I mindlink Sam to come to the park before continuing the conversation with anyone. I entangled my hand with Sana. She smiled and rested her head over my shoulder.
"Please don't sleep again like in the morning." Irene chuckled. Sana pouted and looked at me. I smiled and lovingly removed the strands of hair coming on her face and locked them behind her ear. I know she must be feeling sleepy after a tiring day and almost at this time, we slept unless we planned something or slept during the day.
"you can sleep... Ask Maya to take control of your body. In this way, you can rest and Maya will answer our queries if any, and later She will tell you everything that we discuss over here" I suggested.
"As if my sleep won't get broken with noise around us" she rolled her eyes. I pulled her cheeks as she was looking so cute.
"Don't worry... Maya will block you in mind for a while so that you can't hear anything from outside. in this way you can sleep peacefully as much as you want" I muttered. She nodded her head understanding my point.
"That's a good idea… I'm giving her control not for you but for everyone. In this way, she can get along with everyone." Sana mumbled and soon her eyes turned golden. Everyone sat straight and stiffened their bodies because of Maya's aura.
Sana is blessed with a golden wolf which rarely gets anyone but who has a heart of gold. Golden Wolves have a different aura around them, they make the environment friendly and at the same time, if they are angry then their aura forces the person in front of them to kneel and give up. I feel so proud of Sana and Maya.
"Alpha" I look at my side, hearing Sam's voice. She bowed her head. Maya smiled and signalled her to sit beside her. Sam looked at me reluctantly. I blinked my eyes telling her it was okay. She hesitantly obliged Maya and sat beside her.
"We were discussing Richard's real wife who was involved in every crime that Richard did. That's why I thought to call you." I said. Sam smiled and nodded her head.
"Thank you, Alpha,"
"Isn't he getting too frank with this young girl?" Maya mindlinked to Sana. She hasn't closed her mindlinked with me because of this I can hear all her conversations with Sana. I tightened my lips to control my laugh.
"She is like a younger sister to him" Sana giggled and soon Maya's jealousy changed into a big smile. I picked a water bottle from the side table which the maid kept here for us along with some blankets. I started drinking water which tasted a little different but I ignored it. I looked at Maya who was smiling.
"Ohh… My mate is so good. He considers every other woman as his sister" Maya replied to Sana, making me spit water out of my mouth. I look at her dumbstruck.
"What happened?" Emily asked.
"Are you okay?" Maya asked worriedly.
"Yeah… I'm fine" I mumbled. Maya wiped water around my lips with her sleeves then took a bottle from my hand and drank water.
"It tastes a little weird" She mumbled and started drinking water. She almost finished the whole bottle.
"Seems like you were thirsty for so long" I mumbled and picked another bottle from the side table and drank it. Like Maya, I also finished the whole bottle as after testing a few drops, the water tasted good.
"Ohh god, they drank our bottle" Irene mumbled nervously while biting her nails.
"What do you mean?" I asked to which she didn't reply. I was about to question her again when Maya mindlink me.
"I know you can hear our conversation" my eyes widened hearing her.
"Then why didn't you close our mindlinked"
"There is nothing hidden from you because of which I would have to close it."
"Would you stop talking in your mind and continue the conversation?" Max said, sensing we were lost in our world. I turned my head and looked at him annoyingly.
"you're such a spoilsport" I laughed loudly because this time it was not me who taunted Max but Maya. Max looked at her but didn't say anything. Instead, he smiled and then nodded his head.
"What was that? Won't you answer her as you did to me?" I asked shockingly.
"No... After seeing Maya, I'm happy because now there is someone who is there for Luna to protect her when we were not present with her." He mumbled. My eyes went to Emily who was a little annoyed with Max's words.
"You should trust your mate, Emily," Maya said.
"It's easy to say... I will also see how you would react when your mate will give priorities to another female over you" Emily scoffed. Maya was about to growl at her but I tightened my grip on her hand, silently indicating to her not to do anything.
"Emily" Max frowned. "Don't forget, she is our Luna"
"Leave all this and come to the main point," I said in an Alpha tone which was enough for everyone to shut their mouth.
"I thought about our conversation in the morning and I came to a conclusion that there must be a few people who were loyal to Richards and I'm sure they saw his real wife as well," Sam said.
"If they are loyal to Richard then why would they open their mouths and speak against their Luna," Emily said.
"Emily has a point," Max muttered.
"I had a question, if Richard had someone else in his life then they must have marked each other. Haven't you seen the mark on Richard's neck, Sana" Stefan asked looking at Maya. "I mean Maya," He mumbled.
"No... he wasn't marked. Maybe he didn't let his mate do that," Maya replied. I nod my head.
"Or maybe he hid it with the help of a witch," I said.
"That could be possible because he knows a witch... Her name is Ella" Maya said, widening my eyes.
"Ella?" I asked again to confirm.
"Yeah... she came to Richard's villa once to visit him and she also confessed in front of Sana that she is the one who told Richard about her and after remembering those conversations, I had a feeling that she knew Richard married Sana for his heir." I tightened my fist hearing Maya. It made me furious that Ella stooped so low to get me. I know she is a psycho who wants me at any cost.
'Are you thinking the same as I'm thinking?' Dominic asked.
'Ella can see the future and I'm sure she knew that Sana is my mate that's why she planned to settle Sana with Richard to erase all the possibilities which could bring us closer to our mate and when it didn't work, she give Andrew that wolfsbane injection combined with silver to kill our mate' I frowned.
"You know her?" Maya asked. I broke my mind with Dominic and turned my head towards Maya.
"Who?" I asked.
"Ella" I didn't reply and took a deep breath to steady my anger.
"Her mother was a close friend of Alex's mother," Max replied.
"she would have hidden Richard's mark but his mate must have his mark over her shoulder" Stefan reasoned and looked at Maya.
"Do you see any women with a mark that represents a higher-rank wolf?" he asked. Maya started thinking for a while and then looked at me.
"Ava," she mumbled.
"Ava?" I scrunched my eyebrow, not able to understand about whom she was talking.
"the woman whom we saw in the forest and you asked me why I got angry," she replied. I nod my head remembering that moment.
"One day she came to the villa where I was staying with Richard and I don't know why she gave me negative vibes like she hates me and Sana. That day she intentionally sits near Richard and makes out with him. Since Sana used to think that she loves Richard, she felt broken and I got disgusted seeing both Ava and Richard close to each other. Sana went towards Richard and called him 'husband' which made Ava furious and she started insulting Sana in front of every maid who was there. She called Sana slut, whore and with many disgusting words and our dumb Sana was listening to everything waiting for Richard to take a stand for her but he didn't. I lost control over my anger and came to the surface, growling at them. I released my Aura but then that bastard Richard played his emotional card in front of Sana and manipulated her so well that She got against me." Maya said, fuming in anger while remembering those moments. I moved my hand on her arms to calm her and maybe it worked. Her body relaxes and she rests her head over my shoulder. It brings a smile to my face seeing our bond… We know how to calm each other anger just by our presence.
