It was a fine Saturday and it was the first day of our shoot. I walked inside the venue, which was a resort not far from the city, together with my two bodyguards; yes, Wade sent bodyguards along with me saying that it was for my safety. I didn't argue too much since it would take too much of my time and I would be late for this shoot. I entered the lobby of what I think was their hotel and saw a few familiar faces in the industry of modeling. I looked around for whoever was in charge and I saw the woman who was the coordinator and the one who emailed me about this shoot. We also met yesterday to discuss the theme and the venue of the shoot so I have familiarized her face already. She waved at me and I waved back.
"Hi," She said as she hugged me politely. "It's so good to see you again, Miss Camierre."
"It's great to see you too, ma'am," I said. "And I already told you; just call me Cami."
"Alright, Cami, let's go and meet the others." She said. "Wait, who are they?"
She was looking behind me and I knew that she was referring to my bodyguards.
"Oh, don't mind them," I said. "They're my bodyguards."
"Bodyguards? Why do you have them? Are you receiving death threats?" She said confused.
"No, it's not like that," I said. "They're just here to look over me. You can just forget that they're even around."
"Oh, I see," She said. "Was this your husband's idea?"
"Y-yeah, actually it was," I said.
"He's so sweet and caring huh," She said and smiled. "Good for you,"
I only smiled and didn't say anything; if only you know, I thought to myself.
"Anyway, let's go," She said and pulled me somewhere. "Let's meet the other models that you'll be working with. I'm sure you'll like them."
She pulled me into the receiving area where most of the models were seated. She introduced me to them as Camierre Harris and as usual Wade's surname rang a bell on people's heads.
"So you are the gorgeous wife of the famous businessman Wade Harris, it's so nice to meet you." A man named Drake came to me and offered his hand to which I gladly accepted. He was a tall man, a few inches taller than I am, and has a good body structure no wonder he's a great model as the coordinator said.
"It's nice to meet you too," I said.
"It's a good thing that you two are starting to get along well since Drake here will be your partner in the duo shots for tomorrow," The coordinator, Dulce, said. "Am I right?"
I nodded. We were already informed yesterday about the different sets of photoshoots such as the solo, duo, and group shots. This is a bikini endorsement that is why we will be shooting in this wonderful resort.
Miss Dulce gathered everyone's attention and told us that we have to check-in and be at the conference room where the make-up session and outfit distribution will be held. The organizer booked rooms which can cater a ratio of two is to one which means that I will be having a roommate for the whole duration here. I was hesitant at first at the thought since I didn't have an experience of sharing a bed with a stranger but I realized that I have no control over this and I am pretty sure that no matter who I will be sharing this room with, I would be safe and sound.
Miss Dulce gave me the key to my assigned room and told me to start settling down in there and be down in an hour. I nodded and took my luggage with me. I was about to walk towards the elevator when I thought of my bodyguards.
"How about you? You can't be in my room; my roommate won't like that." I said.
"We already checked in at the room right next to you, Miss." One of them, Clark, said.
I nodded. Wow, that was fast and how the hell did they get the room across mine? I am pretty sure that it was a floor designated for the models. Oh well, I know they must have used some sort of techniques in there. It's not like Wade has no connections everywhere.
I went to the elevator together with my bodyguards and as soon as it opened on my floor, I quickly got out. One of them pulled my luggage but I took it from him.
"It's okay; I can manage," I said.
He handed it to me and walked behind me.
"This is my room," I said.
They nodded and I opened the door.
"Miss, if you need anything, we'll be right outside your door." One of them, Echo, said.
I nodded and stepped into my room. Obviously, my roommate wasn't here yet. The room has two double-sized beds which are good since I love sleeping in a huge bed that I can move around. It has a full glass wall that faces the ocean and the pool. This was a great spot; I loved it. I started unpacking my things and put them in the mini closet. I only have one hour to prepare and that isn't much of a time. I quickly took a shower and went out on my robe when I was done. I almost slipped myself when I noticed that I wasn't alone in the room anymore. A blonde girl was sitting on the bed and looked like she has been in there for quite some time since she has unpacked her things already. This must be my roommate. She smiled at me and stood up.
"Hi," She said and offered her hand. "My name is Lara; I assume you're my roommate?"
I smiled back at her and accepted her hand. "Yes, my name is Camierre, it's nice to meet you. I hope we could have a great time together."
"You are Wade Harris's wife, right?" She said and my smile faded. "I know who you are and it's a pleasure to be able to work with you and be your room buddy."
"Oh," I said. "Yeah, thanks."
"I heard that you brought some bodyguard with you, is that true?" She said as she sat down on her bed.
I walked to my mini closet and took a simple spaghetti-strapped top and denim shorts. "Yeah, why do you have a problem with that?"
She shook her head vigorously and stood up. "I was just curious; that's all."
"Oh, Wa-, I mean my husband, he was the one who insisted on sending them. Are you bothered by their presence?" I said.
"No, not at all," She said as she took her robe and walked to the bathroom. "It's even good that you have them here; it would make us extra safer. By the way, your husband is so sweet and protective; not to mention that he also is one of the most handsome businessmen in the country. You're so lucky to have him."
I almost rolled my eyes at what she said but I controlled myself. "Yeah," I muttereD. If only you knew.
She went to the bathroom and I was left alone. I changed into the clothes that I have chosen and started preparing myself.
