Her eyes flare angrily, but there is still surprise and awareness that I know the truth about Reign now. "Reign will never be your daughter." she spits out in disgust before going upstairs and the men drag me out.
"Let me go! Hey! Let me go!" I struggle and I yell at the men who were pulling me out of my house, but they don't listen to me, neither do they stop until I am brought outside the gate. Without uttering a word to me, they return inside and shut the gate to my face.
I slam my hand hard on the gate yelling "Taylor!!!" at the top of my voice, and "I know you can hear me, we can talk about this, we need to talk about this please!" but no one seems to hear me and no answer comes.
After countless tries and several hours passes, I got exhausted and slowly slide down the gate to the floor, my eyes sore from much crying and my heart pounding harder than it's supposed to. It is a sign that I need to be more careful, but I just ignore it and the need to see or go to his doctor and have it checked out.
I should have seen it coming I should have felt it all along, Taylor was different and I could tell it myself, but I chose to ignore all that. She wasn't the girl I used to know, it was my mistake to think that 'sorry' was just going to return everything wrong all these years. Keenan was right she was still filled with resentment and bitterness towards me and I was a fool not to have noticed all the signs and the handwriting on the wall.
A fool for not wondering why she wouldn't let me touch her, or kiss her longer than ten seconds or hold her hand or even let me be around Reign for too long. She gave excuses for her withdrawal and cited work as one of them and I believed her, I don't even know if I believed her because she was telling me the truth or because that was easier to accept than asking for the truth.
I was foolish not to try and find out what was wrong.
I can't believe I lost everything, but then losing everything doesn't seem to hurt like losing Taylor, the woman I love and losing Reign whom I'm now fond of and I've grown to love and cherish even without knowing she was mine all along.
Reign was mine, not Keenan and she kept me in the dark about the truth just like she did to Reign and probably bullied Keenan into not talking. She wasn't with Keenan four years ago, she was with me and she tried to tell me that over and over and I wouldn't listen.
I cannot begin to imagine how she felt when she found out she was pregnant for me and unable to tell me the truth because I didn't want anything to do with her. I do not blame her for choosing to not tell me about Reign I'd do the same if kept in her shoes.
It's no one's fault, but mine and mine alone.
I buried my head between my legs and I wait as the dark begins to dawn. I don't want to leave partly because this is my house and also because my family is there and I don't know where exactly I'm going to go.
I feel my phone beeping in my pocket and I pick it up and when I see that the ID is Keenan, I let it ring into voicemail and the call soon ends and a few seconds later the phone begins to ring and I let it ring into voicemail again, and again. After the fifth ring, I answer it tired of his persistence.
"What?"
"Man where are you?" he asks and I notice that his voice is worried.
"Leave me alone, Keenan." I hiss out, ashamed and tired.
"I'm coming, Rory," he says straight away.
I roll my eyes, "You don't even know where I am."
He goes silent for a while then start speaking, "I think I can figure that out, you're outside the gate of your house, waiting, hoping and praying Taylor lets you back in." he says, before ending the call.
About a few minutes after the call ended, I see Keenan car come to a stop a little further away from the gate and he gets down and walks towards me.
He's wearing a grey casual T-shirt and black jean, his hair as always shiny red and a little messy.
Once he gets to me, he takes my hand and begins to pull me up from the ground where I sit, saying "Come on, buddy, let's get you out of here."
I hiss and yank it away from him and I help myself up to my feet, "Well, there you go, that wasn't so hard now was it." he says, ignoring my rebellion.
I brush my imaginary dirty trousers, "I don't need your help," I bark out.
"Yeah I can see where that has gotten you," he counters, pointing to the floor where I've been seating. "you've got it all under control the way I see it."
My teeth clench tightly, "Are you mocking me?" I demand with a loud growl.
"Alright, call it whatever you want, but you're getting into this car and we are getting out of here consciously or unconsciously." he put out with a determined look and steps closer to where I am standing.
"You must be-" these are the three words I remember saying before blacking out.
