As she looks in the mirror at her naked body, she remembers Joel sliding his hand in between her legs. She becomes hot and turns away to grab the dress. Slipping the gown over her head, the silky feeling of the fabric caresses her skin as it closes around her contours. “I need to talk to you. Do you have a minute?” She gets up and strolls back and forth in front of the couch.
“Yes. What is it?”
“I am going to make this short, because I can’t think how to say this any other way. I am not in love with you. You need to move on. I’m sorry.” She hangs up feeling pain in her gut, but she had to do it.
She calls Aaron. He is just getting home from work. “Hi, Kelly. I have missed you so much. I just want to make love to you repeatedly. When are you coming home?” An incredibly quiet humming can be heard over the phone while she tries to summon up the courage to tell him. “Kelly? Are you still there?”
“Yes, I can’t do this Aaron. I am not in love with you. I want you to move on. Goodbye.” She hangs up and feels such deep sadness.
She did not want to end things this way, but it had to be done. She does not love them the way she needs to, even though she feels something for Joel. She does not know if it is love or something else, however she has never felt this way about anyone. So much that she cannot even explain how she feels towards him. Collecting her thoughts, she decides to go to Joel’s.
Seeing his lights on, she walks up to the door. She can hear him playing his piano and singing a beautiful melody. Hoping to hear more she waits outside the door and then is rewarded for her patience with another melody.
Listening, she recognizes the song and softly sings with him. The song ends then silence. After a few minutes have passed she knocks on the door. A familiar smile spreads across his face as he opens the door and stares at her with hunger.
“Please, come in. I didn’t expect to see you so soon.” He steals a glance at her while she walks in, and his mouth starts to water. Her heart pounds faster than it ever have before. “So, I take it you have come to a decision? Sit down and tell me all about it.” He sits down on the couch and pats the cushion next to him. She takes a seat just an inch or so from him, her torso turned towards him with one knee slightly on the couch.
He notices that her dress is slit all the way to her waist on both sides. Making it impossible to wear anything underneath. He gets an awfully familiar feeling in his pants and tries to not draw attention to it, as he waits for her answer.
She looks into his beautiful blue eyes, and she gets lost for a minute before he touches her arm gently. “Kelly.”
“Oh, sorry. Daydreaming again. I told them both that I was not in love with them and that I simply could not go on lying to myself. So, I have decided to stay here till the end of the summer. That way Aaron can have time to cool down and Grayson can move on with his life too.” She pauses.
“There is this new girl that has moved in next door to him. Samantha told me that she is fairly sure that the new neighbor thinks he is hot. Maybe, it will give her time to work her way into his heart. Who knows? Either way, I told both to move on.” She feels a little sadness creeping in. He sees it in her eyes and takes her hand, as he smiles sweetly.
She shakes her head. “Anyway, what were you playing when I walked up to the door? I remember the words but can’t remember the name of the song.” She dares to look back into his eyes as he stares at her. He leans close and whispers it into her ear. Her heart starts to flutter as it does double time, and she cannot stand it anymore.
He leans even closer and kisses her lips softly, then more hungrily as his hand slides up her inner thigh. With nothing to stop them his fingers trail up and into her, becoming sticky with her desire. He slides out and his fingers trail around her folds and then back in.
