg swelled up so. Gale let go of her arms and made Natty sit in the trunk of her car. Gale even ducks down and holds Natty’s right leg and then looks at Natty with her caring gaze.
“What’s going on? How did your legs swell up like this? How long has this been?” asked Gale anxiously.
“I don’t know, I didn’t pay much attention to that...” Natty answered in her voice.
Gale shook her head. She was so anxious that she supported Natty to sit in the front seat. Even Gale kept forcing her to take Natty to the hospital. Natty kept glancing at Gale’s anxious face, she could see how much Gale cared about her. Natty holds Gale’s hand to make it calmer.
Upon arrival at the hospital, Natty was examined and got a handler by a doctor. For more than 30 minutes Gale waited outside feeling anxious. Even though there’s nothing serious, she keeps feeling uneasy. She finally calmed down after doctors said Natty only had to pick up a complete break for a few weeks.
She sits next to Natty, who is still asleep because of the effects of the remaining anesthetics. Gale’s eyes look sultry and sultry when she sees Natty’s right leg wrapped in a cast and hung up. When she visited Natty at home, her leg was only sprained and not swollen at all, but now she has to get a complete break for a few weeks because her leg swells.
Her tears almost flowed as she was deeply saddened to see Natty’s condition, but Gale immediately sorority her tears as she watched Natty open her eyes. Gale doesn’t want Natty to look at it because she knows it’s going to make Natty sad. But Natty holds Gale’s hand until Gale can’t avoid but stares at Natty with her sultry stare.
“Can’t we continue together? We can stay in touch and meet once a month. We still fight for our love, indeed if we have to hide from others. Please, I don’t want to break up.” Natty said, but Gale kindly turned his eyes and shook her head.
“Why can’t we? We just love each other, why is that so wrong? Why can’t we be together even though we love each other?” said Natty while crying.
“Yes, we love each other, and we know there’s nothing bad with that. But out there we’ll always be labeled wrong. They’ll say we’re not normal, judge our love as a disease, and will discriminate against us. Nat, I love you so much. You’re the most precious, amazing person I’ll never forget. And I know what’s waiting up front if we continue this relationship. I just want you to live a quiet life and never get hurt. And this is the only way to do that...” Gale said while staring at Natty.
“Do you ever regret all this?” asked Natty with a sultry stare
“No, even if I go back to that moment... I’m going to stay in love with you and I’m going to keep doing all this. I love you so much, Nat.” Gale then kissed Natty on the lips.
‘There comes a time when what we want and what makes us happy will be judged unacceptable by others. They will judge and do everything so we also feel it is wrong until we give up. We might survive, but not if no one supports and stands by our side.’
