In my head, Alera starts to claw her way out while I keep on whispering to myself that he lies.
My hand clutched on his ring tightly with my eyes fixed on him.
He kisses her hand smiling at her then leads her to the dance floor.
I stumble back sitting on a nearby chair hiding from everyone.
I try to control my breath as I watch them dancing on the floor with all eyes on them before other lunas and their Alpha's join in the dance.
