I can't sleep nor eat. My wolf craves for someone that is barely here. Last night, I smelled the nostalgic sweet jasmine and dark chocolate mixture scent. I can't be mistaken, the person who owns that scent was gone a long time ago. It's intoxicating enough to wake me up all night howling the loneliness of my wolf for our mate. It seems like I was being played by the moon. When I found the reason for me to live she took it away. I was too helpless back then. I can barely do anything. I was far too weak to stand up for my own. I was just a cub. If I were stronger maybe I can make her stay and protect her.
I barely remember her face, but her scent carves inside me like a knife. The scent I will never forget even for the day I will die. Strange, very strange as the memories of us hunts me all night. I can feel her, her scent that lingers on, her breathing. My mate seems close and yet so far to imagine. There are no days that I did not think of seeing her again and make her mine for eternity. When I found her at the mansion we were both young. It was strange to sense the mark at a young age but I felt her. Our bonds were tied to each other and I think of it as a gift. She was too precious. I am still waiting for the day that we can see each other again.
My daydreaming of having her is making me crazy but last night was on a different level. I went out to take a walk and catch a glimpse of vanilla sweet scent and I ran for it. I let my wolf take over me as I search for that scent that I crave. I found it inside an old house deep inside the woods. I opened the window and the moonlight lit up her face and was dumbfounded. Inside that room the scent was rich and it’s alluring me to come inside. My wolf wants to hold her so bad but when I saw her turn around I was shocked out of my head. If I move so carelessly I might hurt her scare her and if that happens I cannot forgive myself. When I run off I feel alone. When I woke up I was debating whether what I saw was real or not. Am I missing her this bad?
Staring outside my office, a knock woke me from my deep thoughts. Thinking about these will hinder me from work. I must stop this instantly. The pack house activities looks fine, everything looks just a normal day. I have a lot of work to be done and it’s bad to lose focus.
"Get in." I said and the door flung open.
The door bangs open, it's Matthew. He runs inside and bows his head to me. Matthew is my beta, second in command and I have known him ever since we're pups. I saw a female on his side looking at me and I easily got annoyed.
“Leave the person who has something that doesn’t waste my time.” The female whimpered and left. I hate people who waste my time.
"What is it?" I asked Matthew and he walked toward me with his amused face. This must be something important.
"Last night as I was taking my rounds, a car stopped by the house of one of our elders. I hid until I got to see our visitors, I saw her alpha. Audrey is here. She glanced at me so I ran, I don't know if she saw me, but my first response is to run and report the return of our Luna. But, I want to confirm it first." I narrowed my eyes on him.
“You what?” I growled.
“I don’t want to report false information so I confirmed it this morning. I have not mistaken. Audrey is here. She came back.” He said and I stood up from my chair and grabbed his collar.
“You better not mistaken Matthew. You don’t go around saying her name like that. I will not hesitate to punish you.” I said clutch his neck. How dare he say hey name like that? I can’t even say it right now. It breaks me.
“I am certain. I saw her with my eyes. She came back.” He said and I let go of his collar and he collapsed on the floor. I face palmed my face for not realizing it. Last night was real. She was that person in the woods. That’s not a dream but reality. Why did she come back so suddenly?
“I’m sorry, Alpha.” He coughed.
“Where is she right now? I need to see her.” I asked.
“I was told to escort her and one of the Elders back to the Castle. Madam Rosette was the one who ordered it. They are currently at the castle right now.” He said and I grabbed my phone.
I need to contact Rosette to confirm it. When I opened my phone I saw a message that made me feel like I was stuck. I couldn’t move. Is this excitement? Am I happy that she is here? Why do I feel frozen right now? What am I so afraid of?

I dismissed Matthew and told him to get the car ready.
I can’t believe this is happening. After ten years she came back. Who might have thought that what I am dreaming off all this time has come? All this time I was searching for her. Human technology is interesting. You can find information about a person and just by knowing her name but I soon gave up. We met at a young age so I don’t know what she looks like now. All I know is her name and her beautiful smile.
I clutched my hand. My wolf longs for his mate. What if she forgot about me long ago? Did she come back to see me or not? Is it her summer vacation again? She came here by accident and it was summer. Whenever I think of her I see the sun. She is my sunshine and my light in this dark world. I want to see you again my sunshine but, do you still know who I am?
