Evelyn POV:-
I felt so bad, talking to Lawrence like that. I even lied that people asked me about him, in reality, I left for my room when he left.
I don't want to do this, looking at Lawrence like this is pushing me into a turmoil but I truly want to see to which extent he can go for me to talk to him sweetly like before.
I was reading a book in the library as Adrian entered and took a seat beside me. I ignored his presence and continued to read.
“Evelyn…” He called me hesitantly.
“Hmm?” I hummed coldly.
“Look, I am so sorry for what I did, can you please forgive me? I didn’t mean to. I don’t know what took over me” He pleaded with me.
“Make sure this won’t happen again.” I said sternly.
“Yes.” He nodded, I remained cold. After a few seconds, he stood up and also took a book and began to read.

After a while, I got bored and stood up. I was about to leave but Adrian stopped me.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"To the kitchen, to prepare dinner," I replied.
"No! Don't go." He said. I looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Why?" I asked.
"I am not hungry. Father, Mother, Uncle Ray, Aunt Camila, you know, they all went to have dinner. As for Brother and that Hot Chili, She took brother out for dinner." He explained as I nodded. Meaning, me and Adrian are alone.
It's something I used to strive for but I felt nothing now.
“Oh.” I nodded and sat back.
"So, how about we order something?" I offered.
"Sure. But, not now. I am not hungry right now. Later?" He said sweetly. I smiled and replied with 'okay'. I suddenly realized,
"Wait. Lawrence came back and he didn't even greet me?" I said as sadness took over me.
"You know, She just took him the moment he entered." He tried to reason but I frowned.
"That doesn't mean he can't say a 'hello' to me. This is the first time he left without saying hello." I said exasperatedly, dejected.
"What if he is angry with me? What if I have gone too far? Adrian, everything's fine, isn't it?" I asked anxiously, worried Lawrence might not be angry at me for not understanding his position.
I totally understand but I wanted to see what he could do to convince me, I didn’t mean to hurt him.
"Everything is fine, Evelyn. You are being paranoid." Adrian tried to assure me but I scoffed and emit a deep breath expressing the anger building inside me.
“I shouldn’t have listened to you guys in the first place.” I muttered.
I looked at Adrian who looked at me cautiously. Like he is observing me. But me being infuriated, I glared at him and he turned his gaze away.
I was sitting there filled with unwanted thoughts but then I received a text from the person who was at the center of my thoughts. Lawrence.
Get ready. I am coming to get you.
A smile formed on my lips when I saw that text. All the rage that was building inside me faded away. I grinned and replied, I am not going anywhere.
His reply came,
I am coming and I'll pick you up in 10 minutes. Don't blame me.
I smirked and replied,
Do whatever you want.
My eyes were closed as I was smiling to myself. Ten minutes are over and my heart began to pulsate at an abnormal pace. I slowly opened my eyes and began to hum. Adrian looked at me and passed me a smile and I smiled back.
“So-” I was about to ask but-
Suddenly, Lawrence entered and looked at me. My eyes widened as he was smirking at me. I am in my usual black trousers and green checked shirt.
"I told you." That's all he said as he picked me up like a bridal style. A shiver went down my spine and gave a heavenly joy to my soul. A blush crept upon my cheeks as I became numb.
"W-What are you doing? Put me d-down." I stuttered as he chuckled at me and brought me close to him. I hid my face in his chest and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"No." He said and my heart skipped a beat. I gulped as he took me with him.
Instead of going out he climbed the stairs. I looked at him perplexed.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked.
"Shh.."
That's all he said as a spark filled my body and evoked sensations which are too much for me to bear but still I desire those.
He took me to the rooftop and my eyes widened in awe. The moonlight was igniting the sky as the rooftop was filled with candles and a table was set for us.
The aroma of food invokes a feeling of hunger in me as I was taken aback by this extremely stunning sight before me.
I grinned as Lawrence put me down. I covered my face with my hand and let out rapid breaths. He removed my hand and said,
"You didn't get a chance to be fed by me the way you wanted." He said as he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close.
I looked at his appealing eyes as a shy smile formed over my lips. He leans in and whispered in my ear,
"So I cooked this for you and I'll feed this to you." I closed my eyes and allowed that intoxicating feeling to fill me up. How perfectly he managed to pierce my heart with his affection.
How hopeless he was for my attention and did all this for me.
