Shruti's POV
It was morning, mom was preparing my favourite food for me. I had already done the packing for going back to Chandigarh.
Siddharth told me that he intended to leave after the brunch as there were still many guests and cousins at his place.
I was not sure that I should go with him or not... But it was better to go with him than going alone by bus or train as dad was too busy to go and drop me and as it is, I was old enough to manage things on my own.
But my stupid soul was pleading with me to go with him. Even my parents wanted me to go with Maurvi.
Only if they knew...
I didn't want to tell lies, but if I had told them, they would not let me go at all. I wanted to finish the internship and do MD as well.
My dad offered to drop me at Maurvi's place on his way to his showroom. He was driving but I felt that he looked a bit stressed out.
" Papa, are you not feeling well?? "
" No, I am fine... You saw all the test reports. Didn't you?? "
" Hmmm but if you ever have any problem, please discuss with me... I am old enough now to help you out. It is just that I have no experience of your kind of work. But you can tell, Kriti. She can help you with at least one of your departmental store, which is closer to her place. "
" No, she is well settled in her family. I would never bother her. As it is, she is a part of that family now and it is not considered good if the girl's of the family has to do work. "
" That's an ancient way of thinking, papa. "
" You may have become modern, but I am still the same, women of our family have never worked. "
" Papa... "
" Stop this argument. You go and do this internship and I will find a man for you to get married to. Take care. "
He dropped me at Maurvi's place, met her parents and went away. I was scared that her parents might tell my papa that I was not going with them but Siddharth. But thankfully it didn't happen.
As soon as papa left, she took me to her room and called Siddharth.
" Hi, Siddharth !! .... guess who is here at my place?? ..... Yes !! ... Ok!! Take your time. " She said and disconnected the call.
" He said, he will be here in 10 minutes. "
" Maurvi, I don't know... But I am confused about many things. I have mixed feelings about him. Plus, I have family issues... Our family atmosphere is very different. "
" I know... But no two families are the same... I assure you about Siddharth. Even if you can't trust me as we just met and I am getting married to his brother, trust Vidhi. She is your best friend. Above all trust yourself... Please ask yourself, what your heart or Soul thinks about him. " She said holding my hand.
" My family will not be ready for this."
" Why?? Siddharth is everything, any father would want his son-in-law to be. "
" They are old fashioned. "
" They didn't even want you to become a doctor, but you fought for it all by yourself. Now you have all of us. We will support you. All you have to do is to trust him and in your relationship. " She said. Just then Siddharth walked into her room.
" Hi !! " He said with a broad smile.
" Hello !!" I said with a faint smile.
" Hi Maurvi, Bhai is calling you on the terrace. "
" Why didn't he come here?? "
"Everyone is around and is teasing him be it your cousins or ours. " He said with a big grin.
" Let it be, they will start teasing me, if I go. " Maurvi said.
" Shall we keep your bags in my car angry bird?? "
" Angry bird?? Seriously Siddharth??" Maurvi said and he nodded with a smile. We came out, he took my bags from me and kept them in the car. He hugged her and said that He would miss her.
" Don't worry, I am coming to Chandigarh very soon. " She said.
Just then bhaiya came out. He glared at Siddharth and then he saw me and gave me a brotherly hug and smiled. " Take care... And try to get to know each other more and more. And if he troubles you, give me a call, I will come and beat him to a pulp. " He said to me.
His parents also came out to see off him and were surprised to see me.
They came to hug me too. I really liked them a lot... Such a friendly family.
" Take care of her, Sid. I will come and scold you there if I get to know that you are not taking care of her." His dad said.
" Ok, dad !! " He hugged his dad.
" Resolve all your issues, Sid, because I liked her. " Aunty said hugging me.
" Yes, mom !! " He said and hugged her too.
" Take care Sid pp, and please don't kill each other in the process. I want both of you to sort out everything and be together officially by our wedding. " Bhaiya said giving him a warm embrace.
He smiled and looked at me. I was getting embarrassed. I just smiled faintly and I slid into the car. Siddharth started the car and drove towards Chandigarh.
They all thought that we were already in some kind of relationship.
I wish all this was true. But I could not ignore the elephant in the room. What about Dr Isha ??

Siddharth's POV
I was driving towards our destination and wanted to travel together like this for the rest of our lives. I wanted to have her as my partner in the journey of my life.
She was lost in her thoughts. I wanted to know, what was going on in her mind.
So I stopped the car at a famous food joint.
" Why did you stop the car?? "
" I am hungry, need to have food and coffee. You can have your tea. " I said.
We went inside and went to a table. I ordered coffee and tea.
" What will you have??? "
" No, I don't want anything. "
" Oh, come on... Tell me what you want, they have all kinds of street food. Even I am tempted to try some." I tried to cheer her up but she was serious.
" I don't want anything. " She said and started going away.
" What happened, Shruti?? "
" Nothing... "
" Then why are you behaving like this? "
"Like what?? "
" Like this... Aloof, irritated... "
" You should not have told your parents about ... "
" About ?? "
" Ummm us! Me ! "
" Why ?? "
" There is almost nothing between us..." She said and started going away.
I got annoyed, so I followed her. She went towards my car.
" You think so?? " I asked.
" Hmmm "
" Enough !! I have had it now... What do you mean, that we have nothing between us?? "
" Yes !! "
" Then let me prove it that we have a lot going on between us. " I pulled her in my chest and crashed my lips against her soft and plump lips.
I wanted to punish those lips for always saying such things to hurt me but the moment my lips touched hers, I was shocked by their softness.
Shruti was struggling in my arms but I sucked her lower lip. I have always wanted to kiss her and imagined myself kissing her many times but the real experience was beyond my imagination.
Her lips were softer than flower petals. I lost control and licked them. I wanted to keep on kissing her forever so I bit lightly on them and she gasped. That one second was enough for me to invade in her mouth.
She was shocked and had stopped shrugging and to my surprise, she kissed me back hesitantly.
Oh My God !!! I lost myself in that hesitant kiss. The sweetest thing that has ever been exchanged between us.
I picked her in my arms while still kissing her. She wrapped her arms around my neck to prevent herself from falling. I continued to teach her how to kiss, after all, I was her senior, it was my pleasure to help her learn new skills.
