“Your eyes are... glowing, Troy.” I was amazed.
"I went to the pack house for some files and to check them out, I thought you already recognized me because you called my name. But you stepped back and I so rushed toward you. I swear your reactions are all funny." He started laughing again and this time I punched him. He’s laughing but I can’t take my eyes off of him.
"Oh, this?" he said, turning around, "It's a full moon, it can't be helped." He sighed as his hand clenched tight. "It's full moon again, and you're unmarked." He looked at me with his sad red eyes. "I'm an Alpha. These things are what make it all complicated."
"Troy, Sorry but I don't get it." I told him. Marked? Does that mean another hickey? I remembered Grandma Candice telling me that it includes sexual emotions. What does that even mean?
"You don't have to," he said and went closer to me. "All you have to know is I am, I'll wait for you always. If it’s you then I will wait. I’ve waited for you for a decade and I’d wait for another." He said and his red eyes gleamed through the light of the moon. I nodded, even without understanding his words completely..
“Thank you, Troy.” His voice is enough to trust his words "You're sweating. What did you do?" I asked as small beads of sweat dripped from his forehead.
"I ran," he answered.
"All the way from the pack house?!" I asked.
"Yes. It’s my coping mechanism when my body is in heat like this. Is there a problem?" he said that but is he serious? It took us almost an hour riding a car.
"Well.. who's with you? You did that all alone?" I asked and he snatched my right hand again and stole a kiss. He ran all by himself.
"Don't worry. I'm fine, alright?" he said and I surrendered, “This is my territory. No one gets to walk around with it in peace than me alone." He said, taking another step near me and hugged me from the back. He sniffed my neck, like what he usually does so I let him be. Heck, can I really stop him from doing it?
"You should take a bath." I said. "You stink." I said while blushing. His scent is intoxicating and it’s strange.
"Are you going with me?" He said with a smirk. I blushed.
"No! I'll go to my room and take a bath!" I hissed.
"Now that's sad." He pouted.
I turned around and kissed him on the cheek. He looked shocked and frozen at the moment and I laughed. Serves you right Troy, just a kiss from all that you said about respecting my time. I let go of his hug and proceeded to my room to take a bath. Warm water would be a great help for my tired body.
When I entered my room, I'm surprised to see a big yellow box with ribbons. What is this? A present? From whom? It was named after Mrs.W and addressed to me, Audrey Howey. This means it’s not from Troy. We just talked to each other.
I opened it and I gasped. Chocolates? There's a bunch of them together with some sweet candies too. They look so cute to eat, the designs are mostly pink and with yellow ribbons. The box has this strange scent that is luring me to eat them all. It was powerful that I just slumped next to the chocolates and I felt relaxed.
I shook off the thought and went to the bathroom. I need to cleanse myself first. Maybe I'm just tired, tired enough to make me drool for chocolates. I ran to my wardrobe and put on my sleeping essential starter pack. My pajama felt comfortable and I was drugged again by the scent of freshly delivered chocolates.
Mrs.W? Mrs. Williams? Is that what it is? But that seemed impossible. I met her before when Troy introduced me to Madam Rosette. She looks sick back there, I wonder what happened.
I haven't heard anything from Troy about her since I came back and I didn't bother to ask. Thinking it that way, does it made me look stupid that I'm with werewolves when I was young and I never noticed anything? They must be putting up an effort to hide it from me since I was eight, what a shame.
Someone knocked and peeked, it's Lilly. "What can I help you with, Lilly?"
"Alpha wants to see you." She said and sighed .In the middle of the night? Is he making fun of me again?
"Tell him to stop and you should rest now, Ly ." She nodded and closed the door. I started eating the chocolate from the present earlier, this tastes good! I can't get enough with the unique flavor .A little bitter with the taste of coffee in it.
I saw my phone vibrating but I chose to ignore it. Who in the world will call in the middle of the night?
I wonder what Troy needs, I hope he's not into something irritating again. I needed to pee so I left the chocolates on the table and went to the bathroom. My vision is getting a little blurry, I'm sleepy. I fell asleep really quickly.
When I got back, I saw a familiar figure sitting on my bed. It's Troy. I didn't bother to ask what he's doing in here. I'm too tired to have a midnight chat with him. I collapsed when I reached my bed. Nothing beats the comfort of soft futon on a tired and sleepy body.
"You're not picking up." He asked and pushed back my hair away from my face,
"I'm tired, sorry." I murmured and turned around. Why is he bothering me?
"What did you do?" He asked and went near the present from the table.
"You mean after you gave me a mini heart attack? I ate chocolates." I said and rolled like a ball. My eyes are getting heavy. I feel a little uncomfortable so I stood up and stripped my T-shirt to remove my bra and wore it again, now that's better. It’s hot in here. I just need to do that.
"What are you doing?!" he blushed, "Who gave the chocolates?" He seems to be a little tense. What is it now?
"It was addressed to me. So please can I sleep now?" I groaned and collapsed again to my bed and grabbed my pillow to hug it. The pillow smells clean. Has it always smelled like this?
"You sleep too." I muttered. What is in the chocolates? It made me really sleepy. Or maybe I'm just really tired. This day is not a joke anyway. I mean, no day is ever a joke here. Every day here never fails to surprise me.
"Audrey.." I hummed when I noticed that Troy hasn’t left yet.
"Can I.. Sleep next to you?" he said, "You don't seem well I want to make sure you're okay." He reasoned out. “I promise not to do anything. I just want you safe. There’s something wrong with that chocolate.”
"Do as you please." I said and rolled to the other side. He quickly climbs to bed to join me. His nose we're buried deep in my neck and I know he's smiling. He started to pat my back and drawing circles that made me more relaxed as I went on a deep slumber
