Chapter 12
I got my clothes on and looked at myself at the mirror before heading out. I’m wearing a black sleeveless shirt and grey jeans with my Nike shoes. I walked through the door and opened it. I saw him staring at nowhere. He motioned his attention to me as soon as I got off the room. He has a shirt now and he's wearing a mint blue shirt and black jeans. No fair. He’s always looking fine.
"You're slow." he said as he stepped in front of me. I know that he’s going to tease me again. Don’t step back Audrey! He’ll trap you again.
"What do you want?" I asked.
He ignored me and asked, “Do you want to visit the tower once more?" The tower near the mansion we used to play at. That’s a fantastic place! That place has a lot of wonders including treasures and beautiful scenery but for some reason no one attempts to steal there. There’s no guards or caretakers present but it’s always clean and seems untouched.
I look up into him. Damn, he's tall. "Okay. I would like to see that place again." I murmured. "But first I want to check my Auntie and Grandma. If you're free you can go with me.", I said.
He nodded, and then someone rushed towards us. I can tell that he’s in a rush and his condition is not that good. I gasped when he fell to the floor. His head was bowed down at the floor. What happened to him? Moreover his eyes are gleaming yellow.
"Alpha, Luna", he paused. "Please excuse me for it is very important." Alpha? Luna? Is this man referring to us? Why did he call us in those titles?
"Speak up, Pup!" I heard Troy growled and the person on the ground flinched. He's tone suddenly changed.
"We've seen a group of wolves running on our territory. They seemed interested in our borders. Some of our pack members are now observing and waiting for your orders Alpha." The borders of this place?
"Tell them to wait for me at the pack house. We'll plan our strategy there and tell Matthew to take charge until I get there." Troy said as he grabbed my hand. “They really came at the worst time. I hate my time being wasted.”
"Alpha, will you bring our Luna there?" the man asked. Troy looked at me and shook his head. What is happening? Are they having a fight?
"It’s not safe there, maybe some other time." he said.
The man quickly gets up and runs. He was injured a while ago! How come that he recovered so quickly? I heard Troy sighed. If there’s something that is needed to be done he should not be wasting his time here. He must be very busy. He leaned forward to my face until his nose touched mine. He places his hand on my neck and places a soft kiss on my forehead again.
"I'll be back, wait for me at the living room, don't leave Lily's side. Just don't talk to strangers when I'm away okay?” he said and held my hand, “Are we clear?" he asked with full determination.
"What do you think of me? A child?" I paused. Seriously, the child here is you. "T-Take care of yourself there. You don’t have to worry about me. I’m not leaving. I will just stay here so you do what you need to do. I’ll just wait for you here." I said and he nodded.
He smiled. "You're cute when you’re caring about me" he said with a smirk on his face.
“Now go. Come back safe.” I blushed. I can feel the heat on my face.
"You're red" he chuckles.
"Shut up!" I hissed.
We got down and went to the kitchen. Lilly grabbed my hand as Troy left and disappeared. Lily looks like she already knew the situation. Is she used to this kind of thing? If she’s working here for a long time then maybe she is. She quickly assisted me to the kitchen to eat and I went with her.
For the past ten years, is he always like this? Does Troy face these problems every day? I hope that he’ll be okay. He’s the Alpha after all, he needs to be strong.

Troy Williams
I left Audrey with Lilly. She's one of the strongest females in my pack. I can't focus if there's a male around her. The urge to claim her is getting stronger. Other's scent might trigger me to do it in the wrong timing and hurt my mate. I have to remain calm and protect her no matter what. Right now, I can barely stop myself. I won't forgive myself if I ever hurt her. She's the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me. I'll make sure she will have all the best of the world because she deserves it.
I ran straight to the woods because it's one of the fastest ways to get back to the pack house. This hideout is made of titanium. Generations to another, this base had protected my clan and never been raided nor destroyed. This is one of the prides of Crystal Moon.
"Alpha please give us your orders." Nathan Rogers. He's in charge of training new recruits and planning strategies for surprise attacks. His fast reflexes are a good contribution to Crystal Moon.
They bow their heads as I pass by. This is a common event to us; the Crystal Moon is expanding lands and can't help other rouges to erode our territory. I draw a formation and strategies that might work then my subordinates pass it until everyone has seen it. They slowly nod their heads as I spoke.
"That is our plan. Vince, your group will wait to the east. Don't let anyone pass through and report anything strange. Nathan, your group will be the one to guard the west. Get yourselves ready cause there's more possibility that they will be there for ambush. Ace, your group will serve as a guard too we'll never know if there're back-ups. Wait for my signal and we'll corner them. Observe the surroundings and I will locate you in the south. And Marco your group will be our back up. Then lastly Ken your group will be at the boundary. I'll place you in the North. Questions?" I said and I started stretching my arms.
"What about you Alpha." Marco asked while the other gathered weapons.
"I'll face them head on. I have Matthew's group with me to stay on your posts. Let's eat them alive!" I shouted and my pack yelled back.
"Yeahh!!!"
They shifted to their wolf form and went to their respective post. I howled and everyone started running. My pack might not be that big but I have trained each member myself. I know their capabilities and they should not embarrass me. We always do this our way.
"Is that all, Alpha?" Matthew questioned.
"I have plan B just in case." I said.
"You're good at planning as always. Have you made up your mind when to bring Luna here?" He asked and I stopped. It's true they have to see Audrey. However, I can't stand males staring at her, she’s still unmarked.
"I'll bring her here after the marking ceremony is done. But I'll introduce her to all after this. And I won't let her stay here until she's unmarked." I just couldn’t stand it. I will just keep her near me just until then.
"I agree, Alpha" he said and shifted too.
"Now let's go."
