They get to the car and start driving back to Joel’s. She takes out her phone, “Hey sis, Joel wants to know if you would like to come for dinner tonight?”
Samantha yells, “Hell yes. I get to meet him. What time?”
She looks at Joel, “What time?”
“How about 6?”
Kelly asks Samantha, “How about 6?”
“Great. What’s the address?” Samantha sounds excited.
“2238 E. Bluff Rd. It is the big place up on the hill. You cannot miss it. Bye.” Kelly hangs up.
The rest of the drive home, she wonders what Samantha is going to do when she sees her again. “So, how do you think your sister will feel about the two of us?” He stares at her waiting for an answer.
“She thinks it’s awesome. She is so thrilled that we are together. Matter of fact, she met you once at a gallery opening a couple of years back. She said that you were gorgeous.”
“I like her already.” He smiles sweetly.
When they get back, she goes home to change her outfit. She decides to wear a little skirt and a v neck shirt. Looking at herself in the mirror, she approves. Afterwards, she shuts her door and makes her way to Joel’s.
She opens the front door and instantly smells something wonderful. As she makes her way to the kitchen, she sees that he is cooking up something. He has banana bread baking in the oven, stew cooking on the stove and coffee brewing. “Mm. Smells delectable.”
He walks up behind her and smells her neck, “Mm. You smell edible. If we did not have company coming, I would be eating you right now.” She gets a little wet as she thinks about that. He kisses her neck, and she can feel that he is hard when he brushes past her. She gasps.
They hear a knock at the door. Kelly runs to open it. “Samantha, I missed you.” She hugs her.
“Me, too. So where is that handsome hunk of man?” Samantha wonders. “
“I’m right here.” He smiles as he waves at her.
“Joel was just finishing up dinner. Shall we go sit on the couch till he’s done?”
Samantha admires the house, “Yes, definitely. This sure is a huge house. Lots of big windows too.”
She looks down at Kelly’s hand and notices the ruby ring and the diamond necklace around her neck. “What the hell? Did he give these to you?”
“Yes, the necklace yesterday. The ring today. We just came back from there after lunch. He surprised me with it.” Kelly glances at her finger.
“I want surprises like that. Joel is awesome. He’s so handsome, loving and worth millions.” Samantha sounds completely jealous.
“I’m worth millions, so I don’t even think of that, but being handsome and loving, that he definitely is.” She smiles from ear to ear.
“Kelly, you are absolutely beaming. You are so bright that it is hard to look at you. You must be in love. It suits you.” Samantha grins.
“Dinner is ready.” He looks from one to the other. They make their way into the dining room and sit down. Kelly next to Joel and Samantha right across from Kelly. Joel serves everyone dinner. He hands Samantha a plate of stew that smells delicious. “Oh my god, these is wonderful. It’s making me so hungry.”
He then hands Kelly one, “Thank you, Joel. This smells scrumptious.”
After he serves himself, he asks, “Does everyone like it? It’s a secret recipe.”
Kelly and Samantha, both tell him at the same time, “Yes.”
After dinner, they sit down on the couch and talk. “So, Joel. How long have you lived here?” Samantha runs her hands over the edge of the couch as she looks at them hold each other.
He looks at her, “About 2 and a half years now. I wanted to take a break and it ended in a lifestyle change.”
“What about you Samantha? Kelly told me about the date with Ben. How are you guys getting along?”
“Great. I think we are meant for each other.”
Joel kisses Kelly on the ear, “I know how you feel.”
“That’s obvious. I have never seen Kelly beam like she is now.” Samantha laughs.
Kelly touches her arm, “You haven’t seen us in bed, then I really beam.”
“Yeah, I bet.” Samantha winks.
“So, Samantha I was telling Kelly that I can’t wait to meet everyone that is in her life. Her daughters sound so cute.” Joel smiles at Samantha.
“Yes, they really are. I bet they will just love you.” Samantha looks out of one of the big windows at the beach.
“You are going to have to tell me all about Kelly. I want the juicy details.” Joel smiles a very charming smile at her.
“Well, what do you want to know?”
“Did she have any nick names when she was a child?” He kids.
Samantha thinks about it, “No, she didn’t. Sorry.”
Joel continues, “Who did she have her first crush on?”
Samantha laughs, “That’s easy, Peter. She had a crush on him since tenth grade.”
“Did they ever get together?” Wondering, he persuades her to tell him.
“Yes, that was her first pregnancy scare. After that, mom got her the pill.” Samantha laughs again. “When everyone found out she was on the pill, the boys lined up and she rejected them all. Except for John, that was her second crush. They stayed together all through the rest of high school. Afterwards, they got married and I believe she already told you the rest of the story.” Samantha looks at Kelly and then gives her a hug.
“Was she as beautiful as a child as she is now?” He looks at Kelly lovingly.
“Yes, believe it or not. She never was an ugly duckling. She has always had guys fawning over her. Sometimes, she has had to fight them off.” Samantha laughs.
“Really. Come on guys. Enough about me. Tell me Samantha how things are going with Ben. I want to know all the juicy details.” Kelly prods.
“Well, let’s see. We haven’t gone on too many dates, because before we get out the door, he jumps me. So, we just never leave.” Samantha starts to get a little flushed, just by thinking about it.
“Good for you. At least you have a healthy sex life now.” Kelly applauds.
“He sounds like a winner in my book.” He adds.
“Yeah, well the two of you would get along great. I think he might like to meet you sometime. That is, if we ever make it out of the house.” Samantha looks out the window at the sky.
“Well, maybe we could go there. I have never been to your house before. I think it would be nice.” He caresses Kelly’s hair. “Besides, I am interested in anything to do with Kelly.” He kisses her neck, sending a shiver of pleasure down her spine. Samantha watches in awe as she witnesses the way Joel affects Kelly. Every time he kisses her, her body reacts. She secretly wishes it were her being kissed that way.
“Well, I think I better be going. It is getting a little dark and I promised that Ben could sleep over tonight. He is probably staring at the phone just waiting for me to answer. It was nice meeting you and I hope I see you again.” Samantha watches them both as she gets up from the couch.
“Oh, if I have anything to do with it, you will. I plan on being around Kelly for an exceedingly long time. That is if she will have me.” He looks at Kelly with such passion.
“I’m sure.” Samantha looks on as she watches the two of them touch each other.
“All right, before you two get naked, I am leaving. Bye.” Samantha walks to the door.
