Living with an enemy Chapter 111

Sofia. I was feeling pretty good about myself as I strolled down the hallway towards Deangelo's office. I had successfully planted the seed of doubt in the kids’ mind about Elena, and I was sure that they would be giving her hard time henceforth and as for Mia, she would start having doubts about Elena too no matter her loyalty. Hence, Elena would soon be out of the picture, the mere thought of having Deangelo all to myself made my heart race. I could hear the sound of clinking glass and the smell of alcohol wafting out from under the door as I approached his office. I pushed it open to find Deangelo sitting at his desk, he was slumped in his chair, a bottle of alcohol in his hand, and his appearance was disheveled. His shirt was un-tucked, and his hair was messy, but even in that state, he looked incredibly handsome. Despite the alcohol, his eyes still held that spark of intelligence and strength that I admired in him. His defined jawline and broad shoulders made him look even more attractive. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of desire for him, one that always seemed to surface upon seeing him. Deangelo's rugged good looks were always alluring to me, but seeing him like this made my heart skip a beat. The way he looked at me with those piercing eyes, even in his drunken state, made me feel alive. As I looked at him, I couldn't help but imagine how he would look when he was naked and on top of me. I was sure that he would be even more handsome and charismatic than he already was. He had that certain charm that made it impossible not to be attracted to him. He looked up at me, his eyes bloodshot and unfocused. "What do you want?" he slurred. I smiled, knowing that he was in no condition to resist me now. "I just wanted to see how you were doing, Deangelo, are you alright?" I maintained my distance as I did not know what level of drunkness he was at but then I was more than shocked when I saw his eyes became watery and his voice crack as he called out his dead wife's name. It wasn't the first time that people had mistaken me for her, but it still made me uncomfortable. We were similar in size and look, but our personalities and characters couldn't be more different. Deangelo was clearly inebriated, and it made me wonder what had driven him to drink like this. Had something happened that had caused him to turn to alcohol for comfort? It could not just be the fight with his father, that was nothing to make him drink to stupor like this, unless it had something to so with what his father said to him though, because that man had no filter and he does not care about feelings. I could see the confusion in his eyes as he struggled to come to terms with what was happening. Part of me was disgusted at the thought of using his deceased wife's memory to get close to him, but the other part of me knew that this was my opportunity to be near him. When I approached him, he mistook me for his late wife again. He slurred out, "Jules, why are you here? Are you here to mock me? To tell me what I'm doing wrong just like father did? To say that I am ruining everything and thinking with my dick too?" My heart skipped a beat again at what he was saying as I had gotten a glimpse of what conversation he had with his father. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to get close to him. This was my chance to get closer to him and play on his emotions. I moved closer to him, and I could smell the whiskey on his breath. As I reached out to touch him, he moved away from me. I wasn't expecting that, but I quickly composed myself and took on the role of his wife as I started to speak in a soft, soothing voice, "I am not here to mock you, my love, just to guide you and let you know that you are on the very wrong path. You shouldn't have sent your father away like that. The one person who actually needs to be sent away is Elena, she doesn't belong in our pack. She does not belong with you especially." Deangelo's eyes widened as he looked at me, "Is that really you though, Jules? But... you're supposed to be dead." I could see the conflict in his eyes as he struggled with what I was saying. I knew that I had to push harder to get him to see things my way. I continued the charade, "I am always with you, my love. I'm just here to guide you. You can't let Elena come between us, between our pack, between you and your father. She is not the one for you, she is merely a distraction, nothing more." Deangelo shook his head, "I can't do that. I can never let her go, I am sorry but I love her, Jules." I felt my anger rising. He was ruining everything I had planned. I wasn't going to let him off the hook that easily. "You have to do it, my love. That's the only way there will be peace in our home." I touched him, and it seemed to break his trance. Deangelo's eyes narrowed, "Who are you? You're not Jules?" I knew that the jig was up, and I had to think fast. The moment was awkward and uncomfortable as he asked me who I was. I didn't know how to answer him, and the reality of what I had done hit me. I had stooped to a new low and I was confused if he knew who I was and what would happen if he remembered it all after he comes back from this state of his. In a panic, I ran from the room and made my way to my room. I needed to clear my head and think about what had just happened. As I sat there, alone in the darkness, I couldn't help but think about Deangelo's hard body and how good it felt to touch him. The arousal I felt was both exhilarating and beautiful. I had crossed a line that I couldn't come back from, and I knew that I had to just pray that all of these are things he would not remember or risk getting kicked out again. Just as I was about to touch myself, the door burst open, and Elena was standing there, looking at me with a mixture of shock, anger and disgust. What the heck?
