It's been weeks since Kyle's death and he had been buried, Nicole went to visit Stefan, "I'm surprised you allowed me to visit when our connection had been severed" she smiled sadly at the thought of Kyle and Stefan scoffed at her, "I'm surprised I allowed you to visit after you severed our connection, you were such a bad mother"
"Was that why you lied that you were out of the country and didn't even show up despite knowing your son needs you?"
Nicole went to the bar and poured two glasses of wine, she offered a glass to Stefan and settled down with hers.
"I never knew he would die, you never mention it was that serious" he took a sip of his wine and frowned, "Kyle is gone now, I just want to move on" he explained taking another sip.
"Is it so easy for you to move on? To forget about him"
"I must admit it isn't easy but I have to, you too do the same"
Nicole smiled again and Stefan stared at her, shifted uncomfortably on his couch, he suddenly felt a fiery pain and hotness inside and he unbuttoned his clothes, but his inside was still on fire, he tried to get up but his legs were suddenly too weak to carry him, he stared at Nicole as the realization dawned on him, "what the hell have you done to me" he managed to rasp as he struggled to breathe, panic clawed at his heart.
Nicole smiled coldly, "that's for taking away my son, how do you feel seeing death so near, when you get to the other side, make sure you apologize to Kyle" she hissed maliciously and Stefan made to grab her but she simply averted his hand as she watched him writhe in pain on the floor.
"Please...." he managed on a choke.
"My son didn't get that chance to plead for his life to be spared"
"You ... won't get away with this".
She again smiled coldly, "don't worry, when you're gone, no trace of poison will be found in your system, your death will forever be a mysterious one".
She watched as he struggled for his life before taking on last breath and he grew still, one down, more to go, she would deal with all of them that had refused to help Kyle, she carried her bag as she walked away, quietly closing the door behind her, inside her car, she quietly removed the transparent gloves she was wearing, one that masked her fingerprints, the police can investigate but they wouldn't see anything against her, not even a print.
Next, she would have to pay Marcella a visit in the cell, they have to start rolling their plans and hit all their enemies before they would suspect what hits them.
Kathleen had come to the rehab center as usual to see Michael Deloux, it's been two months since he has been confined here and she paid him a visit every day, she was glad to see he was improving amicably. She had just come down from the car when she saw a familiar figure leaving the center, Nicole? What was she doing here? How did she find out about the center Derek's father was confined in? She quickly rushed in to see if he was okay, she found him lying with his face turned facing the wall, he turned when she entered, "did anyone apart from me come to visit you today?" She asked him and he shook his head negatively.
She grimaced, if Nicole hadn't come to see him, then who had she come to see?
"No lady came here? She repeated just to be sure and again he shook his head, something was odd about his behaviors, other times he do look very excited when she comes but he was looking dull and seemingly lost today, what could be wrong?
"Are you alright?" Again he nodded at her question without saying anything.
Kathleen stayed with him for a while before finally leaving, she was troubled about his odd behavior and also, about the fact that she had seen Nicole leaving, she hadn't seen her since the day of Kyle's death and she was having a bad feeling about her visit. She walked straight to Michael's doctor after leaving his room to inquire about Nicole's visit but the doctor told her that no one had visited Michael that day apart from her neither had anyone with Nicole's description come to the hospital. Was she being paranoid? She had thought she saw Nicole, maybe she was seeing things, she told the doctor to watch over Michael Deloux well before exiting the center.
Michael Deloux stared at the door and made sure Kathleen had left before bringing out his gift from that lady, he was sorry he had to lie to Kathleen but that lady had told him she would continue giving him his dose if he keeps her visit a secret, he tried his best to reject her offer but his body had taken on that uncontrollable hunger when she had brought out the drugs and passed it across his nose, his lungs took on a painful spasm when he caught a whiff of the drugs, still, he had tried to reject, needing to be strong for Kathleen and Derek but had failed woefully when she had forced his mouth opened and had dropped a dose in, his body shook as a familiar hunger overtook him, one wasn't enough, he needed more and she had promised to give him more if he kept her presence a secret and so he had lied to Kathleen when she asked. He brought out the dose remaining from where he had hidden it and quickly took it, she had promised to bring more for him every day, his nerves finally calmed when he took it and he closed his eyes and simply fell asleep.
Nicole smiled pleased with herself as she drove home, Stefan had been taken care of now she would hit Derek where it hurts, she would use his father against him, he would feel the pain of losing a loved one, she was doing it for Kyle. She had gone to visit Marcella and she had told her exactly what she wanted and had where and how to get the dose, Derek won't know what hits him until it was too late. She would avenge her son and seek Justice for him and no one can stand in her way, not even that nosy Kathleen.
